Well That was a disappointment Shrimp were ok. Crab not good. But that was hard to tell since they told us if we want to use a crab cracker it was an additional $ 5 charge. The rest of the food was tired and old and tough. Don’t worry it was all hot. So you won’t need to worry about food safety. Besides. Germs grow in a warm moist environment. And most of the food was not moist.

I’ve never left a bad review, but today, I think I should. The food that was supposed to be hot was luke warm at best and the food ghat was supposed to be cold was room temp. I don’t usually go to buffets, so I expected less than stellar quality. I didn’t expect to leave hoping I don’t get sick. I would not go back.

Great selection and for the price, the quality was as expected whith the sushi being fresh and the service wasn’t always freat but exceptable. If ýou are looking for an affordable buffet with a family feel and definitely worth the try! Beats other buffets in the area.

I have been eating here since about 2000 and have seen it change management and all its changes. I have nothing to say about this place other than there’s a huge variety of foods and all taste great. Most Chinese buffets taste the same and it comes down to the freshness of the product and what not. Hands down the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I am currently a vegan and have little to no options there. But from the hibachi to all the fresh sushi and all the items on the buffet this place rocks and for the price. Lunch special is well worth it!

In a pinch or in a hurry don’t waste your time or money. has to be the worst Chinese buffet around. the food was tasteless and not once was any of it hot or even warm. I tried a little of everything and the result was the same each and every time. after being here for 45 minutes there was finally 2 sushi rolls one which looked like a california roll hard to tell as it was covered in a sauce perhaps to cover up the poor execution of the roll itself. roll 2 was a imitation roll with shredded imitation crab made to mimic fish sliced on top again covered in a sauce hiding the lack of execution. had to sort through the dishes to find a clean one each time I. ventured to be disappointed with another bad plate of food. best part of the meal was the soda and lastly the banana. the waitress asked how everything was and I told her that the food was terrible and that everything was cold. her reply«I’m sorry«nothing further. do not and I repeat do not waste the effort and especially the money here as you’ll walk away with a. very bad taste in your mouth and stomach.

Initally was scared to try due to the bad review. Son was craving crab legs thus the buffet was his choicem. Was actually not bad,.cleaner than most Chinese buffet in california. Crawfish, mussels and clamp was okay but definitely better than California Chinese buffets places Got in at 9pm and found that there’s no crab legs. BTW crab legs are $ 5.99 extra per person. Very pleasantly surprised.

**updated review** This place really is hit or miss. I stand by my previous post of «if it looks bad – the taste follows» Food: If you come at «normal dinner hours» you will have fresh food that tastes great. Try getting here between 5 – 7. Staff: Not the friendliest bunch by any means.

I think the biggest thing to remember when you go to a buffet is that the food is designed to appeal to the masses. With that said I think this place does a very good job of just that. The food wasn’t overly seasoned or super authentic to where it might appear unrecognizable. The staff is very friendly and kept or table clean and drinks full. The place is usually pretty packed so don’t get alarmed by the number of cars or people the food is plentiful and hot. The best part about the entire place is there have sushi that’s made right in front of you! I couldn’t find any significant cons about this establishment. The only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because I wish the décor was a little bit more updated. But for the price of the food, I’m not complaining

I found this place while waiting to check into my hotel today. I’m sort of a sucker for a Chinese restaurant so I figured I’d give it a go. The shopping plaza around it was interesting to say the least, but I can’t judge the place on that. I walked in was greeted by the hostess who was very friendly, she sat me and a waitress immediately asked me for my drink order. As for my meal, I kept it simple and had the buffet. The buffet was pretty small and at times a little empty, but I could see they were working on adding fresh items. People were asking for specific items and they were told a wait time and then the food arrived. As a Chinese buffet goes, it was pretty decent. The place was clean and the service was good.

Yesterday I left a tip on the table. At the checkout I presented a credit card for the total and put a slash thru the tip line.(It was an out-of –state card) The management fraudulently added TWODOLLARS to the total, and processed it to my bank.

I’d probably go 2.5on this if it was an option. Probably. The cold offerings and salad bar were better than most — and everything seemed fresh: nice lettuce, seafood salad tasted fresh and not drowned in mayonnaise, hard-boiled egg smelled and tasted fine, even a tartar sauce that tasted housemade — although I’m not really sure what for… shrimp, I guess? Sushi rolls were a little sketchy but tasted okay. The«fried» section was passable — really good chicken wings, egg rolls tasty but greasy, and good sweet and sour sauce. Some of it wasn’t up to temp — and I’m not excusing that — but it’s par for the course at most of the«super buffets» I’ve been to lately. That’s about the best I can say. It was toward the end of the night, even though it was fairly busy when I came in. Most of the hot food didn’t look to be worth touching. I had a few bites of «fried» rice, some lo mein noodles, a few pieces of General Tso’s Chicken that may or may not have been tasty a few hours prior… and I ate around the beef in the Beef with Broccoli just because it looked… anemic. I considered the create-your-own hibachi, but the meat there wasn’t looking so fresh, either. Service was passable, but in no way friendly. Bathrooms were clean — always a good sign. In short, I’ve eaten at worse Chinese buffets in my day… but not many. Don’t know that I see myself returning, but I’m not completely sorry I checked it out, either. Given the location and the overall«curb appeal», it’s probably about what you’d expect.

