This locally owned business has character and charm in spades. The shop space and it’s owner have an unapologetic style that can take you off the deep ‘trend’ or wrap you in elegance. Victoria and her friendly staff were so patient in the consultation and ordering process, and the little touches and attention to detail were worth a stellar Unilocal review. From the macabre and phantasmal to classically minimalist I wouldn’t trust my art and memories with anyone else!

I purchased a print at an estate sale by Michael Parks a famous magical realist. This art form was an excursion from my usual traditional tastes and I had no idea how to frame or display my treasure. The fact that the piece was not in pristeen condition further complicated matters. I was drawing a total blank. I even checked art gallery sites for ideas. The central subject matter of the print was a liitle girl blowing bubbles off of the side of a gothic building. A gargoyle is breaking loose from his granite foundation to chase the bubbles as other gargoyles look on. There is obviously more in the picture but it gives you an idea of what I struggling with trying to find an appropriate frame. I took it to Frame of Mind, Markus took one look at it and said he had a great idea for it. All I knew is that I was out of ideas and totally frustrated so I just told him to do it. I did’t even want to hear the idea ahead of time. Markus and Tora have done some creative framing for me before but I have never been as pleased with their work as I was with this frame. The applied patina of the frame they created lends vibrancy and life to the muted colors in my print and the actual design of the frame resembles the architectural design consistent with the time period in the print. My piece is aproximately three and half by two and half feet and it looks more like a window in time than a frame. It really has a magical effect on people… but the real magic came from the Frame of Mind Wizards.

I took 2 pieces in to have the glass replaced. One an original watercolor, the other a limited edition lithograph. Took them in on Sat, Marcus had them ready today ((Tues). Great friendly service with great prices. He took great care with both pieces. I will most certainly use him again.

Took a painting that I had done for my anniversary on Thursday with a dinner on Monday where I wanted give this gift to my wife. Having numerous things framed at other places, I knew this was a really long shot at best as most times it takes weeks.
Not here! Marcus was not flustered in the least. He started pulling out materials he had in stock and helped me select the perfect frame for the picture. Not only was Monday not a problem, he had it done THAT AFTERNOON and — get this — with a 15% discount. WOW!
The work was flawless and the price was more that fair. I highly recommend this shop and it’s owner Marcus. I just wish there were more stars to give!

I had a nice Wilcox 30’s Florida jungle scene framed there last month. The experience was far above the usual framing store experience I have. The owner was able to steer me very quickly to the best possible moulding and a silk matt. He is very knowledgable about color and design, a huge asset to the customers. I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else in that area.
