It was okay expected the burger to be a little bigger. The shake was great and so were the onion rings. Service could have been better. First time there and the waitress didn’t make any recommendations.

«Great drive-thru experience» My wife and my daughter were hungry after my daughter’s art lesson; and, decided to stop by for a quick meal. I wasn’t feeling very hungry; but, went along for the ride. We placed our orders at the drive through; and, my daughter got her usual fries and a shake. My wife had eaten at another location earlier in the day, so she passed on her usual; and, got a bacon cheeseburger. Everything was fresh made; cooked or blended to order; and, the hot items were served hot; the cold items cold. It was a great drive-thru experience.

Nice clean place. But the food sucks. I mean you could really get better tasting food from McDonald’s. Just my opinion I’m not from down south so this was my first time trying it but I will say I won’t be tryin it again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by our first stop at a Steak ‘n Shake. I expected fast food. It was like fast food(better, actually), only it was a sit-down restaurant. This place is decorated like a diner — red with stainless steel. The servers were very friendly. Ours addressed us as «Mister» and«Maam.» When we asked for extra napkins, he pleasantly got more. He was a very courteous and attentive server. The food was terrific. We ordered a couple of their steakburgers — the classic and the garlic double cheeseburger. They’re thin fresh-made patties seared to crispy/juicy hamburger goodness… very similar to what you’d find at Culver’s. Actually, this restaurant most resembled Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers — from the décor, to the burgers, to the fries and their own seasoning — it was almost identical to Freddy’s. Their thin fries were delicious as well. Steak ‘n Shake offers their own seasoning(a Lawry’s and pepper-like combination) that tastes great on the hamburger and the fries. They do offer Cajun or Parmesan or Vinegar seasoning on the fries for an additional charge. After trying the parmesan, I’d suggest just ordering your fries straight-up. It wasn’t worth the upcharge to have some seasoning sprinkled on the fries. The prices here were pretty unbelievable for a sit-down restaurant. They have a variety of meals(hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. with fries) for $ 3.99. Their shakes are great as well. We split a Heath and it was quite good. Don’t expect a thick malt or Blizzard. These are shakes, and hence a bit milkier. You have to have a shake if you’re going to Steak ‘n Shake, and they have a variety of excellent flavors to choose from(Strawberry, Chocolate fudge, Butterfinger, and many more). After our first trip to Steak ‘n Shake I would definitely go back.

The waiters are so friendly! I definitely felt welcome the first step in the door. The milkshakes are crazy awesome as always and they’re never disappointing. Would definitely recommend!

The food here is cheap so you can not expect a 5 star high quality meal. This is your luxury McDonalds where you can have table service 24 hours a day for prices cheaper then McDonalds with there $ 4 dollar meals(no drink included). The service is acceptable for the prices charged and knowing how little they likely make in tips. Witnessed one server who handled an upset guest very well and with professionalism(The diner was all up in arms over bacon not being crispy) it takes great employees to be able to handle this with a smile. All in all this was a fun place to experience but sometimes paying a bit more for a higher quality ingredients is worth it. Being right down the street from UCF though is a huge plus for this location.

Came here because I got in late and was hungry. The fries were decent, very skinny and crispy on the outside. The burger was weak, nothing special at all, reminded me of a McDonald’s burger or something. The only redeeming quality about this place was the shake. I got the salted caramel pretzel shake and found that quite good. If I happen to be near one of these again and I’ve got a sweet tooth then perhaps I’ll swing in for a shake, but I doubt I’ll bother to eat a meal here again.

Conveniently located in between ucf and ucf’s most attended bars. The perfect place to go to when you have had a little bit too much to drink and you need some fries and a frisco melt burger to sober you up. Food portions are small and cheap. Don’t drink and drive.

What does Steak ‘n Shake have on the other burger craze chains? Not only do they have excellent burgers and shakes, they are open 24 hours! I’ve frequented this restaurant back in my college days and still enjoy it as an adult today. The menu really caters to all ages. The burgers here are juicy and cooked just right. I am not a big fan of the fries, but my husband absolutely loves them. And don’t forget about the breakfast — they have incredibly tasty scrambled eggs and the hash browns are heaven in silver dollar form. They have added some things to their menu in recent years, such as yogurt parfaits and breakfast tacos. This particular location has very friendly staff. I’ve even seen them host weekend car washes which shows that this location goes out of their way to help out groups in the community. Another thing that I like is that I can order a shake in a kids size to-go cup. It’s less expensive and is enough to satisfy my sweets craving without all the calories. All in all, sometimes you just need a burger and shake(at 3pm or 3am) and Steak ‘n Shake is the winner.

Shakes, shakes shakes. .the best reason to come. Frisco melt is my weakness for a sandwich, with their thin fries. There were some major shortcomings with service… not greeted right away. Servers were arguing in back, seemed to be over staffed in the back of the house and short in front of the house. Two managers yet hardly in site.

I live closer to another Steak and Shake but this one had good reviews. I was NOT disappointed. Great food. Great Service. I will be going back here. Waiter was very pleasant and never let a drink go below half. Food didn’t take long at all and was hot when it came to the table. Great place! 5 stars!

The people who work here are always very nice and efficient. They aren’t quite as charming as the East Colonial location but close and like the colleagues over at East Colonial, the food is uniformly tasty. Quite frankly, both locations are evil, mainly because their delicious, artery clogging food is too easy to me to get to and scarf down with delight.

If you’ve been rocking it at one of UCF’s bars all night and are now starving for some burgers and shakes, this is the place you wanna go to for the after party. If you have a little bit of alcohol in your blood stream, nothing tastes better than some bacon burgers, jalapenos, french fries, and your favorite shake.

During the day, it’s nice. However, once the sun goes down, the drunk rowdy college crowd comes out to play. No big surprise since its so close to UCF, but having a quiet late-night meal would be a welcome commodity to the area. 4 stars during the day, but 3 at night.

Steak N Shake around Orlando is a hit or miss experience. This one, right down the road from UCF, has always been great. Aside from the fact that it is one of the nicer ones in the area as far as looks and actually being clean, the servers are extremely nice. I have not been there for late nights but I would imagine given the location that people watching would be fun. The breakfasts are wonderful and for the same price as what you would pay at the arches you can have a fresh cooked meal with coffee and service. If you have not stopped in yet, drop by the next time you are in the area.
