Went to a wine tasting here last night and had a killer time. This place has an unbelievable wine selection. The staff was great and very knowledgable in making suggestions.
Food was great, company was great. Had a great time.
I highly recommend this place.

They had a wine tasting last night. There was definitely a crowd. Diverse selection of wines & of course, great food to nosh on.
Just had an absolutely fabulous time and met some wonderful people on top of it! Great evening!

Hosted a business dinner here recently for 16 people. All was ok, until it was time to order. At least 9 dishes on the menu were not available. So, appetizers were served and they sucked. They attempted to quell our annoyance by providing a cheese plate appetizer, which I could’ve put together better with Costco cheese cubes. Complete shite. Entrees were ordered and it took over 3, YES, 3 hours to finally arrive. I can’t go on. Writing this review is giving me anxiety all over again. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Sucks.

A vault? What’s in there, money, gold, diamond, frankincense, and myrrh? You know the Three Wise Men… oh… Christmas is gone. No, but the contents date back to Dionysus and ancient Greek Mythology — WINE! Yes. It is a wine and gift store.
Without conducting an indepth item by item audit, it appears that the wines sold in this store are featured in Funky Monkey’s five restaurants in Orlando namely, Bananas Diner, Prickly Pear, Nicks Italian Kitchen, Funky Monkey Wine Company Orlando and International Drive location. It is sold by bottle or case. There are also gifts and accessories. Custom furnishing and clothing are crafted by Alicia Markstone.
The storefront is along Mills Av. in the emerging eclectic Mills 50 area. Th purple awning makes it easily recognizable. Inside the store are neatly stacked wines. The attendant was welcoming and very informative. Prices are reasonable. Nice cozy surroundings.

I was told Funky Monkey was an Asian Fusion restaurant. However, upon walking into the place it seemed more of a wine/​bistro place with also a sushi roll menu. I had the French onion soup, which was very peppery and came in such a shallow bowl that it was cold after a bite. I then ordered the salad with tuna. The tuna tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days and the salad was soggy with dressing. The wine selections were limited, with just standard selections of white and red. The service was slow and the air conditioning actually stopped which made the already small restaurant more uncomfortably hot and stuffy super fast.
The one thing that was nice was they had no problem with separating the bill for our large party.

I’ve only been here twice, but both times were very pleasant. They have a huge selection, and very good prices as compared to some other places in town. I ought a bottle of one of my favs and spent about 5 bucks less than I would have at another spot.
The staff are GREAT. Super helpful and very nice.
The décor is adorable. I’m sure that isn’t the description they are looking for, but that’s how it is to me: kind of over-​the-​top posh meets ironic = adorable. I love it!
I live all the way on the other side of town, but when I’m out that way, I will definitely be back. Beats going to a big warehouse place, unless I know exactly what I want. And when it comes to wine, I usually don’t.

Nice storefront, good selection of wines for the store size though I cannot comment on prices since I didn’t see any listed outside of a bargain bin section. Cute couches and sitting area up front.
Staff was friendly, asking if I needed assistance and if I was looking for something in particular while explaining the store layout.
Looks like a great place to swing into if you are in the Colonialtown area and need a bottle for a gift or dinner. Good mix of known brands and some more boutique (not mass produced) wines. Interested to check out a future tasting.
