Pita and hummus was really good. The place need little bit of cleaning and update. Sandwiches were huge and had nice flavours

My wife and I moved into the area 3 years ago, and we immediately looked for a good gyro spot. We tried Olympia and fell in love the first time! Olympia’s gyros are OUTSTANDING! We have also tried it for breakfast, which is great as well! Olympia is our go-to spot for gyros. We won’t even try gyros anywhere else because if they’re not as good as Olympia’s, we feel we have wasted having gyros when we could have just gone to Olympia. My wife always orders her gyro with egg lemon soup, which she loves. Price is reasonable for the portions.

The food is outstanding. The service is good. I have *no* complaints. At all. The price per portion size is balanced in the eater’s favor, and nothing any of us had disappointed(the entrees come with a nice salad, with in house dressing!). Don’t miss the hummus sampler, moussaka, Greek coffee … you know what? Just come back over and over and keep trying everything. I know I will. And even if you aren’t into the Greek thing(which you really SHOULD be), there are plenty of other options that aren’t given second-hand treatment. Come here if you’re on the fence or curious, and a believer you will become.

Great food, fun atmosphere and fun people. Gyros are all good, egg lemon soup is so good. Paul’s chocolate chip cookies are amazing.

After having great gyro in Rochester MN and this having a high-yelp rating, we had to try it while in the Maple Grove area. This place did not disappoint at all. There was a decent amount of diners varying from couples to groups having brunch. The pluses: +Gyro for breakfast is the BIZ! It was nice to sopp it into my over-easy eggs. +PIta with taziki instead of toast/pancakes any day for sure. Can’t wait to come back and try the Greek Lemon soup and their Turkish coffee.

An interesting mix of small town diner, and Greek restaurant. Delicious combinations like gyro omelettes etc. Not fancy, but very yummy.

I love a good gyro, so I don’t know why I never thought to look for one in the Brooklyn Park area. Hubby actually suggested this one! It’s right in between our dive shop and one of our favorite liquor stores, but you wouldn’t find this place on accident unless you live in very close proximity(it’s not visible from the main road). I read some of the Unilocal reviews so was looking forward to our meal. The hostess, who I’m thinking may be one of the owners, greeted us and took us to a booth, brought our waters promptly. The menu is fun, I liked seeing different flavors of hummus. Besides gyros they also have wraps, and burgers. There’s a note on the menu that says you can have any burger put into a pita instead, definitely something I may try in the future. I went with the Omega gyro with a side of the curry hummus, hubby went with the Firecracker(jalapeño) gyro. The Omega was delicious! I found a slight problem with it however in that it is messy as hell. I was constantly trying to scoop the meat/veggies that had fallen out back in, sauce was going everywhere and apparently I was rubbing it on my face too. It was messy to the point that I didn’t want to put it down since there wasn’t a spot on my plate that wasn’t covered in sauce or fallen edibles. Great flavor but so hard to eat, I will likely go with just the regular gyro next time! Hubby was a bit disappointed with his gyro, said it wasn’t really spicy at all. The hummus was good, spot on curry flavor. Since I had just inhaled my giant ass gyro, I got this to go and enjoyed it as a snack the next day. The décor was nothing special but it’s about what you’d expect for a small restaurant in a town like Osseo. It was clean, that’s what’s important! Will definitely be back, there are quite a few things on the menu I want to try!

This was possibly the worst rendition of Greek food in Minnesota that I’ve ever come across. The food at a corner store in South or North Minneapolis is more authentically Mediterranean than this joint. Yikes! We ordered the«customer favorites» — chicken kebabs over rice«pilaf» and the gyro platter. How many ways can one say«LOL!» ? Both dishes were a joke! The chicken was hardly cooked as a kebab. Instead, what we were served was a dried out piece of chicken breast that had been grilled to smithereens on top of some Minute rice that was over cooked and mushy. I’m just getting started. The cheap wine! OMG!!! $ 5 a glass for some wine that costs $ 5 a bottle? Get outta here! And now on to the gyro platter. OK. I don’t know about you folks, but my idea of a gyro platter doesn’t include reheated mystery meat on top of a bed of microwaved, store-bought pita and tzatziki sauce made with sour cream. Oh! Don’t let me forget our«Greek salad» that was made with iceberg and some bland stuff that was passing for feta, slathered with Wishbone Italian salad dressing, and ONE, yes, ONE black olive on top. I suppose by now I’ve made my opinion known. I felt like asking for a refund, not only for the food I bought, but for the time I spent. Waste!

