Waitresses are very rude, and the bartenders aren’t far behind or friendly. If they don’t know you be prepared to wait for service. I have only been there twice, and I will not return because the men restroom are always covered with water for some reason. Law suit waiting to happen.

I never used to give this place any credit but it’s actually a lot of fun. Hung out with a few of our neighbors here after the Food & Wine Festival at Lake Eola. They have tons of tables, booths, and seating at the bar. There’s a room with pool tables in the back. The fact that it’s underground it has a dark feel but there is also plenty of light. Nice décor and really friendly staff.

I LOVED this place. I went here with a few friends because there was an event happening in the vegan community and I had never heard of this place so I was a little excited. However, as soon as I got there I noticed that this was going to be a really fun time. The first thing that made me happy was the fact that it was free to get in! Yay! Now, I don’t know if it was because of the event or if it’s normally free to get in, so I would double check that before arriving. Inside, the place was really nice. There was a big enough dance floor for all my crazy moves and still give enough room for everyone else in the lounge to get down and dirty. If you’re the type that just likes to sit and people watch, then there is enough seating available for you. They have couches and chairs and booths and it’s awesome! We had the VIP section reserved for us, so that was really nice! The pool table was a huge hit with the party because everyone wanted to show off their skills… but I wasn’t too impressed. Sorry guys(love ya). The last thing I really liked about this place was the music! The guy that they had at the DJ booth was really good and he played a good variety of music. Everything was a fun combination! He played top 40’s, oldies, R&B, dance music, electro music, you name it, he played it. Overall, I had a super fun and great experience at Stardust Lounge. I was able to get down and dirty without any complaints.

Eleven friends and I went last Friday intending to stay several hours. The ambiance is great. Cool fun décor. But the bar service was slow despite it not being very busy; and the DJ was AWFUL rude. He was not interested at all in taking requests. He literally refused to make eye contact with us and kept his back turned to us. Four of us went up in the course of 30 minutes begging him to play different music because we were having a hard time dancing to the music he was playing. We were trying really hard(we are not that picky) but it was just hard to find a beat because he kept changing up the songs every 30 seconds and most of the songs were mixed such that they were unrecongizable. We spoke to a bartender and expressed our frustration and she said she would speak to the DJ. Nothing changed. We then asked to speak to a manager and she pretty much said ‘too bad, go somewhere else if you don’t like the music’. She said they are known for this type of music and that’s why people come to this bar. When we pointed out that no one was dancing, she said ‘it’s early…’ and we replied ‘but the 12 of us that are here NOW and the other 5 on the dance floor at 10:30PM don’t like the music and no one is dancing…’. So we quickly chugged our drinks and left. It makes you feel terrible as a customer, wishing you had not bothered to come at all. We went to EVE and in contrast they offered us a private VIP area, 2 comp bottles of champagne and shots of vodka. And the music was much more vibrant. What a difference. We weren’t looking for Stardust to roll out the red carpet like EVE but the blatant rudeness of the DJ and ‘too bad if you don’t like our music, go somewhere else’ attitude of the manager was a major turn off. Save yourself the frustration and skip Stardust if you’re looking for a fun night of dancing and if prompt bar service is a priority.

I made a huge mistake coming to this bar as a place for my friend I haven’t seen in 5 years to reunite with. Came here on a Thursday night, we were in good spirits starting out our night here, the bar was NOT very busy but we waited extremely long to order our drinks, on top of that the bartender was extremely rude. My friend and I decided to finish our drinks and not let her bad energy ruin our time and we still danced and chatted it up. We only stayed here a total of 45 min and the bar was empty by 11 pm. Then, the actual problem starts… the bartender«closed» our tabs and would not find our checks for us because her and her barback Chris said they automatically closed it out and added 20% gratuity. I repeatedly asked for a copy of my check which she did not provide. I was calm and friendly the entire time until they both started Yelling at me just because they didn’t want to go through their receipts to give me a copy of what my charge was since I only bought 1 drink. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 6 yrs as a high volume bartender(which means weekends I would ring in 25k in a night club on my register alone) and I’ve never added my own tip without an authorized signature. I will never come here again and I’ve discouraged everyone else I know because of how I was treated by the bartender and barback on top of the unauthorized charges to my card. Detestable people and business ethic. If I could give it negative stars I would!

This lounge is downstairs and the décor is really cool. They have some cool events such as poetry and lip synching nights on Wednesday. I had a drink with cucumber in it and it tasted pretty good. I might come back for a fun night out for poetry night but I wouldn’t come back for the drinks.

This place was pretty good. It seemed to be hard to get the waiter’s attention. They did serve pretty strong drinks that tasted pretty OK. I give it 3 stars because the atmosphere is great. there’s a giant tiki head that reaches to the ceiling.

