Enjoyed the filet mignon. The atmosphere was neat with the firehouse items. It was a little drafty and cold though, so bring a sweater.

Well i would have loved to eat here but unfortunately their hours are not accurately reflected on Unilocal.Just for future reference to anyone reading this, lunch goes until 2 and dinner starts at 4. The kitchen is closed during the hours of 2 and 4 pm. This would have been great information to know before i drove there, found parking, and then turned away.

We enjoyed this place very much. My son and I tried two appetizers the Margarita and the meatballs. The meatballs were tender and delicious, but the sauce, was outstanding. My son enjoyed the seafood stew and his tiramisu. Will definitely be going there again. Just one thing, I just wish they had a few more entrée optiins to chose from. .great place

Their new location is really nice and cozy. Its well decorated and gives it a nice relaxed, classy vibe. The food is very good and our waitress was kind and available whenever we needed anything. The menu is not big but you can tell the dishes are carefully picked.

«What are you doing here?» I ask the chef and owner, Ray as I chew the last bite of my first dinner at La Parilla. «What do you mean?» Ray replies while personally delivering a fresh desert topped with melt-in-your-mouth-made-from-scratch Caramel. «This isn’t Oswego food; this isn’t an Oswego restaurant.» Ray and I share a knowing look. It’s true. His ever-changing menu is filled with seasonal choices expertly crafted by hand from fresh local ingredients. It turns out that Ray has been the personal chef for some of the best-known people in Hollywood. Originally from the area, he felt drawn back to his roots and, thankfully for us, brought his incredible talent with him. «Please don’t leave.» My wife calls to Ray as we head out the door. «We’ll tell everyone we know about this place.» And we do.

I’m very impressed u made an improvement to your establishment, by opening a new restaurant and creating some pizazz, the food is better than before and the hours are much much better. I am very happy about the awesomeness of la parilla and I will dine there more often.

I was in town for my brother’s graduation, and when it came time to pick a spot for the graduation dinner, I assumed we’d have to go to Syracuse, because there couldn’t possibly be an acceptable spot in Oswego. But, I’m delighted to report that La Parrilla proved me wrong. I’m currently living in DC, and this food was on par with some of the nicer restaurants here. As it turns out, La Parilla is moving down the street, and my family and I accidentally visited the new location. But we called the number and the hostess was very friendly and helpful in telling us where to go. We came 30 minutes before our reservation but were still seated immediately. Because we hadn’t eaten since breakfast, we ordered just about everything on the menu. First four appetizers to share: the calamari, the pizza, the rice ball and the mussels. Honestly, some of the best mussels I’ve had in my life. They almost tasted grilled, and the tequila sauce was amazing. I was also pleasantly surprised by the rice ball and the sauce with it — I devoured this. Unfortunately, the calamari was underwhelming. I don’t like aoli so I ate it sans, and it tasted like oil. My family who ate it with the sauce really liked it though. And the pizza, well… it was kind of bad. There was something off with the crust, and not enough ingredients on the top. Otherwise, everything else was delicious. For a main I got the steak. It was larger than my face, and very yummy. The rice and beans were so flavorful too! My mom’s salmon and beans with bacon was excellent. Although, the rice in my brother’s paella was very hard. Dessert was amazing. We got some doughnut like things, and the crème brule. I don’t even like crème brule, but this was so sweet, I couldn’t help but eat it all. My mom and I loved the wine selection, and the sangria. The beer list was lacking, but if you get the Ommegang, a beer enthusiast would be ok. The atmosphere was not great. Most of the dishes had a plain napkin used to soak up oil. And the door was open the whole time so it was kind of cold. But, if I’m ever in Oswego again, I would certainly return.

Favorite local eatery. Tonight had GF homemade zeppolis for dessert-where else would you find those? Ray(owner and chef) will make you whatever you want on the menu gluten free. He caters to his clientele in a way most restaurants would not. Best Alfredo sauce. Love this place!

The food is great, the service is pretty good, and the pricing is reasonable at La Parrilla. I would return to, and recommend, this place without hesitation.

Wish I had the service and food that my fellow Unilocalers have shared here. Eaten here twice have twice been disappointed. Not a fan of their crispy pizza. Their entrees have fallen short — shells and sausage was okay but I found myself just picking out the sausage. Expanding the wine list would help too. Their bar is limited to wine and beer. Saw several having the steak — would try that the next time.

Ate here on a whim one night knowing nothing about it. Service was good but the food was exceptional! The menu had enough items to peak anyone’s interests but not so much as to be completely overwhelming. From the first bite of my appetizer to the last bite of my entrée I could taste the freshness of the ingredients used. From the well thought out menu and quality ingredients to the friendly staff and reasonable prices, it was obvious that a real professional is running the show here.

This is a great place to dine for lunch or dinner. I end up there once a week because the food, the wait staff and the owner are all top shelf!

Really has to be one of the best places to dine in Oswego. Had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. Te gelato is good but nothing special. Good service, nice atmosphere and def worth a try.

This was my first time at La Parilla and it is definitely not my last. The food was wonderful. The décor and music were both comfortable and festive. The service was friendly and accommodating. Both the Pizza my husband had and my Vegetable Panini were satisfying and had great flavors. I love that they use all fresh, local ingredients. The Zeppoles were amazing. Best I have ever had.

A great addition to the Oswego restaurant scene. The quality of service and atmosphere are only eclipsed by the quality of the food. I thought La Parilla would be a flash in the pan like other restaurants that come to Oswego but I think this place has staying power. The food is not typical O-town and I think it’s one of the few places that uses fresh ingredients in this area. There are a number of dishes I love including Fish Stew, Pastel de Papas, Osso Bucco and formerly the Veal Milanese(A 25 oz. manly portion). The Caesar salad is solid as well. Although I like some dishes better than others I can honestly say there is not a dish I haven’t liked. It is fairly cozy, laid back and you can bring your own booze(Shout out to TJ). It is now a no brainer when I ask«Where would you like to go to dinner?»
