I wanted to shoot a tommy gun full auto being I live in a commie state. I have shot many types of guns for over 30 years, from Muskets, to semi/​full auto and all types of pistols. Saw this seemed to be the only place that had the Thompson so I stopped by.
I was greeted by 2 people, man and woman. The man gave me a lame lesson on how to operate the gun, along with 50 rounds of ammo and 1 clip. So I went in to shoot it. First off there were NO staff in the range and it was littered with spent ammo cartridges, as well as VERY hot, dark and all around dirty.
I loaded up the clip and took a shot, it jammed right off. Another shooter came over to help but said he had no understanding of this gun but kept messing with it. I took it away and said I will talk to staff. Stepped back out into the front and the man confirmed how to load it, etc. I went back in and used 48 rounds, 2 were messed up due to additional jams. The front stock also came off. I took the gun back and told the woman the gun kept jamming and the fore stock is loose. She said it was shot 3 times before me then dumped it in a tray. I said you have to CLEAN it each time its used. Tommy Guns are like that. She said «yeah whatever, we will take care of it…» and proceeded to charge me the $ 95 fee. Upon leaving the guy must have been in the back hidden and let out a large disgusting burp. Wow so PROFESSIONAL!
This was a complete waste of time, gas and money. These people have NO respect for the fire power they rent. The tommy was all dinged up as well. There is no security or staff in the range and it was very dirty.
Don’t waste your time/​money here. Take a trip to Las Vegas and go to The GUN store. I shot a Tommy and German MP-​40 (BOTH FROM WWII) as well as a .44 SW magnum for $ 150 including 50 rounds for each machine gun and 6 rounds for the pistol. Their entire staff was professional and friendly and security was top notch. Big difference then the Shooting Gallery, that is a scary place and very unprofessional.

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s a great place to shoot your handguns or rent some, including fully auto (pistol caliber) carbines.
Staff is laid back and friendly. I feel safe here but they do have a lot of tourists shooting which does make me a bit nervous because of their lack of gun experience and safety knowledge.
Overall, this is a good and reasonably priced range to let off some rounds, but you can’t shoot high powered rounds (such as AK or AR) so it is limiting to me.

Nice folks, good selection of handguns as well as full autos. Reasonable prices. Not the best neighborhood, true, but you will feel perfectly safe inside. Lots of ammo at good prices.

I’m Canadian, so I don’t have many opportunities to go shooting. When I do, the range up here is extremely restrictive (one shooter at a time, the ever-​present range officer loading the weapons for you and watching your every move like you’re not to be trusted), and the restrictive prices make it a very uncomfortable and expensive experience.
At The Shooting Gallery, we were greeted in a friendly manner, allowed to rent and shoot despite the fact I forgot all my IDs, and after a quick how-​to, sent out on the range to have our fun. The prices compared to Canada were much lower, and the selection of firearms was quite extensive. The other customers I saw there (ranging from British tourists to obvious regulars) were very friendly, one regular inviting me to try a couple magazines with his personal MP5 and giving me a few tips.
All in all, even though I lack experience with ranges, I would say this was one of my funnest experiences and I recommend it to everyone happening by.

This is the least prefered Gun Range I’ve ever been to. They get +1 star because they have fully automatic rifles to rent, but the place is just grungy and the clientel is kind of shady.
The guy working there wore a pretty old muscle tshirt and flip flops. didn’t really seem that professional. Some other guy was there wearing a suit speaking SO loud obviously trying to sell some type gun class.
The sign outside indicates «free range time» however you have to pay $ 10 per hour per lane. The place is small. not really located in the best part of town. They have about 6 lanes.
The inside lobby is kinda outdated. they have a clear view of a little gun shop repair area with tools everywhere complete with the smell of spraypaint and WD 40. Didn’t see much of a big gun purchase selection but they do have a lot of rentals to chose from.
Once you’re in the actual shooting range, it’s just like any other range-it’s alright-​very spacious shooting area, you don’t feel «crammed» in there if you’re with a few other people, so that’s a plus.
If you want to go there just to shoot… and are in the area I guess go for it. To me, this is a super shitty part of town. You have your Orange County Jail house right across the street, and every single place you look is Bail Bond. so it’s not the best part of town.