I used to like this place appt but unfortunately they have gone downhill. The bartenders were rude and unprofessional. After paying for my drink with a 20 $ bill, the lady bartender never came back to give me the change and after asking to speak to the manager regarding this, she was the bar manager. Go figure. The leathered faced brunette bar manager proceeded to get loud and made a huge scene involving pushing my 60 year old mother. Crazy! The bartender looked extremely drunk and I’m sure that played a role in this. Never again!

Very ‘50s. Would have had 4 stars but the sign outside said $ 5 drink specials but they wouldn’t honor the sign inside. We even checked the sign for fine print and it wasn’t there.

Will say when I first walked in there was a unpleasant scent in the air but I either got used to it or it went away. The music was great, good DJ, mixed things up pretty well. Great drink selection. Bathrooms were pretty clean and bar area looked clean as well. There was an over abundance of women so for all you single men out there… Friday nights here is where you want to be. Overall was a good experience.

I always have a blast here. This is no college bar or club. It’s more casual but the kind of place you really have fun at. They play music ranging from 80’s to 2000’s but will throw a newer song in once in a while so there’s always a fun energy. The drinks are good and the shots are generous. Not the kind of place you go to meet people but a great place to misbehave with your friends.

Pro: DJ is great on Saturday nights, thats the night we went. Con: no security or management walking around. had to block a drunken creeper from harrasing some girls, and walk him away from our area. Drinks are average price for the area. The DJ makes the difference. mostly 80 – 00 hits, but he gets our of sorts for a couple of songs every hour or so. Casual atmosphere. good location.

Are you looking for a good martini? How about a bar where everyone has fun? Where most dance but dancing isn’t required. Where 60’s softcore plays on the tv screen. Everyone is your friend regardless of age, race, style. Stardust is your bar! 70’s Vegas style martini bar full of the best people Orlando has to offer. Dance like you love life!

Easily one of my favorite bars in Orlando and to me one of the best for their ambience and décor. This place is impressive! It’s like you step into a time capsule to the late 60’s mod era. Located downstairs on Central– just steps from Lake Eola, this place is a win. Best Nights? Dirty Bingo each week on Tuesday or Blue’s Burlesque show once a month are amazing fun! Crowd is generally mixed. Ample seating from booths to bar tops and some pimp couches. Back area has pool tables and a stripper pole! Make sure you take a close look at the wallpaper. Fave drink? Pineapple Upside down Cake martini. I always take anyone new/visiting to Orlando here — wow factor! Equally amazing is Aku Aku upstairs(same owner)

This was the first time I was at the basement. I was there for kinky bingo. It was a good time. Make sure you get there early or there won’t be any seats or bingo cards. This event is not for the easily offended. The host entertains you while you frantically find your BINGO. Prizes are of the adult variety and are humored throughout the set. All in all it was good time even though I only stayed for 30 minutes.

First time here last night, and was glad that I tried a new place that was also nestled around other places that I already frequent(Eola Wine, Cityfish, Shari… all a short walk away). So why 3 stars? It really is a cool looking place, would be an absolute blast for a group of people because of the swanky furniture, low lights, and low enough music to enjoy but not have to scream overtop of. I almost feel guilty when I go into a bar, and the timing of the barstaff is in that gray area where you’re having that mental conversation«if they don’t come in the next 2 – 3 minutes, I will just sneak out and go somewhere else»…and then boom, they show up. It was sort of that situation, so I don’t know how it would fare if they were busy. It was the first trip here, and would still completely go back, because the staff really were nice, and the mixed drink selection was substantial. Didn’t seem to be a substantial craft brew selection, but hey, Eola Wine is across the street, and the beers that are offered here don’t break the piggy bank.

Wow… what a little hidden gem in the underground of Orlando! I cant count the number of times I passed this place thinking it was too sketch to try… boy was I mistaken! I have now been on several occassions, some I remember more than others! I love the décor and feel of this place, retro is most definitely the word that comes to mind first. Dim but appropriate lighting, good music, cool seating, stellar staff, a hidden pocket area that holds a pool table, good drinks and apparently pretty legit burlesque shows! Usually have decent drink specials, but I usually keep it classy with the olé PBR, which might I add is a cool $ 2.50 for a tall boy. For me this place immediately brought memories of a trip to Boston in which my best memory was walking down a side alley and spotting an underground bar, which turned out to be one of the best highlights of that visit. Stardust allows me to recreate that experience anytime I reminisce. of course with out the loud Irish music and pickle back shots for all. Super fun place that is a treat for all senses… a must visit for someone seeking a little something different in the Orlando bar scene!

