World Wide Corals

I heard about this place from a friend who knew one of the owners. The first time I walked in I found the place nice and inviting. I found a couple people in the back room helpful. I made a couple small purchases and was happy with them. I began to get involved with their sales and this is when things started to go downhill. The June sales event was very popular, so a lot of people where there. After picking my items, I went to pay and stood in a line 6 people deep. The lobby is small so we were wrapped into the side display room. They had two registers going and as I got close, one of the owners walked away from the register to go to the BBQ outside. There was still about 8 people in line, so I thought this was odd. The one sales person continued to work and after about 10 minutes, the owner came back in eating chips. He walked back to the register and gestured for me to step up. He did not ask to help me, did not apologize for the wait or ask if I had everything I needed. He just started typing on the register for the total. I thought this was pretty poor customer service. Anyway, I paid and walked outside to enjoy the BBQ. While out there, I realized the owner double charged me for a couple items, so I went back in. I approached the owner and mentioned this, he looked and handed me off to the other sales person there so he could help me. I found it odd that he made the mistake, but someone else needed to fix it. I did not get an apology for the mistake.
I still gave them another chance and participated in their 24-​hour online private sale. After the end of the sale, they put their unsold items on the public web-​page for anyone to purchase. I had purchased a few items during the private sale and bought 5 more items during the public sale items. I paid for all my items immediately. Several days later, I went down to the shop to pick up my items and was told by one of the owners that I «bought too many items which is against the rules». He was referring to the private sale rules, so I informed him that I purchase the extra items after the private sale and the special conditions ended. He did not accept my response, so he called the CEO, who again denied to honor some of the purchased items. I asked to speak to him, but the CEO did not want to talk to me. I was not happy, but the «President» i was talking to, was not going to do anything about it. I asked that nothing be done with the still outstanding items not supplied and for teh CEO to email or call me. The President told me he would pass along the message and was told nothing would be done with the outstanding PO’s. After a week of not getting a response, I wrote them a letter. They responded by saying they did not have to honor the sale because they made an error in listing the items. I did not agree since they listed the items for the same price as done during the private sale. I sent them another letter, which they did not respond to. I filed a complaint with the local BBB, which WWC ignored to respond to. I filed a complaint with the state consumer affairs, during which their attorney said they would not honor the sale and did not have to and if I had an issue with that, I needed to file a claim in court… typical attorney. They stopped responding to the state consumer affairs department. Besides being expensive, they do not care about the customer. Do not purchase anything from these people. There are plenty of other places who have a great staff. See «Sea in the City» or «Living Reef» if you’re in the orlando area.

My husband and I have been to World Wide Corals several times the last couple of years since we started our salt water tanks. The staff have always been very friendly and assisted us with purchases. We have bought many coral frags, large and small, and even bought some fishes from here. As with other local fish stores, we found the pricing to be on par, sometimes certain corals are higher here and lower there and vice versa. I guess it’s just depending on the shipment they have come in, supply/​demand, that kind of stuff.
While Jacksonville have several go-​to places for us, we still like to shop at World Wide Corals when were go to Orlando, simply for variety. We also enjoy looking at their display tanks at the front and really appreciate the beautiful corals and fishes in those gigantic tanks.

I never do this either but I feel very strongly that this store is very under rated, due to the fact that they only have one review and it is not very good. The store itself is absolutely amazing, always very clean and all tanks are in pristine condition. They carry a wide variety of both fish and corals and always have the best products for saltwater aquariums. Josh, Dre and the guys at the shop are always more than willing to help anybody coming in and share insights of how they keep their fish and tanks in such great condition. I give the store a 4 out of 5 because the prices are not all that great but you the store has such a a wide variety you find something on everyone’s price range and skill level

World Wide Corals is in deed your one stop shop for all your aquarium desires! Their display tanks were what got my wife to force me to overhaul my tank. Victor, Lou and the entire staff helped at every step in turning my tank from an eyesore to a living masterpiece! The staffs knowledge and there vast selections of corals and fish made this project a pleasurable experience. I have recommend WWC to many of my friends that have fallen in love with my aquarium and will continue to do so. Many thanks to Victor, Lou, Ace, Dre and the countless other employees of WWC who have helped me over the past year! Keep up the great work and service!

Not anything to knock you off of your feet. Customer service was bad as well.
