Food overall is very good. The reason for the review however is the Hot and Sour soup. Very similar recipe to PFChangs. I love it. At $ 4.25 a quart it keeps me warm on cold winter nights

it’s difficult to find good Chinese in northern Westchester. This place isn’t it. Move on.

This place has since changed there name and now are called XIN with new owners and new recipes. My family and i moved to ossining 4 years ago and lamented about the sad state of affairs when it came to Chinese food in ossining. Xin is what we where waiting for.

It’s a problem when the chef can’t tell you what’s in a dish. It’s an even bigger problem when there’s a picture on the wall of what’s in the dish and it comes out looking way different than the picture. Completely different vegetables than are in the picture. I was told it was the same dish. Go figure. Tasted ok.

I order from them twice a week! their food is really good. I have tried some of the other local places and find that lee garden is really the one that suits my taste. Their delivery is pretty quick and they always give me a lot of sauce!

Great takeout! Would never eat there– small and not made for that.

On the plus side, the food is fine and they do deliver. A few times when we’ve ordered for the whole crew(we have 4 kids) they’ve thrown in an extra soda gratis which is very nice. This is your garden variety Chinese food place, so don’t expect the earth to move. And there have been occasions when they’ve conscripted what appears to be their high school age daughter to work the counter, and it has been all too clear she’d rather be elsewhere. But hey, the food is fine, the prices are reasonable and they have a good diverse menu.

In the past 10 years it’s gotten progressively worse. Portions get smaller and smaller, skimping out on meat and increasing vegetables and rice(may be healthier, but who eats Chinese take out for health?). Still, the price is cheap for the strong flavors you get.

If you need some Chinese fast and tasty give this place a try. Dumplings and egg and scallion fried rice is my addiction.

My local Chinese joint. I’ve tried a few, and this is consistently acceptable Americanized Chinese takeout that will satisfy a craving of that nature.