Stardust is one of Orlando’s happy hidden secrets for those in the know. A few blocks seperated from the Orange Ave. strip full of barely 20-somthings who have confused Orlando with the Jersey Shore, Stardust caters to a slightly older and more sophisticated crowd. No, it’s not full of people my parents age(althought there are a few folks there who may be), but it is mostly upper 20’s-early 30’s who still know how to have fun and aren’t concerned with showing off their god given talent to shoot jäger until they puke. The décor is modern ranch home meets retro 70s meets carnival. Ya… I dont really know how to describe… but it works. Its mature but still fun. Even though the crowd skews to an older demo, you’ll find it can flucuate from night to night as far as the type of crowd. Weekdays it seems there are more hipster/service industry folks escaping for a drink. Weekends more of a professional crowd. The place is very open and diverse. It’s the kind of bar where everyone is welcome… unless they’re d*bags. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the neighborhood. Drink special are on par, if not better than most downtown bars. It should be noted that the place is home to a 20’s style burlesque show produced by Orlando’s Blue Starr, and several other unique entertainment offerings that make it a great place to stop for something different. Kudos that it’s non-smoking. Especialy with the low ceilings, it would be unbareable. The only real negative I have found about the place is that some of their DJ’s dont understand how to use a volume control, and it easily gets far louder than it should. I love a good dance club, but this is not one. The space is too small and the ceilings too low to turn it up the way they do… and it just becomes too much after a while. I will say though, for anyone who has a guilty pleaure for 80’s, 90’s, early 00’s, usually their talents are spot on. Overall the place is great for anyone looking to have a night out, free from the drama entwined with a college crowd.

Went here on a Tuesday night for Dirty Bingo. We had a great time. The atmosphere was awesome and the host, Baby Blue was great. She was funny and entertaining. I reserved a table so when we got there, we just had to find the table with my name on it. You get a bingo card with every drink you buy. They even went around and sold $ 1 jello shots during a couple of rounds. Yummy! They have a couple of pool tables in the back as well. Great lounge with a vibe unlike any other.

I came here for the first time Saturday night for a birthday party. The vibe and décor is awesome. Red and black vinyl, photos of the Rat Pack and pinups, very swanky. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive, but holy cow my bar tab was $ 100 between me and my husband. Stick to whatever is on special, folks. You can get away with jeans and a T-Shirt here, but I chose to doll it up with a cocktail dress. Beers ran around $ 5 – 6 per bottle, but of course they had the old standards — PBR for $ 2.50. They have a full liquor bar and also bottle service. It was about $ 120 for a bottle of Three Olives vodka. They also serve wine and champagne by the bottle or glass. When we first got there it was very dark, but once my eyes adjusted it was appropriate. Free pool in the back room, lots of room to sit, lounge or move around and socialize. I believe it is no smoking, so as a non-smoker i LOVED that. No cover charge(we got there at 8) so that was a plus. They may have instated a cover later in the evening. They played a lot of up to date music, not the crappy pop/hip hop they play on the radio, more indie/dance style. When we walked in they were playing Cold War Kids. The parking on that end of town can be tricky. There is a garage across the street at 13 S Osceola for $ 10. Nice classy joint, but the drinks were a little too pricey for my taste.

I went here last night for the first time and loved the atmosphere! Very unique place, especially since it is underground! I wasn’t expecting any people to really be out on a Monday night, and I was definitely right. There were only two other people there when my friend and I arrived around 10:30ish. A few other people showed up a bit later, but it was mostly dead. I do not mind this if my company is good, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The music was AWESOME. lots of olides from the 50s and 60s. I am not sure if this is the case every night, but I imagine it is with the décor and feel of the place. The furniture is great… lots of neat retro couches and chairs to choose from, all by tables with candles on top. My friend and I sat on some white couches by the fake fireplace… Nice touch. I cannot comment on the drink prices, as they were being bought for me, but the lady bartender there that night was extremely friendly! She told us about some upcoming events that all sounded fun, and even personally walked us upstairs to their sister bar that has the art gallery at street level. Overall, it was a great experience! I can’t wait to go back when it’s a little more hoppin’.

I’m so shocked I hadn’t been here before. This place was super fun and right up my alley. Hidden beneath the streets of Orlando is this retro gem. They played a great selection of music. Fun for dancing. It wasn’t crazy packed(even on a Saturday) so you could actually breathe while dancing. For a more laid back atmosphere, you could play pool in the back. I loved the silhouettes denoting the ladies and men’s room. I felt the drink prices were really good for a Saturday. They have a screen playing a movie(you can’t really hear it but that’s fine). I really want to go back. I hope it holds up the second time around.
