I thought for a wing place they severely underwhelmed with their title entrée. The skins weren’t cooked and came out soggy with all the sauce they put on them. The wings themselves were decently sized, but what does that matter when they don’t know how to cook a wing the way most people expect you to. Never been back, sad to say, don’t ever plan on it either.

Wings are phenomneal, best ever. Wait staff is friendly and prompt. The loss of starts unfortunately goes to the weekend bartenders who so rudely skipped over me 5 times to serve their friends drinks. I left without buying a drink which sucks for them because I tip very well.

I guess I go for the thrill I get from the combination of vague intuitions of possible physical danger and lava sauce.

It’s iight. The wings at bear brew are much better. I think if you call yourself a winery you better have the best wings in town, and they do not. I’ve had some broken bones and dry wings in my batches. The night scene is pretty good. Weird trend I noticed though. I’m 6’3 and on Thursday nights I would say about half the dudes in there where my height or taller. Maybe a sports team or something, just thought it was unique.

The Roost just opened in late January ’10 but is off to a strong start. Wingery, that’s right«wingery» because the specialize in wings. There are several flavors/heat levels of wings and all are from meaty birds. Tried the«Lava» which was suppose to be a medium hot and it was more medium. Next time I’ll be braver and go for«nuclear». Had a black & blue(Cajun blackened with blue cheese) burger that came with onion rings last night and it was excellent. My wife had a squash/apple soup that was great too. The menu is small but they have specials every day. Check for the latest on their Facebook fan page. The peanut butter pie is great for dessert. but a friend had a chocolate raspberry mousse that was wicked yummy too. There are several sitting areas including a bar, a lounge area with pool table and a restaurant area so this would be suitable for all ages. Free wifi is a big plus.
