Great ambiance. Nice décor. Versatile drink list. Nice place to start or end an eve. Service was excellent. Kinda hidden in aloft, but worth a visit if your walking around Thorton Park area.

Had a couple drinks and some food here 3 times during our stay. The lounge is very big and comfy. The pool table is a lot of fun too. All the bartenders we had were great. The seating /ambience was great outside as well, even in January.

Very cool vibe, super stylish, awesome wall chimney, lounge area and bar. Definitely a place that impresses all over, from the high end décor to the welcoming service. Prices are competitive with any other nice bar in downtown Orlando but you are getting a wonderful and beautiful experience from the great location. Top location!

Stopped here randomly with a friend the other night for a night cap, she hyped it up a bit for me, so walking in I had expectations already. Housed in Aloft, so essentially a hotel bar, directly across from performing arts center. Cute outside patio, Bertoia chairs strewn about in a bit in disarray. Get inside and my friend commented on the art not being as impressive. Ordered drinks and made idle chat with bartender that admitted it was a black college reunion that they just hosted in hotel. As we both got acclimated, we noted what looked like probably nice hotel bar looking messy. Trash under furniture, unattended drinks etc. all on pretty furniture. I’m guessing they had a busy time right before we entered, but in as in any hotel you must book ahead — maybe they should have booked more staff to take care of space. Pretty surroundings, great location, but until I pay them another visit I’ll keep my rating, not the best first impression.

Great little bar close to all the events in downtown Orlando. We tried the sliders ad they were delicious! Beautiful place. Hoping everyone doesn’t find this little secret!

This bar is gorgeous, it has an outside area where you can sit. From the bar you can see the hotel pool. The pool is outside right off of orange, i thought that was weird. It is difficult to get to the bar and order, so normally there is a wait time. There isn’t a lot of seating in This bar. There are TVA with sports games playing, I really didn’t watch the tvs

This hotel bar exudes a modern, urban vibe, and it’s a nice change of pace from the rest of downtown Orlando. The bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are reasonable. Happy Hour prices are where it’s at. With plenty of comfortable seats to lounge in, it’s a great place for downtown workers to relex after a day at the office. Parking is nonexistant, although they do offer(expensive valet). You’re better off parking elsewhere and walking here. Overall a nice place to have a drink if you’re downtown.

This is very nice Lobby bar at the Aloft. The bartenders are very friendly and will take good care of you. They have a nice dance floor and a cool patio where you can sit. The patio would be good for people watching, but not many folks venture this far south on Orange Ave. This place is the southern end of the line for bars.

Very trendy bar with nice décor and many seats inside and outside. I came here with a friend for a Unilocal event and had a good time. Honestly, had it not been for this event we would have never found out about wxyz lounge and we live in downtown(!) But now that we have been introduced to it, we plan on coming back — especially if this place offers a good happy hour :)

Awesome atmosphere. Drinks are terrible. All 5 of us got different martinis and none of them were well balanced. None if us finished the drinks. The chicken pesto flatbread is delicious. The spinach dip is ‘ok’ and watery… Chips were stale.

What an awesome vibe! This place is incredibly chic and modern. Did I mention I LOVE chic and modern? My beau and I visited the WXYZ lounge for a privately hosted event. We had no idea what we were walking into. We both have a love for art. So, the crafty pieces strategically placed throughout the lounge were intriguing. Not to mention there is a pool table and plenty of tv’s to catch some playoff action. The vibe is amazing. It’s a very mellow time with cool people all around. The bartenders cared about one thing and one thing only, the damn customer!!! Hold on to your seats folks, this gets better. Our first round of drinks were fixed by a male bartender. This isn’t a bad thing, but when your boy orders the drinks you might not get that extra«umph» you would’ve gotten if the woman had ordered. When I tell you this man gave us eye contact before and while making the pour. Like, «…yeah, I’m pouring the hell out of these drinks…» 2 crown royals on ice for $ 19.00. And they were not short pours! Mind you the night before we’d just paid $ 24 for the same thing at another bar. #win. The second drink was even better! Check it out! Maybe it’ll be a nice Florida afternoon/evening and you’ll get to check out the super plush patio!

The hotel occupies the former Orlando Utilities Commission building that has been a part of Downtown Orlando for over 45 years. For the most part the building was completely renovated, but the folks at Starwood have left a few original pieces from the former OUC building. Some original artifacts like the teak wood panels and terrazzo floors in the lobby still remain. The hotel takes up 110-thousand square feet and features 118 guest rooms with sixty of those being suites. One of the first things you will notice upon entering the hotel is the trendy and ultra modern WXYZ bar that is vying for a spot among Orlando’s bar scene. The WXYZ is flashy and chic with tables in the bar area that are equipped with outlets and chargers for all of your electronic gadgets and includes free WiFi.

slightly better than average hotel bar. sometimes the staff make the bar or the drink do so, but this place is more the latter. they do have these almonds and peanuts to snack, but it was the other guest there and not the bartender who offered them to me. I would rather walk up the street to the other places than here though. being at the end of the street, they need to try harder…

Not your typical run of the mill hotel bar here… and the main reason for that is the staff! The staff behind the bar, and for that matter at the front desk, were stupendous! The free wasabi peanuts and salted almonds make for a nice snack as you drown the day away! Drinks are standard issue drinks, but overall I love this bar and will swing back in when wandering around downtown.

I stopped in W XYZ with a friend of mine just about a month after it opened. I was expecting the typical run of the mill hotel bar, however that was not what I found!!! The employees were welcoming and friendly. The front desk staff came by and greeted us and welcomed us in. For the past few months I now have been coming here frequently and all the staff has been wonderful. They remember the patrons names, they make recommendations on drinks, and they are enthusiastic and enjoyable to be around. Julio, Becca, Keya, and Steven all make me feel like I am a friend and welcome me in with open arms!!! The atmosphere is vibrant and the décor is modern. Great music and great vibe is all around. Prices are good during happy hour. Wine may be a little overpriced, but that is what is expected from a hotel bar. I definitely recommend visiting.
