Tasty Tuesdays In The Milk District

FOOD TRUCK HEAVEN!
When I tell you, you have options… you have OPTIONS. I’ve been to Tasty Tuesday’s only a handful of times, but not once did I NOT leave talking about how good the food was. (Pretty sure the food was the only thing I was talking about WHILE eating)
My boyfriend & I like to try out new things whenever we would go. We’ll get two completely different meals from different food trucks & share!
Louie’s bistro had the most savory mojo pork sandwich topped with Maduros (yellow plantains), cilantro, cheese, on freshly baked French bread. Most memorable meal I’ve experienced yet from Tasty’s.

I have a problem with food trucks in a city like Orlando — I’m not driving to a food truck. I’m okay with it if it happens to be where I am, like when something parks in front of RLRL or Imperial. But there’s no «oh look, my favorite food truck is just a few subway stops away today, I think I’ll hop on over and grab a sandwich!» in Orlando for obvious reasons. It’s more like, «oh look, my favorite food truck is in Altamonte today, that’ll be a 45-​minute drive round trip so that I can buy a sandwich that I’ll have to eat in my car.»
But this! Aha, I can do this. Milk Bar is right there. I can grab a beer, and look over the many trucks parked in the back. Engage with my decision-​making disorder for a little while, and finally select a tasty meal to be eaten out of a paper tray while being serenaded by the angelic choir of a dozen running generators.
It’s a beautiful thing. Go check it out!

As vacationers from out of town I didn’t really know what to expect from this. I had never eaten at a food truck before let alone a dozen of them. Everything I tried was better than expected and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. If I’m ever in Orlando again this will definitely be a stop for me.

A must try! Been going to Tasty Tuesday’s every now and then over the past few years and it never disappoints. There is always a good selection of trucks that come out with a wide range to please every palette. Grab a drink and seat inside Space or Milk bar and enjoy!

This place is a really awesome find in Orlando. There’s usually about 10 – 15 food trucks (different ones each week) that come together behind some of the bars. There’s usually a really great variety (filipino, swedish, BBQ, etc) of food available so there’s always something for everyone. I’d bring around $ 20 per person if you’re really hungry and you should be set.
There’s always a dessert cart around too! I’ve never had a bad meal here and I highly recommend Over Rice. Their lumpia is amazing! (filipino take on a spring roll)
The only downside is that parking gets a bit of an issue if you don’t come early and there really aren’t a lot of places to sit or tables to put your food on. The bars are available to counter this, though. I just prefer eating outside :)

. Always something different to eat and my friends and I don’t have to argue about where to go to eat. The bars are great about letting you chill and eat and they don’t even hound you to keep drinking. Family friendly, even dog friendly. All the food trucks are a great price and you can check the tasty Tuesday Facebook page to see what trucks are coming. Really cool Tuesday spot.

I love the concept of the weekly local food truck event. I just think a few more options couldn’t hurt. I think this is something that should stay alive and going. When my food truck is up and going id truly be interested in being a part of this awesome event!

I LOVE food trucks! This food truck get together is my favorite because it is consistent. It happens every week in the same location behind the Milk District strip of bars and shops. You can always count on them without having to chase down some rotating schedule. They are there rain or shine and always offer a good variety of trucks. Follow «Tasty Tuesdays» on Facebook to see what trucks are planned for the upcoming Tuesdays.
Another great feature is that the trucks are working in partner with the bars and shops. You are welcome to bring in your food to eat inside with a cold one or a coke! There are also a few tables outside but be prepared to eat and walk or stand while you munch. Dogs and young ²⁰⁄₃₀ somethings a plenty so if that’s not your scene then you have been warned. Everyone is super cool and friendly, especially the truck operators, so dont be shy.
I have some favorite trucks that frequent TT but this is just a review for the event. Whoever lines up the trucks does a good job so go with confidence that you will find something that suits your tastes.

Yes! Plenty of trucks to choose from, and a strip of bars housing all kinds of beer. Gotta love the Milk District!
The trucks take up the back parking lot behind Milk Bar, etc., so park over by the TG Lee factory or in the nearby neighborhood and walk on over. Once you do a lap or two and choose your food, head into the bars to grab a seat and a beer. They allow the food inside the bars, but you cannot bring outside alcohol beverages.
My favorite regular trucks are Monsta Lobsta and La Empanada. Be sure to check their Facebook page to see the schedule, as the trucks rotate weeks.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Orlando for 5 years and have only just gone to Tasty Tuesdays. Food trucks galore so you get your pick. Grab a beer from one of the bars and enjoy it with your meal.
I got BB! Q and ice cream. I was not disappointed.

