My favorite Cuban ever !! The empanadas are the best I’ve ever had and the iced café con leches give me so much energy. The staff is also great

My stomach doesn’t digest Zaza so much as it makes out with it like a teenager in the back of a car. As the first few bites drop in, I can just imagine the lights dimming and the music coming on. Boom-chicka-bow-wow.

This place is so close to my house, I wish their food would stack up to the other great Cuban joints in Orlando, but it merely satisfies a craving on occasion. In most other cities, this place would probably be awesome, but living in a city with some of the best Latin food around, they just don’t produce the same delicious quality. I ordered a Cuban sandwich from here with a side of black beans. The meat was placed side by side instead of layered, so with every bite, I was either eating a ham sandwich or a pork sandwich, but not a Cuban. I was also not impressed with the bread – it didn’t have the buttery crispy goodness that I am used to on Cuban sandwich. The beans were flavored well. Last time I went, I ordered a platter with chicken, and I don’t recall being especially impressed with that either. All in all, a decent enough place to fix that Cuban craving, but not my top choice for a Latin fix.

We love the guava pastries and Tuesday specials are great. Almost 2 for 1. The atmosphere is laid back and the Cuban food and coffee have a great flare of old time Cuban tradition. Highly recommended.

Great fast Cuban food for a good price! Some of the best I have found in orlando! The only downside I have found with them is that they got me hooked on their yellow rice and pinto beans and then took away their yellow rice! But everything else here is still great I have tried almost half the menu and everything is great– from the salads to media noche(which is the best you’ll have outside of miami) but whatever you get add rice and pinto beans – Omg. You’re welcome!

Great, fast Cuban food at a good price. My favorite is the mojo chicken; so much flavor! The quesitos are ahhhhmazing. The place is small so I always get my order to go. I like to call ahead when I place to go orders at restaurants so that I don’t have to wait once I get there. The only problem with calling ahead at Zaza is I always have to wait… and wait… and wait for someone to answer the phone and take my order. Sometimes having to call several times. That’s no bueno and why I just can’t give it more stars. It’s also why, on occasion, I’ve given up and gone to another Cuban place a few minutes down the street. However, if you’re able to dine in or willing to wait for a to go order, it’s worth it.

The food here is delicious. The restaurant isn’t so wonderful. When I married into a Cuban family, the only Cuban food item I knew was a Cuban Sandwich. I now know a lot. My wife loves this place and I’ve found many delicious options as a gringo who grew up in a part of the country where Hispanic food meant Chi-Chi’s or Taco Bell. It’s easy to recommend this as an amazing to-go option. Staying in house, probably not as much. It’s small, old, and reads like a dive. Not in the cool, fun way.

Soooooo gooood! We tried zaza tonight with friends who were visiting from out of town and they described this place as a little gem. We all got four different dinner plates and they were delicious. I can’t wait to go back on a Tuesday when they have special pricing !!

Wow this was very good food. I got the vaca frita and I’m pretty sure I have found my new place for Cuban food! Tuesday is two for 12 which you can’t beat that price. Will be coming back for sure. I wish I had a picture but the other pictures on here are very accurate.

Food is amazing, the pork is so garlicy and lime. Everything flows right with this place. I wish there were more places like this. The service is good its more order and they bring to your table. I wish it was actual service but if thats the worst thing I think I can manage it. Try the quesitos, if not when you eat today get it for tomorrow with your coffee. I would highly recommend them.

Ok, so I finally decided to try this place the other day adjacent to my neighborhood. Nearby, there are lots of Latin diners one could choose, here’s my take: So inside, cute, looks to me like a weathered Havana café if I’d ever visit one. A little disarmed walking in, quickly figured out you order at counter and its then brought to table. I inadvertently walked to wrong side of the counter(its all of like 5 ft.) And one of the girls rudely told me «order over there» Not a good first impression being that there was maybe 7 people in entire café. I kept it simple, Cuban Sammy with side of black beans. Grabbed my fountain drink and maybe 10 minutes later was served. O.k., so sandwich, good– not great, there are a few local places that have impressed me more, I’d give it a 3. The portion was good, I took part of it home. The black beans, not impressed. I usually use the beans as a litmus test for a good authentic Latin café. They were very gravy(a tad overcooked) and not very flavorful. I wasn’t sold sides or greeted very friendly. The Sammy I’d try again and other sides. I will say I like their branding, cool flashes promoting their food on a t.v. screen as I ate and cute packaging. In a neighborhood anchored with Latin places everywhere I wasn’t impressed. I will, however, try this place again and hopefully re-rate!

Went here tonight for a good cheap dinner. I ordered the picadillo and my SO ordered the ropa vieja. There is a great deal on tuesdays where you get 2 plates for $ 12 and its well worth it. For sides I got maduros, garlic brown rice and black beans. SO got cuban toast, pinto beans and white rice. The beans did not have much flavor, either of them. The picadillo was good, but Ihave had many with more flavor and depth than this one. The garlic brown rice was good. The maduros were good as was the cuban toast but not really anything to write home about. We also ordered one of each emapanda; chicken, beef, and ham and cheese. The emanadas were delicious and the dipping sauce that comes with it was the best part of the meal. Overall the meal was fine, I would recommend coming on Tuesday for the deal, it makes the slightly less flavorful food and smaller portions worth it. The empanadas are bomb though. I am still looking for a good cuban place in Orlando though. I will be back here for the Tuesday Special.

