The place is a great value, like anywhere else that is a great value the service leaves a little to be desired. Their glasses are all decent and their add-​on services for lenses and upgrades are really a bargain compared to most places I have been to. The best time to go is while the kids are in school as it is pretty slow and you get plenty of attention from the staff. The Doctor is a little short tempered but is very knowledgeable and does provide a thorough exam. There are four people in my house that wear glasses and this places makes it manageable.

This place has a great value in their glasses promotion. You just cant beat the price. I have come here twice for my exams and for the price and value i give them a 5 star but when it comes to customer service i give them a –0. I had to wait 21 days for my glasses. I understand they were closed for 2 weeks but they do not make the glasses. Another company makes it for them. The glasses should of been done by the time they re opened. They were suppose to call me but did not. I called them twice and waited for a call back for nothing because they didnt call back either. Bottom line is poor customer service.

OK… so it’s a week later and I go to pick up my glasses. I’m the only name on the PICK UP list so I’m hopeful. It takes them a half hour to call me up. Then we sit at a desk and I try my glasses on. They are fine. So I ask if they have a copy of my prescription that I requested on my original visit. I get the yeah OK… go sit down and we’ll call you. So after another half hour of waiting I get up and start hovering over the front desk (I’m 300 lbs), yet they still seem impervious… but alas I get my paperwork after another 5 minutes or so. So another hour plus of my time was wasted just trying to pick up my glasses and contacts. This place has no respect for your time! It’s too late for me but… SAVE YOURSELF!

I honestly wish I could put 0 stars. First off, I called a couple days before so they could tell me if my insurance would cover it, they said yes but they would pull up my information to be sure, I made my appointment. The next day, they called to remind me about my appointment in three hours, I asked again about my insurance and they said yes. I get there at 11:45am for my appointment and ten minutes later someone says they don’t take my insurance. I start telling them how I only asked them three times on the phone, when someone heard me and reminded them about a page with my info, and then told me I AM covered. Someone took me to a separate waiting room (while saying their employer is lazy) where they took my eye pressure and all that jazz. They brought me to the front then brought me back to the back of waiting room, and then the doctor finally saw me. Weird, backwards system that takes 3 hours to be seen for ten minutes. Even then, the doctor, although nice, seems rushed to do things. All in all, I got temp contact lenses, which they flaunted as if no place else does. They won’t give me my RX until my shipment of lenses comes in, which is inconvenient because now I can’t order my glasses for another week. Oh, and I have to return my temp contact lenses… which I’ve never heard of, and seems incredibly absurd. Steer clear of this place.

Horrible horrible horrible. 2^nd and last time here. The advertised prices are hard to get because they push and try to upsell constantly. When I said «no thank you I’m here for $ 99 special not the $ 229 special» she actually got mad at me and had an attitude. Before seeing the eye doctor the Hispanic girl who took pics of my eyes looked all of 14 years old and was RUDE. She told me kids are better than me when getting an exam.
She had to redo the procedures about 3x each because she couldn’t get it right AND THEN SHE ACTUALLY TOOK SOME KIND OF CORN CHIP/​DORITO OUT OF HER POCKET ATE IT-​AND WAS IN MY FACE TALKING WITH A MOUTHFUL OF FOOD. EWWW REALLY?
I should have walked out right then and there but I had no contacts and nothing to see with! I should’ve listened to my friend and went to Walmart.
Now I go back a couple weeks later because my contacts are in. I have to sign in and wait FOREVER. All I’m doing is picking up contacts. Then they want me to come in and sit down w/​another idiot that works there. These employees aren’t the brightest. I said I don’t want to sit down. I just want my contacts and I want to leave. I have things to do and people waiting in the car for me. What a fiasco.
NEVER EVER AGAIN.

So. in mid June I call vision max to sched my yearly exam w/​contacts and glasses for sometime August, i forgot to write the date down. Begining of July they call me for a reminder appt for Thurs afternoon (I would never make an appt for Thurs while im at work) Anyways, I just called them to explain that i didnt write down my August appt and that someone called me to remind me of an appt for July. The lady didnt understand that I never made it for July and kept saying «so yo u didnt show up for your appt?“and «so you want to reschedule?» it was really frustrating b/​c i didnt do or want to do either of those things! I just had to make another appt…
They will probably call me again in Aug to remind me of my original appt. lol… i mean ugh

Honestly, their price is unbeatable but the doctor is very short with patients, as well as the office staff.

This is probably the worst eye doctor ever. I’m writing this review as I sit in the waiting area. I’m here to pick up my glasses and of course they make you sign in, for what? I’m just picking up. Anyways 2 weeks ago me and my friend came here because we saw the good deals they were advertising on their website, so we made an appointment and brought in the coupons. Turns out the coupons we were using were expired, but they had 2 pairs of glasses for 99 dollars so I figured that’s a good deal as well. I already had my prescription so I didn’t have to get an eye exam (thank god for that) so I went to pick out my frames and no one told me which were part of the promotion. So after picking out my frames the girl who gave me my tray, who speaks like a mouse by the way, told me that only select frames were available with the promotion of course. So after looking at the cheap frames I didn’t like any of them I just decided to spend an extra 30 bucks for some nicer looking ones. So the lady sits me down and starts talking all about her personal life and we finally get to talking about glasses that charge you extra for uv protection, transition which the lady was trying to up sell me on all of them. So after adding a few extras my total was about 144.00. So I went to pay and I realized I used the wrong credit card, my mistake of course and I simply asked them if they could void the payment and pay with another card. If not it wasn’t a big deal but the little Asian lady said she could do it so she voided the payment and I paid again the 144 they said it would take about 3 days to come back on my card. Again no problem I work in an office too and understand how transactions work. So cut to three weeks later they never voided my payment and just charged both cards so I had to make a claim through my bank to have the money refunded because they swear they did do the void but whatever. All in all this place is so disorganized I didn’t even get into my friends experience which was worse than mine since she actually got en eye exam. I would not recommend coming here Walmart has better prices and less hassle than this place

