History

Established in 2009.

I have had a camera in my hands since I was young. From my grandparents Brownie camera, to early 1980’s point and shoot camera, to the cameras with the disc of film (who remembers those?) up until high school when I put the camera down for a while.

I went to collage and received my BA in Computer Graphics and Animation during which I was introduced to Photoshop. I worked for a number of years before deciding to go back to school for my Masters Degree. David D Lang Photography was created shortly after I received my degree and here we are today.

I spend hundred of hours trying new things, learning about light, studying from other professionals around the world, and honing my craft.

About me:

— I have had a camera in my hand since I was a kid.

— I love the natural, in-awe, shocked reaction that people have when I capture them being themselves. That «is that really me?» reaction!

— My favorite things in the world are dogs, movies, photography, and live music.

— I am in another world when I have the opportunity to photograph a live concert. The first concert I can remember photographing was Faith Hill at the fair in Wausau way back in the day.

— I still have a photo I took that day!

— I have a Bachelor in Arts degree in computer graphics, a Master’s in Business Administration, and half of another Bachelor in Science degree in computer programming. What can I say? I love to push myself and learn new things!
