If the Shoe Fits

Guys, I love this place. I need to take photos next time I pop in because they’ve seriously upgraded the merch! AG Jeans, Frye shoes, all cute, on-​trend and reasonably priced. The location is great and the fact that they’ve added clothing (very stylish clothing) to the floor rather than just shoes and accessories make this place a destination, for sure. I also found the staff to be really helpful, too — they were nearing closing time but in no way pressured my mother and me to rush when we were trying to decide over our purchases. They were just sweet, kind and patient.
As far as shopping in Orleans goes, it’s not the best for a stroll-​and-​shop, but this store is definitely worth seeking out.

I went into ISF today for the first time, not planing to really purchase anything, and came out with 2 dresses, 2 scarves & a pair of flip-​flops. I could have left with a dozen more items if money were no object. The store immediately reminded me of all the things I love about european boutiques… the gorgeous leather shoes, amazing scarf selection & clothing that is unique to much of what’s popular in the US. It’s also very different from your average Cape boutique which I tend to find a little stuffy and mature for my taste (I’m 35). The only downside for me is that it is pricey but I’m not complaining because the clothing is beautiful and of high quality. it just means I can’t purchase everything I like. I’ll definitely be back.

Updated review on If the Shoe Fits: Good News! In my last review, my principal grievance was not about the merchandise which continues to rank among the most stylish on all of the Cape. And since they’ve expanded, there is even more of it!
My negative feedback was exclusively around the attitude of the owner, and — to a lesser degree — her Assistant manager, neither of whom ever made me feel welcome in the store (for reasons I could never understand).
While I have not dealt with the owner since my last post, I have subsequently had very positive experiences with the Assistant Manager, who was extremely pleasant and helpful in selecting exactly what I was seeking.
I have boosted their rating accordingly, and send kudos to this woman. Well done!

I’ve been in here a bunch of times because it’s really the only place around with unique shoes that you definitely don’t see in your mama’s closet. I love the shoes, I hate the women who «work» in the store. Oh and when I say «work», I mean fiddle on thier IPhone/​BB and ignore your existence. Hello, you’re 60 years old, who the hell could you possibly be texting right now? Moreover, do you even know how to work a phone?! They don’t even bother to come out from behind the register and pretend they want to help you. I always get the feeling that if you don’t look the part of a big spender, you don’t amount to beans. Well FYI, don’t be fooled by my faded Dansko clogs, I love to spend me some money… especially on shoes. In fact, I almost always purchase something from here. So the service is terrible and the prices are high… my visits are becoming few and far between.