Their advertised prices really are difficult to beat, but sales staff are poor both in service and attitude, as evidenced by the other opinions here. Products were adequate, but keep in mind the ad prices are for basic glasses only. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, beyond the frames and lens is extra: anti-​scratch coating, UV coating. each is $ 15 per pair of glasses. Sunglasses are $ 30 extra. If you already have a prescription, and want cheap glasses, go for it. If you need to wait on their doctors, or want real quality glasses, look elsewhere.

So they advertised a $ 69 special in the paper for 2 pairs of glasses and an eye exam. I left paying $ 300 after taxes.
I went on a Saturday. Everyone and their mom was there. I waited three hours and spent probably 30 mins max being rushed by the doctor and whoever else I interacted with. It was not enjoyable.
$ 300 for all of that is still a good deal honestly but I just don’t think it’s honest to advertise it as $ 69 when it’s not. The lady told me i had to have the newspaper for the $ 69 special or else pay $ 99. I said I’d pay $ 99 rather than drive home for the paper. I even asked the lady up front if it was only going to be $ 99 and she said yes. I’m pretty sure she knew that was not the case.
$ 50 extra per pair if you dont want to have super thick coke bottle glasses. Of course, you are going to pay the extra $ 100 because honestly, I didnt know they still make super thick lenses like that. Ive never had a doctor ask me if I wanted normal looking lenses because they automatically give them that way. I thought everyone automatically made them super thin. $ 15 extra per pair for anti-​scratch. $ 30 extra per pair because apparently I am super blind and she said there would be an additional charge. Taxes were like $ 40 or something.
The doctor was the worst part. He rushed me so much during the exam. «Can you see this one or this one? This one or this one?» I have never had such a crappy appointment. Plus he kept telling me to get anti-​UV this and this and upsell, upsell.
The ladies up front kept talking in Spanish about lunch and all this stuff. Then they would complain about the customers where people could hear. They were SO busy but I thought it was really rude.

please, do not go to this place. I been there last year, i waited forever to get my eye check. literally for 4 hours. i was very disappointed. So week ago, i decided to give them another chance because my mom
s friend work there. to prevent what happened last year, i made an appointment at 1“30 i got there at 1“25 i had to wait forever and got out of there at 4“35, even though i made an appointment with them, that is ridiculous. When i called to order my contacts lens, the lady that talked to me was rude and had an mean attitude.
I told her i wanted to order my contact lens. It was raining when i called her, she said she couldnt hear me so i spoke really lous and clear so she can hear me. At the end, she hung up on me. I did not get to order my contact lens because she hung up on me. How she treated me, how she talked to me on the phone was not nice, was very rude, and unprofessional.
And one more thing, the place there is very crowded and a mess. Last time i came, the floor was not clean at all. Foods were all over the reception place. The receptionist was not welcoming. The people that works there are not professional. I would not go there again. Never ever again i will not give them another chance. And they also charge you extra, more then they say on the phone, or their coupons. I ended up paid almost $ 300 there. Not reccommend.

Wow, where to begin? In January 09, I found their coupon in the newspaper so being new to the area I decided to give them a try. About 4 months later one of the lenses on my glasses began to look severely scratched, which I realized was actually cracks because the cheap lens was literally bowing out of the frame. I went back to get it fixed, and was told in barely coherent «Engrish» that this was my fault, that I left them out in the sun, dropped them, etc. which was completely untrue because I have been wearing glasses for almost 20 years, and never had this problem.
At this point I was defeated and angry and wanted my prescription information so that I could go elsewhere and get good quality lenses (if I was going to have to pay for them anyway), eat the cost and never go there again, when they offered me a new lens for $ 20. Fine, whatever, they took my glasses and told me it would be a week. After not hearing anything for 8 days, I called them and was told that it takes two weeks, not one (I’m the dumb one, right?). Two weeks to get a lens replaced! A year later I went elsewhere because the lenses were once again bowing out of the frame and cracking. The new place I went to not only discovered that Vision Max had given me the wrong prescription (–5.50, as opposed to –4.75), but the lenses were of DIFFERENT prescriptions, when they shouldn’t have been!
The receptionists are very short and rude, and even though you have an appointment you’re left waiting for what seems like an eternity. The staff barely speaks English and often resorts to gestures and hand signals to get you to go somewhere or do something. They go through people very quickly, which amazes me considering how awful they are.
Moral of the story is, you get even less than what you pay for. Please save yourself the stress and go elsewhere, pay a little more for decent service and good quality, not to mention employees who actually give a damn!