5 Stars to a weekly event that brings together the community and involves great, varied food and drinks!
I have been going to Tasty Tuesdays for a few years now and every time I go I am more convinced I should make it a more regular outing.
Beware the lack of parking! My recommendation is to ride a bike or hop on someone’s scooter. The food trucks are located behind Etoile Boutique and the Milk Bar and are varied. You can always get a list of the trucks for the week in their FB page, but I personally like a surprise!
Another thing I dug was that there were many families at the roundup (and pups!) and even a local artist. This is the gathering spot for tons of locals and it’s helping brand the Milk District as the hip, urban spot it wants to be.

Seeing as this is not too far from the neighborhood where I grew up, I was excited to hear about a food truck event there and to experience it. I wish they had food truck meet ups like this when I still lived in Orlando!
I’m giving it 4 stars because there are many trucks, so you have lots of choices about how conventional or creative you want your food and desserts to be. The variety is there, so it was great for me when I went with three other people. We all tried food from different places and were (mostly) happy.
The set up is a bit awkward because it’s basically in the back lot behind a few buildings, so there’s an alley of sorts and it just lacks flow. However, there are two small bars where you can find a limited amount of seating and they both have cool vibes and bathrooms for when you need them (bathrooms are important when you’re talking about a food trucks… those things don’t have bathrooms, at least none of the ones I’ve seen).
The only two things that might detract from the experience is 1) parking can be a challenge and 2) it can be loud outside because of the noise of all those generators.
Knowing that, I’d still recommend checking it out at least once!

If you’re expecting to be seated at a table in a fancy restaurant PLEASE don’t come here… its food trucks, people. That being said, expect some VERY tasty food, decent variety of options, in a semi-​hidden bar district here in Orlando… the Milk District. And it’s called that because it’s right behind the TG Lee Milk plant!
It’s only about a block or two, but Milk District is made up of a handful of shops and bars. And every Tuesday night, food trucks congregate along the street and in the WELL LIT alley behind these businesses, selling their goodies.
Depends on who shows up, but most if not every Tuesday, you can choose from lobster rolls, Cuban cuisine, Venezuelan arepas, Kona Dogs, Korean BBQ, gourmet ice cream and my favorite, the YUM YUM CUPCAKE TRUCK!!!
Prices aren’t Taco Bell cheap. But then again, this isn’t Taco Bell. It’s GOOD QUALITY FOOD… so go ahead. Make plans to do dinner at the Milk District on Tasty Tuesday!!!

This is a food truck off in the happens every tuesday in the milk district. I never go because I’m always afraid of there’s nothing for me to eat and I am vegan and have severe dairy allergies to food. There were 2 food trucks that I can eat from a this event. The food trucks were well structured so that you could see all the menus without getting in the way of the lines. The table if you need them are inside the milk district the bars. It is a great place to meet new people and hang out on a tuesday

Love Tasty Tuesdays in the Milk District! They always have a great assortment of food trucks with plenty to sample & try. The great thing is every week they switch it up to give all of the trucks in Orlando a chance to participate. We are never disappointed and love going to try new things. One of the trucks we tried once was Whompa Chompa which isn’t on Unilocal for some reason but i uploaded a couple of pics from their.

This location is literally across the TG LEE plant and is behind the local bars. You can’t miss it. Parking can be tricky, since you either have to park on the street or down the block at some offices. Don’t worry your car won’t get towed :)
There were a good amount of trucks there, changes every week so make you you take a look on the fb page of what trucks to expect, or just wing it and go surprise yourself. The bars welcome you into their joint to sit, eat, and of course have a sip of some good beer and drinks. Which was great since there isn’t a lot of tables or sitting available.
I tried the Bem Bom food truck, which was a Portuguese influenced and the menu consisted of sandwiches, tacos, and their egg flan dessert. Definitely get that! If you like spicy food definitely try this truck out, I ordered the Piri Piri Chicken Prego. It had a burst of different flavors consisting of spicy and citrusy flavors. I think it was a little bit too spicy for me, because my lips felt numb and it was hard for me to finish. But it was still good.
The other truck I tried was the Tamale and Co. Definitely loved this one! I ordered the Verde Chicken Tamale. Yum! Shredded chicken rolled into the tamale, and topped with their verde sauce, crema, queso fresco, and cilantro. Party in your mouth! Wasn’t heavy tasting and definitely will get you full off of one.
It’s a great vibe in this area, laid back, hipster, and overall just a cool spot to hang out and chill with friends. Pretty relaxing to say the least. Dogs are very much welcome here, so bring that buddy of yours along :) I’ll be coming back for sure!

