Just bought our first home and called to have the a/​c serviced. The tech rolled up just as I was having a hard time getting the water turned on. He hopped out of the van and jumped right in and helped me figure it out! Totally unexpected. After that he got to work on the service call. He was very friendly and didn’t mind answering all of my questions. He also offered plenty of advice on how to maintain our system. I will definitely use Vortechs again in the future.

Just had Gerardo come clean out the drain to my AC. He was right on time, explained things to me, showed me how to keep drain clean. I will call them in the future if I have a problem.

Joe is the only person in Orlando that knows how to fix zoned AC systems! After a major lightening storm our AC was out. Another firm said I needed a new air conditioner. I called Vortechs for their diagnosis. Joe and Dan spent two hours in my home looking over every inch of my AC system. They are thorough! Ended up my problem was a bad microprocessor consistent with lightening storm damage. Excellent service! Very professional! They know what they are doing.

Great Job! Called late on a Saturday night. I requested an early Sunday morning service call to fixed the stopped AC in our house. Eddie quickly diagnosed the problem as clogged condensation drains. Quickly got the AC started while he continued to free the clog and perform a full check and cleaning of the system. I signed up for the Gold service plan. I have 2 units which means buying 2 gold service plans. They come with 2 clean and checks one for fall/​winter and one for spring/​summer. Vortech did a very good job, was professional, neat and clean. They left no mess. They were easy to do business with. I called them based on the Reviews of others. Thank you to everyone who provides an honest review.

AC stopped working so I searched Unilocal and came across this biz with pretty much all perfect reviews. Spoke with Kristy in the office and got an appointment for techs to come look at my unit within a few hours of my call. Mike and Eddie came to look at my unit and as soon as I finished telling them what happened they both said practically in unison «I know what’s wrong». luckily I had an easy fix but instead of just taking care of the small problem they spent a little time checking the unit to make sure all as well. They were cheerful and helpful which is the way I wish every person who came to my house to fix something would act. Great job Vortechs Heating & Air.

They called and came an hour earlier than scheduled and fixed my a/​c problem at a reasonable time. Will use them again.

Early Friday afternoon our air conditioner was making a horrible sound. Called around to other businesses and no one could get here till Monday. I called and the could send someone out that day. After arriving Eddie and mike were awesome, did a quick repair and was only charged for the service call. Other work was needed but no pressure was placed on us and they showed me any problems. We definitely will call again if needed.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! They came out on a Sun. 1 hour after I called them. It was 92 degrees in my house. I have a home warranty company that couldn’t find anyone to come out for me all weekend (my a/​c broke Sat.) After some yelling and screaming, the warranty company let me hire someone on my own. I called Vortechs and explained the situation and they came out what seemed like immediately. Did I mention it was 92 degrees in my house!!! They fixed the problem in 10 min. s (a snake fried our capacitor) and gave us a reasonable price tag for the repair. The technician spoke with the warranty company and everything worked out great. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

The AC at our house stopped working around 8:00 pm on Saturday. After calling Del-​Air and being told the earliest they could get someone out was Monday afternoon, I was desperate to find someone who could fix it earlier. Cue calling Vortechs around 8:30 in desperation.
They had a tech to our house before 10, and the AC fixed before 11. Pricing was super reasonable, their tech was professional, actually fixing mistake our previous tech made, and it was done quickly. I couldn’t be happier. I’ll definitely go with Vortechs again.

Lightning zapped us during a huge thunderstorm and the AC went out. Called Vortechs the next morning (Sunday) and they were at my house within a half hour. Eddie easily diagnosed the problem. I am very pleased with Vortechs and highly recommend them.

I called at 6:30 on a Friday for an AC unit that wouldn’t turn on. Eddie and Mike arrived in 40 minutes and identified the problem immediately. Not only did they fix it quickly, they showed me how to address it myself if it happens again along with some helpful maintenance tips. This is a first-​rate company and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended!

Fast and professional service! I never felt like I was being overcharged or taken advantage of. I called at 7:15 pm, a technician was at my house by 9:15 pm, and my AC was up and running great by 10:30 pm. I couldn’t be happier with the service, and I’m glad I called Vortechs!

I had my A/​C stop working at 8PM, and after troubleshooting with Nest to make sure it wasn’t my smart thermostat, I called Del-​Air for emergency services. They weren’t able to get a tech out the same evening, and even said that they wouldn’t be able to help me until «tomorrow afternoon,» not giving a time range of when to expect them.
I then looked on Unilocal and found Vortechs was highly reviewed, and called them. I had a technician out at my house in an hour, and they were knowledgable, polite, and quickly fixed the problem, and explained how to prevent issues like it in the future. Now Vortechs will be my go-​to anytime I have an HVAC issue. This is how you earn loyal customers!

I called Vortechs at 11 am and they had a technician (Jose) here within a half hour. Considering how far away I am from their office this was remarkable and surprising.
They were upfront with the initial fee on the phone call and were able to find and solve the problem quickly (a loose wire). They instructed me on how to trouble shoot my specific problem if it were to accidentally occur in the future.
After resolving the problem he proceeded to check various pressures and readings for the system overall to find any shorts or bad wiring. Closed everything up and was underway in an hour or so from initial arrival time.
They offer a membership for quite cheap that includes preventative maintenance for the next year which is comforting for a new home owner. I am very satisfied with their service and the positive attitudes of their service people.