I love this place. Lived in orlando for 6yrs and this place has the best quesitos and ropa vieja I’ve had the whole time living here. A hidden Cuban gem of Orlando for sure. A little pricey, but not terribly expensive… especially with all the food they give you. Tuesday’s are BOGO entrees… time restrictions apply, not sure what they are though :) this place is definitely on my list of must-eats EVERY time I’m in town! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Best Cuban food in town!!! This is my go to Cuban restaurant, better than black bean by far, everything is so fresh. The croquettes are made to order and served with a delicious house aoli. The breakfast combos come with a free coffee(espresso shot or café con leche) before 11am. They serve breakfast all day, I love the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on Cuban bread. The dinner/lunch platos are delicious, fresh, and a great deal, servings are huge. The Cuban sandwich is great too, I highly recommend this place!

mmmmmm Zaza! Sometimes I wake up in the morning and that’s the first thing on my mind. They have the best coladas to be found in Orlando. Period. Even the regular coffee hits the mark. For breakfast I recommend the Oatmeal al Caribe. It’s for those of us who prefer not to eat a heavy breakfast. You will be sooo satisfied! Make sure to come early because they sometimes sell out a little before noon. Speaking of that. Weekends here are packed. On a busy weekend morning, I’d give Zaza a good 8⁄10 on the anxiety scale. Nowhere to stand or sit down and people brushing against you. I recommend getting here either super early on the weekend or dip in during the week. I try to bring my own to-go box because it’s nearly impossible to finish an entire egg sandwich and you sure don’t want to just throw it out! The quesitos, guava con queso and guava pastries are OUTOFTHISWORLD! You must order them. Not in the mood? — you will be later and you *will* thank me! Lunch/dinner platters are out of this world. I only had the opportunity to try Pan Con Bistec once. Still craving it. They have a deal posted on the wall for Tuesdays buy one get one free platter. Its not advertised online so don’t quote me on that. As far as the authenticity… I have it on good authority this is the closest to real Cuban food you can find north of Miami. Of course most of the workers at this location are American or Puerto Rican, they still play traditional Cuban music most of the time and the food/drink taste is nearly spot on to what they have on a very lucky day in Cuba. Oh. The bathroom is tiny and uncomfortable. Let’s up that anxiety scale to 9⁄10. Update: Zaza has an APP for easy ordering to go! Can’t wait to use it!

Went here to try the Cuban sandwich, which was good, but I’ll be getting the lechon my wife got from now on — it was so good. Really liked the variety of side dishes. Price is good as well.

Their food is so sooo good. It’s the closest thing to authentic Cuban in Orlando. In fact, every time we get catered food for my job or lunch-ins, which happen about 2 – 3 times a month, my first request was Zaza. But their service is always TERRIBLE! I definitely won’t be eating there again

I was so excited to try this place and heard amazing things about it. I ordered what I get at any Cuban restaurant for breakfast: guava and cheese pastry, croquettes, and a café con leche. The pastry was really dry and a little stale. The café con leche was not sweet at all and hide a strange aftertaste to it. croquettes were pretty good though. I really hope this was just an off day for them and would love to come back and try something else because everyone else seems to have had really great experiences here but mine was just really poor.

Yeah so if you haven’t heard… Zaza is pretty damn good. I got a Cuban sandwich with fries. The pork in the sand which peels apart like butter. The cheese is yummy and is melted well to being the whole thing together. Their French fries are also super good, crispy and golden. I got a café con leche as well, they ask if you want sugar,)which I gladly obliged). Next time I’ll prolly ask for half the sugar as it was super sweet. I also got this desert pastry with cream cheese inside. These things were to die for. Idk the name but I’ll post a picture.

They don’t press their Cuban Sandwiches, it’s just toasted and the bread crumbles as you eat it. It’s not a traditional Cuban Sandwich. The two employees I came in contact with were very nice!

We wanted a Cuban breakfast and decided to try out Zaza’s. The café con Leche was creamy, strong and quite delicious. The breakfast sandwich is huge. The eggs with palomilla steak with potatoes was good. The quesitos were very good. We would go back if we were in the area.

