History
Established in 2000.
The Russian Academy of Ballet was founded by Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler, former Principal Dancers and Master Teachers from the National Ballet of Ukraine. The couple moved to the United States when Fedotov and Depler were offered positions as Ballet Master and Principal Teacher at Southern Ballet Theatre (now Orlando Ballet), where they worked for three years before forming Ballet Fedotov and the Russian Academy of Ballet. In 2009, Fedotov and Depler opened the studio on Alafaya Trail, now known as Russian Ballet Alafaya, to reach the growing community on the east side of town.
