GNC is the world’s largest chain of specialty vitamin, mineral, herbal, and sports nutritional supplement retailers. Our first store was opened in 1935 in Pittburgh by David Shakarian. Originally called «Lackzoom,» the GNC (General Nutrition Center) name was born in 1960. We started selling our own ranges of vitamins and mineral supplements later that decade. GNC only uses the best ingredients and employs rigorous quality assurance testing and manufacturing standards. We subject our products to up to 150 quality checks before they arrive on our store shelves and all our ingredients are issued with a Certificate of Analysis.

This store has a wide selection of supplaments and vitamins. The manager James is very knowledgeable about the store products and gives you great advice on what you buy and how to take them. He always makes sure you are satisfied with the information before you commit to the purchase.

This store is a franchise and therefore locally owned. Unlike corporate stores where you can only use your Gold Card the first week of the month, they let you use it everyday. The staff actually knows about the products they are selling and I have yet to see any staff turn over since it opened two years ago.
The owner is often behind the counter and he has a great disposition and as with all of his staff aims to please. We moved to Marana a year ago from OV and still drive to this store because the service is so great.