I contacted this company to install a new air conditioner and rework terrible duct work in my Mom’s home near Lake Wales. They were at her house the very next morning. They did an assessment of what was needed, and they scheduled the work to be complete within two days.
They worked very hard in stifling heat and stayed late until the job was done — exactly on time. The price was reasonable, and the job was done very well. I made sure to get full details from my Mom before paying, and she was more than satisfied. I’m VERY protective of my mother, and very picky about how she’s treated — I couldn’t have been happier with what I heard from her about the service she received.
I spoke to Joe about the job and took care of payment. He could not have been nicer. I even ended up chatting with him about things that had nothing to do with the job. He was very personable and very kind. He clearly takes pride in the work they do, and he should.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking for this type of service.

I found Vortechs on Unilocal as the highest rated company with 9 5-​star and 1 3-​star review this Tuesday — just to come out and do some maintenance work, as it’s been a year since I last had it checked. Who wants to be caught in a Florida summer without AC, right?
They were a half hour outside of the window given, but that’ fine, although a call would have been nice. When told that I needed a capacitor, I mentioned the 3-​star review, which happens to be on the price of a capacitor (quoted $ 107, probably less than $ 10 at Home Depot). At that point, Joe became a little defensive. He quoted $ 65 for refrigerant. I thought it was high at the time, and I questioned in my heart how much he said he had to put in (3 lbs!!). I found out afterward that it really isn’t a particularly gougey price these days, even if I still have a question about the amount needed. Seeing this hard-​working man dripping in sweat in my kitchen, I figure that he is doing something I can’t do myself; how fair is it that you ask someone to come check what the problem is, and then tell him you’ll do it yourself after he’s done the hard part of detecting the problem? So I relented, and I think Joe appreciated that. The final bill ended being a little less than what he quoted me.
At night, the AC stopped working. I called Joe and asked if he could come out to check in the morning. He said he’d come right away, arriving in 30 minutes. He explained that it was a fire he looked at and should have replaced. Now you can say, «Well, why didn’t you?» I choose to appreciate the responsiveness of this follow-​up, and the fact that took time that time of the evening to re-​check everything again.
Fast forward to Sunday morning. My wife texts me that AC is not responding. When we came back from church, we restored the fuse and for a while, it seemed to be working again, although you still wonder why did it blow the fuse? When I called, I was told by Amanda that Joe (after she tried) was not available. First available time was 1 – 3 on Monday. I was disappointed that A) while I understand Joe might not be available, why couldn’t someone else t come out to fix a problem I didn’t have on Monday before Vortechs got involved AND made me $ 400 poorer. B) why am I at the back of the line when this is the completion of a job not yet done? I’ll call in the morning to see if we could get a time sooner, and I’ll update when this is resolved. For now, I’m netting out to be not a very happy camper.

Joe and his staff are always professional, timely, and provide detailed overviews of the diagnosis and work performed, with email invoices and photos. We’ve recommended Vortechs to several friends, and to a person we are always thanked for doing so.
Joe also stands behind his work — I had them back for an issue on an AC they had worked on a few weeks prior, and even though the problem was most likely unrelated, they spent two hours getting it back up and running at NO charge! It’s a rare but smart business person who truly understands that treating people right leads to lifetime loyalty and personal recommendations — need more like these guys out there!

Listen. I don’t understand ACs. All I knew is that we are greatly dependent on them here in Orlando and something about changing a filter and bleach (which was later explained to be false — use vinegar).
On the Christmas holiday I noticed what appeared to be a lack of filter in my AC and TONS of dust. It was like a dark, dirty cave in there. It was terrifying. Lara Croft would not step foot in there. Immediate physical symptoms developed. In a state of panic, I started calling all known AC companies.
Those ****ers ignored me. Straight up lied to my face and said they would call or show up but never did. I went around the internet and found an online deal for this unknown AC company. The owner, Joseph, answered the phone (this was like December 27^th) and immediately calmed me down (I honestly thought the dust was going to kill me at that point) and said he would personally be on his way — within the HOUR!
Honestly, you can’t get better than that. He showed up with a service technician to explain that I was mistaken. I was not dying and I don’t really know where my AC filter is. He serviced the AC; explained to me how they work; demonstrated how to clean and maintain the internal and external machines; explained how air ducts work; showed me exactly how clean my air ducts are; and gave me the location of the only place in town that sells my filters. I took notes.
I went ahead and purchased the membership package. This gives me one extra maintenance visit within the year and discounts on services/​products. Hopefully I will not need emergency service, but it’s nice to know someone has my back if I do.

After six years (and a 20+ year old unit), it finally came to a point where we needed an A/​C company to figure out why the heck we weren’t getting cool air in the house.

We called them this afternoon and was told that he’d be here between 5 and 7, with a 30 minute call ahead time. And guess what? 4:30 we got a call and right around 5, he was here. *THAT is awesome service!*
Our house was 87 degrees (with fans running) when he arrived and by the time he fixed this issue, it was noticeably cooler. The owner explained everything that he was doing, was super nice and will definitely be our first call ANY time we have an issue with our unit… but hopefully that won’t be too often :)