I work minutes away from the Super Orient Buffet, but we NEVER go there. Recently a friend told me her family likes it, so I suggested to the lunch gang we give it a try. My co-workers are probably never going to let me pick the restaurant again after my last couple recommendations. We parked in the back of the building. This was not good. We walked past all kinds of bad-smelling things and assorted restaurant debris on our way to the door. Somehow we kept walking. When we got to the door we got a strong blast of seafood-scented air. But for some reason we still went in. The buffet has a large assortment, but there was nothing particularly great. I tried a little bit of several dishes. I thought the chicken bits were too fatty and I ended up not eating much of what I took. Also, we arrived around 11:30 and may of the dishes hadn’t been put out on the buffet yet. I’m a picky eater, and this was a test of all of my food phobias. The inside is dingy. Don’t dare look at the vents on the ceiling. Anyway, I dined and I survived. We jokingly said as we left that we were setting our clocks for the onset of food poisoning, but here we are at work the next day, survivors. Not good, not good at all.

I thought I would take a break from college football yesterday evening and satisfy a craving I had for Chinese food. So I went to Super Orient Buffet since it is somewhat close to home. It has been a month since I have been here, and I must say that I was really disappointed the second time around. After I entered, I had to wait to be seated. And the wait time seemed considerably longer. I looked over to the cashier station, and there was a kid behind the counter counting money. Having looked up, he then came out from behind the counter and seated me at a table. I say«kid» because this young man seemed to be younger than the age of sixteen. I ordered my drink and started over to the buffet. The won ton soup was good, but the egg rolls and spring rolls lacked any flavor. Even the duck sauce I dipped the rolls into seemed bland. After appetizers, I had a shrimp/zucchini dish with white rice, seasoned only in the butter it was cooked in. I also tried a chicken and broccoli dish with noodles that seemed mildly seasoned. It seems like these two dishes were available with a few other main dishes, such as baked salmon, orange chicken. Not much of a change in menu. One would think that other oriental dishes would be rotated into the menu. And why are there items on the menu that are is not oriental cuisine(yellow rice). I can understand items such as french fries, chicken nuggets, and fried shrimp for the children. The offerings at the sushi counter was unimpressive. The dessert offerings seemed to be few, and the top of the reach in ice cream freezer was left open after someone served them self to some ice cream. As for the service staff, I was really disappointed. They were quick to remove any plates from the table, but no one came by to refill my drink. Another waitress walked around the dining area with a broom and dust pan sweeping underneath the tables. As she swept, the top of the broom would hit the top of the dust pan. For several minutes, diners had to put up with a «bang, bang, bang». It was loud and annoying. And as I was getting ready to put a tip on the table before I left, the waitress came up and started to remove any plates. There were several other tables in the dining room that were empty, so I do not know what the rush was. A young couple with their daughter had to wave a waitress over to get their drinks. I can understand keeping up a clean appearance in the dining room, but serve the guests first. When I went to pay, the kid behind the counter rang me up and asked how everything was. I just shook my head and signed the receipt. I was happy with Super Orient Buffet the last time I was here, but left me disappointed this time. If they were to change around the menu instead of offering the same old menu items, I would be happy.

If you’re looking to get fat for cheap, this is your one stop shop. Shudder. The worst thing about this place is that there’s no way you’re going to have a healthy meal. The best thing is that you are going to have a HUGE, cheap meal, and for Chinese Buffets, it is both clean and high quality. I go here for lunch when possible. I think it’s something like $ 8. You really can’t beat that, when a lunch special of one dish plus rice is $ 6.50 at a non-buffet Chinese restaurant. Don’t come here expecting«genuine» Chinese food. You will only get that in China and LA. If you’re into vomiting in the bathroom or behind the building after a meal, this is not a great spot. The bathroom stalls are right in front of the doors, and the outside area is very exposed.

While there definitely is quantity at Super Orient Buffet, the same cannot be said about quality. All of the meat choices had extremely poor cuts of chicken(very tiny pieces, think pet food) and many of the food choices weren’t hot enough, even on a busy Sunday afternoon. Some of their sides, such as their«krab» ragoons are simply amazing, while others like their wonton soup are lacking in flavor. Pros: HUGE selection, including some American items like mashed potatoes; great price(6.99 for lunch buffet) Cons: Taste and temperature on most items lacking, requires table service(think Golden Corral) Overall: I don’t think it’s worth going for the awesome ice cream bar and delicious krab ragoons. I would pick another Chinese restaurant, even non-buffet style, over Super Orient Buffet any day.