I truly used to love Zaza’s until the last few times I’ve come here for dinner. The food quality is still good, flavorful but I’ve noticed a few things over the last few visits that won’t stop me from coming but I’ve started frequenting ‘other’ Cuban cuisine restaurants. I usually order the Ropa Vieja(stewed beef) which comes with white/yellow/brown rice and black/red beans. I usually opt for the Maduros(sweet plantains) to go with this meal but you can get Tostones if you prefer. So, they used to server this wonderful buttered cuban bread which you could use to sop up your stew sauce. At some point, this was discontinued about a year ago and now you have to forgo one of your sides or order it separately. Second, the portion size decreased. Now this may only be for the to-go platters which I more often do instead of eating in at night because at the end of the day, I just want to go home after work and catch up on DVR. :-) For breakfast, I still give it an A+. Their café con leche is the perfect balance of strong, sweet and creamy. Their breakfast sandwich on cuban toast with egg, cheese and turkey sausage is huge! I usually eat half for breakfast and take the rest for an afternoon snack. Their quesitos(cheese filled pastries) are always amazing and guava pastries have a good amount of guava filling. Service is always good — met with a smile, friendly and even take the time to thank you by name. No complaints from that perspective. I just think there are few things that would make it 4 – 5 stars if it went back to the ‘old ways’. I don’t mind paying a little more because I understand businesses want to make money but don’t take away things or decrease portion size to make up for it.

I’ve never tried a Cuban sandwich before, since I don’t eat pork. Anyhow, I tried the roast beef sandwich and it was good but not great for me. The beef was a little too dry and it was hard to bite into. But I still enjoyed it somewhat. The ground beef empanadas were made out of flour instead of cornmeal and those were really good. The American cashier /waitress was very friendly and accommodating, she made my experience pleasant. Overall, I would not drive all the way over for that place again but if I was in the neighborhood I might pass by again. So good but not great is what I’m saying.

This was my first time to ZaZa but WOW!!! I stopped in looking for breakfast and am so glad I did. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was huge! It came on delicious fresh Cuban bread. My girlfriend ordered the build your own omelette and she loved it also. But the red roasted potatoes stole the show. So good! Last and certainly not least was the Café con leche! Possibly the best coffee I’ve ever had. I will certainly be back soon and highly recommend you do also.

I’m from Miami so I love good Cuban food. Living in Orlando, it’s been hard to find a good Cuban restaurant. So I was really excited to try zaza. My favorite dish to order is picadillo. So that’s exactly what i ordered. You get a choice of 3 sides so I got the veggies, black beans, and maduros. My husband ordered pork. I have to admit my husband and I did go to the restaurant at 8:30 and they close at 9. Sadly the picadillo was salty and overcooked. Obviously I got the food thats been sitting at the bottom of the pot for hours. The black beans and maduros were good but nothing out of this world. I did like the veggies. My husband’s pork tasted pretty good. I’m still trying to decide if I want to give this place another chance. The pastries looked good and maybe next time I’ll try a sandwich or ropa vieja.

I came here from a recommendation and I am glad I did! I love Cuban food, and this place is great for it. It’s counter service where you order at the counter, they provide you with a number to go to your table and the staff brings the food to you. The person who took our order was pleasant and she ended up being the person who brought us the food as well. I got the platter with the roasted pork with three sides… congri(sp? its rice mixed with beans), cuban bread, and roasted potatoes. Yum yum– the portions are big, but I ate it all because it was delish and I was hungry. Reasonably priced. Delicious food. I will go here again if I get a chance!

Mmmmm! Best quesitos of my life. And I grew up in Miami! Though this place may not be a looker from afar, it’s the real deal! I ordered the ropa vieja platter with plantains, white rice, and black beans. It was delicious and fast! I will say that the guy that was coming around delivering everyone’s meal(you order at the counter) got confused and gave a few folks around me the wrong plate and forgot our maduros, but he brought them as soon as we reminded him, so no harm! I like the maduros a little burnt and these weren’t but they were super fresh and the flavor was there. I also got a side salad and loved the stuffed olives they have on the simple side salad– nice touch! Oh, have I mentioned the bread?! Cuban bread lightly toasted with wonderful, salty butter. Heaven. Why do I love carbs so much?!? The real treat was the dessert though! Holy Moly that was a spectacular quesito. They let the sugar caramelize into a sticky brown heavenly substance! I love some other local Cuban spots, but NOONE does it quite like this. Great spot and I can’t wait to go back during lunch for a medianoche!

Yessss! I love that I came here and gave this place a try!!! I would have never heard about this place if it weren’t for Bite30, but I actually ordered off the Menu and honestly ordering two platters + 2 pastries the price would still come out like ordering off the pre-fix menu for $ 10, except no dranky drank. But I didn’t mind at all. The aroma once you walk into the building made me super excited to eat here. The prices here are so inexpensive and you get so much for your money’s worth. Where else can you find Vaca Frita or anything else off the money that includes 3 sides(type of rice, beans, and plantains) that you pick PLUS cuban bread for $ 9? Hello! Awesome deal right there! I ordered the Palomilla Steak and Vaca Frita for my boyfriend. Both were soo good! Seasoned perfectly, the Vaca Frita was so tender, and I’m a fan of sauteed onions and both was topped with it. Oh man. mouth is drooling right now trying to describe it. The black beans, both the congri & yellow rice, and tostones that gets served with the Mojo sauce to dip were all exceptionally good! Definitely give this place a try, really really good!
