Tropics Pool Bar – Hilton Orlando

Food was way overpriced for the quality. Out table had allergy issues and they melted cheese on a burger patty intended to be Gluten/​Dairy Free (Burger and Fries — $ 16.50) I would not recommend anyone with an allergy concern to eat here. Both of our burgers were not cooked as requested. Meat was not of great quality. Both tables next to us had issues with their orders as well. Service was just so-​so.

For a few drinks only this is a good stop. We stopped here for dinner one night and were relatively unimpressed with the burger and fish tacos for the price. I would stop by for a margarita again. For a meal I would likely make another choice.

The Margarita flat bread was perfect! We ordered wings they were great! We also ordered pizza and hotdogs, good was great. A bit pricey, but was expected. They accommodated us very well! The pool is amazing! Loved it!

For the most part the food was good (as good as it can be at a pool bar), some items were a little over priced, also to be expected. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
My only complaint, I was fully prepared to pay a large amount for cocktails at the pool because that’s just how it is. However, in exchange for paying a large amount, I also expect to receive a large amount in return. Most hotels do charge more for drinks but I never mind because they are better quality and have more alcohol. I ordered a Mai Tai pitcher I believe, 3 different rums in the description, so I think perf. Pitcher comes and we get barely 2 cups out of it because it was literally alllll ice and pure juice.
We tried finding our server to say something but we couldn’t find her the 4 hours following. My husband went to the bar to check out and because she was nowhere to be found the bartender was unable to help. Apparently they all take care of their own checks so she’d have to be the one to do it. Just as the bartender is about to create a new check so we can leave she shows up. By this point we’re past caring so we pay the exorbitant amount for 2 drinks of juice.
This pool bar is newb status, won’t be going back to the Hilton Orlando for this reason.
