I have gone to this hardware store many times and usually find the items I want and get good advice. I try to go there instead of the big box store. However, today I was disappointed in their service and their rain check policy. I brought in an ad they had sent out that was still current but the item I wanted, a dog bed, was sold out. I asked for a rain check. I was told they would not give me one, and the ad said «limited to stock on hand», so they had no obligation to honor the ad price. Apparently all their ads state that. The clerk seemed rigid and unfriendly. I would maybe have just gone away if he had offered an apology for not having the item or a rain check, but he did not. I think it is false advertising to not give a rain check. I went to Tractor Supply and got a dog bed for the same price as Ace, so I still give them 3 stars since they probably did me a favor for not issuing a rain check.

Darn, I missed writing the first review by 1 day. Lately I am finding myself going there alot. It is the old fashion hardware store with better deals than the HUGE one down the street. I always dread going to Home Depot, so I am thrilled there is this choice to go here instead. I will for sure be going there for my hardware needs.