I tried this place yesterday based on where I was at lunch time and the ratings of this place. It has been voted best of 2 years running. I like Gyros and wanted to give it a shot and I was not disappointed at all. I had a creamy greek soup with my Omega Gyro which they have chicken and Gyro meat on it, they were both very good. You can taste the care put into the food. I am looking forward to returning to this establishment next time I am in the area for lunch! The service was good, friendly and the waitress knew the menu well and was quick to give me suggestions of what she likes and/or favorites for customers. Is it lunch time yet? I need another visit here…

Finally I live near delicious Greek food again! Olympia’s interior is… interesting, but the food is excellent, the staff is very friendly, the prices are pretty good and they’ve got a good sized menu. I’ve had their regular gyro and their Omega gyro, and both were really excellent — the gyro meat is tender and tasty, and the Omega version adds a ton of flavor without taking away from it being a gyro. There’s only a few people that work there so we’ve seen them multiple times, but each time they’ve been been great — fast service, good recommendations, and personable. That might change if it got busy, but so far it’s been pretty dead in there. Speaking of ‘in there’… the interior is really strange. The ceiling is surprisingly low, the floor is kind of spongy, there are an assortment of different lights in the light sockets, and in the middle of the room is a staging area partly concealed by wood lattice like you’d see in a garden. None of this stops the food from being great, so I’m still keeping it a 5.

Incredibly delicious. What a surprise gem to find while out shopping. We had the sampler platter and could not stop raving over every dish. The sampler platter comes with extra pita and gyro meat which is such a bargain at $ 14.95. Their hummus plate is huge and comes with tons of warm delicious pita. Did I mention everything was delicious? Our whole bill for two full bellies was $ 28 with beverages and we had leftovers. Wow. They also serve regular down home café breakfast, but we didn’t try it.

Olympia has an off menu creamy gyro soup. It changed me for the better. Ask for it. You will not regret it.

Probably one of the few gyro joints that is worth revisiting in the north metro. The lamb meat is consistently great. Always tender and flavorful never undercooked or crunchy overcooked. My one irk is the seating. Weekends can be very packed and while there may be open tables they are quite close together. But this small negative is easily overlooked. Firecracker gyro is my recommendation!

This was a great place to go to for lunch. They have so many different options for having a gyro. They have your traditional gyro but also have some gyros based on american classics … like the club gyro. Or a firecracker gyro if you want something spicy. They have gyro wontons. Almost gyro anything! I had just a traditional gyro for lunch. I got it with a side salad which is included in the price. The side salad was a pretty decent size. I got their homemade Omega dressing for the salad and it tasted great! After finishing the salad they brought my gyro out. The gyro was packed with meat. They brought it out with their tzatziki(cucumber) sauce. This also was homemade and was very good. The gyro as a whole was delicious and very filling. I definitely am looking forward to going back. They had so many options for gyros but also had some really tasty looking monster salads. They also let you choose soup as a side with your gyro which I want to try. So many things I want to try!!!

We ate there as we had a coupon from and were so pleasantly surprised. The food is good with delicate flavors and they have a wide variety of entrees, both traditional Greek and some that are very innovative. I liked that you could have half portions of two entrees when you just can’t decide. We made a return visit recently to introduce our granddaughter to Greek food and she had the Monte Cristo and loved it. The Greek salad is fresh and tasty. The wait staff is friendly and enthusiastic — very inviting. They are in the midst of remodeling, so things are not as attractive as they will be in the past, but it certainly hasn’t affected the quality of the food.

Finally got a chance to try the café! Live nearby and love Greek food one of the hubby’s requests to go eat for Friday night dinner with the kids. Staff is friendly and the menu has a great variety. I chose to go with the taste of Greece to get a couple of options to try and the hubby got the gyro with fries. Both were good I tried out the orange jalapeño hummus which was good, couldn’t really taste the spice though. Pita bread was fresh and warm and the gyro meat was delish! We decided to order some American dishes for the kids; chocolate chip pancakes(serves breakfast all day), onion rings, chicken nugget kids meal and a side of fries. The pancakes were devoured by the kids, felt the other items were all right, just seemed like frozen items they put on the menu to give it more items. Dessert was amazing! Tried the limoncello cake and you have to have baklava at a Greek restaurant! Both items were really good and it was hard to have to share both with the kiddos too! So happy there is a Greek place nearby we can frequent when the urge hits. Before the only spots I liked were downtown Minneapolis, which is great for lunch time for me but now with the hubby staying at home he doesn’t get to take advantage of the variety of options downtown