This is an awesome concept. What makes it even cooler is the food trucks are located near a few pretty cook bars. And there were just so many, many food options.

One of my buddies invited me out here to get out of the house. I had previously met up with them over dinner and they mentioned Tasty Tuesdays to me. I needed a break so I decided this would be perfect to get out of my environment and have some delicious food truck food. I got out here around 6:30PM. I originally parked close to the Motorcycle Parking only sign that is placed in the neighborhood behind the place. One of the bikers pulls up and gives me the death stare. I asked him if it was OK to park where I was since there was adequate parking for a motorcycle in front of me and was told, «I don’t know, read the sign.»

So after I found another parking spot in the next street over. I made my way into Milk Bar to meet up with my two friends. Awesome place. The bartender asked me for my name and -. oh right. Tasty Tuesdays!
I went for two food trucks. One was La Empanada and the other was WakoTaco food truck. I would have gone for the poutine offered by The Big Cheese but I was trying to keep it light. Next time for sure!
The one empanada I had was pretty good but definitely not filling. Two of these would have been great. Since I wanted to try another truck, I went for the wakotaco truck and got their wakitos (their spin on taquitos). Both were great choices! Albeit a little on the expensive side, I get it with food trucks. So I would say the prices are what you should expect from a food truck. They had about 10 different trucks out there, including dessert trucks and a swedish truck. They rotate trucks so make sure to check out their Facebook page to get the heads up on who’s going to be there so you don’t get left in the dark.
All-​in-​all, Tasty Tuesdays is a great way to get out and be social with some friends. You can hit up any of the bars, have a drink and shoot the shit. Drink prices are pretty decent as well. They’ll let you walk around back with your glass (but be courteous and return them so you don’t ruin this for the rest of us!).
My friend did point out the drowning sound of the generators. Although I understand the neighborhood probably wouldn’t appreciate it, music would probably be a great addition to the back area. If dive bars are your thing, Space Bar and Milk Bar are both good choices.
If you’re hungry, leaving work from downtown and looking for something to do or eat, this is not a bad choice at all. It’s also good if you have indecisive friends, spouses, or children who don’t know what they want to eat. Oh yeah, they’re also pet friendly but keep cujo at bay please. So yeah, 4 stars from me. There’s room for improvement but regardless it’s one of the great things about Orlando on a Tuesday.
And yeah, I’m definitely be returning sometime to get an order of that poutine. Let me know if you’re down to roll out.

The hubby and I love going every Tuesday when we can. It’s kid and dog friendly. Some of the bars may not be kid friendly if you want to sit inside (Some are smoker friendly). However, bring some chairs or a big blanket to sit down and it’s actually much better, especially if you love to people watch.
They change out most of the food trucks but you’ll see repeat ones every Tuesday like the Yum Yum Truck (Because they’re so good!).
If you don’t live nearby to walk it or bike it, try carpooling or parking by the TG Lee factory across the street.

Awesome weekly food truck event in the Milk District (Robinson and Bumby area) from 6pm– 10p every Tuesday. I went with some friends for the first time recently. Parking is pretty much wherever you can find it. I lucked out finding a spot next to the TG Lee plant but crossing Robinson can be a pain.
The list of food trucks vary from week to week but are a great variety. Lots of good vegetarian options and most trucks take cards now but always good to have cash in case. I like being able to see the food truck list beforehand to see if there are any trucks I want to visit. Saves me time .
The event is very dog friendly. And it’s on a much smaller scale than most of the food truck bazaars around time that can be super overwhelming. There really isn’t a lot of seating so feel free to bring some chairs. We ducked into the Milk Bar which allowed patrons to eat in there but make sure to give them your drink business.
All in all, I would do this event any day over the larger scale events in the area. Perfect if you’re a food truck «newbie»! :)
