I got a Groupon for Orange Avenue Dentistry because I am new to the area and want to find a dentist I am comfortable with and can trust. The staff at Orange Avenue Dentistry was very friendly and welcoming. However, things slowly went downhill after the initial paperwork.
The office is very open and there is no privacy between dental stations. We started with x-​rays, which neither the dental hygienist nor Dr. Youssef reviewed with me.
We all know getting your teeth cleaned is never fun. Although I have been going to the dentist forever, it is still nice to have the hygienist tell you the steps she is taking and what she is doing. This office sped through the cleaning process and failed to mention any of the treatments, besides the x-​rays.
The hygienist was friendly, however it was the most painful cleaning I have had. She scraped my teeth and gums to the point that I thought she could have been affecting the enamel.
When it came to the polishing it was a very lackluster job as she did not focus on each individual tooth, rather went over them all worse than a child would brush their teeth. I had to ask her to polish a couple teeth individually, as she had missed them and I could still feel plaque.
The fluoride treatment was maybe 10 seconds and included her putting a pink substance on a q-​tip, briefly applying it to my teeth and having me use the suction device to get it out.
Dr. Nabil seemed like a friendly gentleman, however failed to even introduce himself when coming into my station. He briefly scanned my teeth, said there was nothing wrong and that was it. Even though it was good news that nothing was wrong, it would have been nice to at least go over the x-​rays.
