Had lunch today and it was good. Service was fair. Had to ask for refills and extra plate for salad bar. Perhaps I’m spoiled but seems most servers work hard to do things without being asked or reminded. Had the salad bar with my meal and the selection was ample and food was fresh and cold. Resturant was clean. We’ve eaten at Sonnys BBQ and they are very similar except for the BBQ sauces. Not that Dustins was bad but will visit Sonnys next time as not blown away at Dustins.

Driving by, ready for lunch, I see this place, and I notice 3 city police cars, s good sign as the cops usually eat at good places or where they get a discount . My first visit to a Dustin’s BBQ. Looks like a sonny’s in design. I order salad and soup with a side of beef brisket . Salad bar rather small but very good . Soup, I had a chicken rice, fairly good but not hot enough. The brisket was 5 strips of beef, chewing gum thin, about 1.5 inch wide by 8 inches long. Very uniform looking. It was rather dry and didn’t taste fresh. Not bad, tasted like something from the publix deli then heated up. My waitress was fair, I asked for lemon for my tea twice, I gave up and asked another waitress. I also had to get my own 2nd plate for another salad . Not bad, but since Four Rivers opened, I now have had great BBQ . Dustin’s is… ok, third in my rating behind Sonny’s.

Pulled pork was awesome! The platter gets you two side and a good amount of meat for just under $ 11, definitely worth it. The mac & Cheese is bland so I don’t recommend it. Our server was very friendly and overall it was a great BBQ place

Never disappoints great bbq imo. Great family atmosphere with a great and attentive staff. Decent selection of draft beer. I know people are elitist when it comes to all genres of food but especially bbq. All the dishes I’ve tried have been great. You have the choice of slathering 5 distinctly different but equally tasty sauces. The meat(pork or chicken) is always tender and moist so elitist can bring their own super secret award winning sauce and still have an enjoyable meal. Dustin’s isn’t the best bbq I’ve ever had but I always leave full and completely satisfied.

Great place for lunch when heading to LOWES. I usually get the sliced turkey lunch or the steak with the sweet potato and beans. Both have always been good. The salad bar is nice but would like more items to chose from. The staff has always been pleasant to us. My wife usually gets the BBQ chicken half with sweet potato and beans. Never had a bad experience.

Dustin’s is a regular stop for me when I visit my Nana in Ormond Beach(even more now that she is dead, but I’m sure you’d expect that). Dustin’s has lots of kinds of barbecue even if they don’t have any especially good kind of barbecue. It’s the kind of place you can go and get a bunch of bags of food to take back to a house full of petty bickering family members and maybe they’ll shut up for a while and eat. Maybe.

In reading the previous reviews, man these people must be the«hate everything» types. Have been eating at Dustins BBQ since we moved from California to Florida in 2006 and always a great visit. Salad Bar is great for a BBQ place and the smoked BBQ meats and sauces are wonderful. Have had Dustins BBQ cater numerous family functions and all my LARGE family just rave about their food. Their bbq beans beat out Sony’s any day and love the coleslaw as it is not a mayonnaise mess like other joints. The dieters plates, where you can have salad bar and a choice of meats is a favorite as well, when we are not wanting a huge meal. The staff are always friendly, efficient and top notch.

Tonight was supposed to be wing night but the original destination was packed. Passed Dustin’s on the way back to I-95 and decided to pull in. Once seated I pulled Dustin’s up on Unilocal and seeing that the reviews were all over the road I was prepared for a so-so meal. The salad bar looked wonderful, but that was too healthy so I resorted to the menu. My dining partner went with the pulled pork plate, fried okra and a baked potato. I saw that they offered wings so I asked the waitress if they were any good and she said«Yes, and that before she worked here she wasn’t much of a wing fan, but now she’s hooked». OK, towing the company line, I asked her about the wing sauces and she said it was their BBQ sauces. I bit and order a plate, mild, fully expecting cooked wings covered/coated in BBQ sauce. Well I was wrong, the sauce was cooked into the wings and they were delicious! Our waitress, Jessica was great, from plenty of wet-naps to keeping our glasses full she nailed it.

This is my first time here and i know i will be back. supper friendly wait staff. The brisket and sweet potato were great .Good size portion for the price. The food handlers were wearing gloves and seemed to worker as a team. Next time i will bring the family to them to the true test.

