K-9 Grooming & Pet Motel

We took our Golden there a couple of weeks ago, they do not know how to groom a Golden. The owner said they tried something new called an up cut. I think she was just covering for a horrible job. My poor Golden’s coat was hacked away. It is all uneven, and her back skirt has been chopped off, her leg feathers are extremely short and uneven. She even has cuts were they went too deep on her legs. NEVER AGAIN

We decided last minute to travel out of town to visit my daughter at college, and the kennel where we normally board did not have any availabilities. Neither did any of the other kennels in our area, since it was spring break for public schools. My husband decided to call kennels that were along our travel route, and K-​9 grooming and Pet Motel happened to have a cancellation. I was a little leery since we weren’t able to view the place due to time and distance constraints, but it was absolutely perfect! Everything was super clean, and everyone was super friendly, especially Marie the owner. We opted to have our dog bathed before picking her up. She was sparkly clean, with a cute pink bandana, and smelled amazing! They even washed her blanket that we brought for her. I really wish K-​9 Grooming & Pet Motel was near our home, because we would choose them for all our boarding and grooming needs!

I signed up for Unilocal just so I could rave about this place.
I have a persian cat that hates to be completely shaved, but gets lots of mats that I can’t get out myself.
K-​9 grooming did an amazing job of removing the mats while still leaving my cat with a wonderful soft coat. She’s never gotten a better cut (I’m originally based in NYC).
They were incredibly nice and the cat was so calm and relaxed on pick-​up.
