Cakes Galore & More

The only place I order cakes from! Not only are they delicious, but they are also beautifully made. Also, the bakery is very clean and well maintained! You can tell they follow all of the health codes– unlike other places I’ve been to in this town.
And the baker, Bob Bateman, is the best. He’s very accommodating to all of my ideas and requests.

My friends and I purchased birthday cakes on separate occasions and we were always delighted with the outcomes. The staff is very friendly; they are more than willing to fulfill your cake dreams and wishes. We were carefully guided when choosing the type of cake and then the frosting… Our chosen marble cake and buttercream match turned out splendid.
Last but not least, we asked for a giraffe on the cake and it came out lovely and more importantly it covered a large part of the cake which delighted the birthday girl. The second time we asked for a «ski specific object» to be put on the cake with an element of purple. When we opened the box, there was a well drawn woman skier in a purple outfit! We were very pleased again.
I also tried other various pastries and I loved it all. You will be pleasantly surprised at how a little bakery like this can offer so much: D

Holy crap these are the best confectioneries you will ever have! I have yet to have one thing from here that I did not love! Cheap too! Just be prepared to have cash or spend at least $ 10 if you wanna use a card. Hours are a tad strange too. I highly recommend the thing that is most important though, and that’s the food.

My husband is a local and RAVED about the cakes here. We had a short tasting before our wedding. They took notes and felt competent in their abilities to provide what I was requesting. The designs were simple (a striped layer, a polka dot layer and a ruffled layer). I have to say I was pretty disappointed when I saw it. It was perfectly fine for a birthday party but not up to par appearance wise for a wedding– however causal our wedding might have been. It was also not made to the specifications I requested.
However…
I am not exaggerating when I tell you it was seriously the most amazing cake I have ever tasted. We had a mocha coffee layer, a chocolate chocolate layer and a coconut cream layer. All amazing. I will definately order from them again.
Taste alone = 5 stars.

So 4 it is.

Baker Bob is the man. He was behind the cakes for most of my childhood birthday parties as well as my high school graduation party — obviously, we’ve always been pleased with what he does. Besides cakes, Cakes Galore has a great selection of pastries and other baked goods (the cinnamon buns are where it’s at). Easily my favorite bakery in Oswego.

Delicious, cakes and pastries. Great personalized cakes and the like. They bend over backwards to make you happy. Bob the baker rocks!