Not sure about anything else on the menu but the brisket is out of this world. The service was great. It wasn’t very busy but all the waitresses came to our table to make sure everything was still good. You can get the lunch menu items anytime but the menu says from 12 – 4.

BBQ sauce has too much vinegar, that’s all you taste. Their mustard sauce is ok at best. Service was slow even though it was a very light crowd. Okra taste like it was from the winn dixie freezer section. The BBQ baked beans were the only good part of the meal. I can’t believe I left a $ 5 tip, much more than the place deserved.

I only give this 2 stars because the food was good. Came here for lunch today with a friend and my two kids. Our Server was Kimberly and she was hardly seen. She took our order, never refilled our drinks. My daughter wanted Ranch, I asked for Ranch it took 20 mins to get. She brought the table next to their food and ranch but seem to forgot ours. I had to ask again. Then when I got my bill, I saw they charge me a 1.00 for Ranch. She never told me that they charged for Ranch. What establishment where you are spending about $ 30 dollars or more for lunch/dinner do they charge you for a condiment. Ridiculous. It would have been nice if she told me ahead time they charge for this. I told her to take it off and I spoke to the manager who said they charge for ranch because it doesn’t come with all meals. Whatever skip this Dustin’s. I go to the one in Port Orange all the time and they are nice, attentive, and overall WAY Better. And guess what? They don’t charge me for some Ranch.

I would never come back here. My husband has a big appetite and only got 4 ribs on his plate.(Sonny’s has all you can eat). I had the endless salad bar which was tasteless. The bread pudding was so dense it was like a brick.

It’s been a while since I visited d Dustin’s, but on my way by for Veterans Day I noticed«Vets eat free» on the street side sign. Thinking of changing my mind on my original choice of Appxxxxxx I turned into the lot and to my surprise handicap parking was ample and an empty spot was available… Mind you this was just 1 pm. Wife and I seated and server was quick to our table, we made our selections and with salad bar included to our meals… Suddenly our table filled with food items. We ate our fill with to-go plates in play we had enough for another meal. I wish to THANKALL at Dustin’s for a GREAT meal an thoughtful staff. Just another VET

As good as it gets! My fiancé and I came here for lunch and enjoyed pulled pork, fries, and a salad bar. The pork was moist and I smothered mine in their mustard BBQ sauce. The salad bar had lots of goodies including potato salad, pea salad, Cole slaw, and breads. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us sparingly… no hovering and no neglecting. BONUS: Because of this trip, we decided to choose Dustins as our wedding caterer!

Hmm… Where to start. Lets see… Service. Our waitress Liz, was unattentive and was too busy chatting with other waitresses in the dining area about her personal life and the personal life of other Dustin’s employees. It took her about ten minutes to bring a to-go box and to-go cups to our table. When I finally got tired of waiting, I threw the rest of my turkey in a napkin and headed to the register. She met me on my way there with the box and the cups. Thanks(rolls eyes). The food — the entrees are overpriced and I noticed that a price hike has occured since our last dining experience. Certain side items(mac & chz, fried okra, and a few others have an add-on premium of .70 $). The mac and chz is what you’d typically find in a cafeteria serving line at your local hospital; it was bland and tasteless. A few nagging thoughts — the sauces have been removed from the table and are brought to you upon request. Well, when another table asked for a certain sauce, Liz, came to our table, snagged them and brought them to the other diner. So, instead of her going to the server’s station, she just took them right off the table, even though the hubs and I were not done eating our meal. Will we go back? Probably not.

Typical Daytona barbecue cookie cutter building and atmosphere, which os not necessarily the worst thing. Friendly service and quick too.

To my mind Dustin’s has small portions, untrimmed fatty cuts of meat, offers little if any bang for the buck and has a rather limited menu. Worse feature is that instead of a good barbecue taste, most items to me seemed overly greasy with a truck stop flavor.

Pulling off I-95 South from up North, it took only a few minutes to reach the restaurant. It’s clean and bright inside, service was quick. I had the salad bar and ordered the extra chicken which was good on top of my salad. The salad bar was ok, it was fresh but if you want soup then they charge you an extra $ 1.59 which almost every salad bar I ate at they had free soup. So if you are tired, headed North or South do stop in and the burger’s are good too.
