There are few stores that I walk into and feel truly impressed. The way that Peter Glenn Orlando retails their vast selection of sporting goods, especially winter goods, left me feeling impressed. Do not be fooled, as a Utah native I know my ski stuff. Peter Glenn carries something for everyone going on their next ski/snowboard trip. They have every single major brand and even some«off» brands if you’re searching for a deal. Also all the salespeople I have talked to seemed knowledgeable and helpful, nobody is overbearing and pushy, they just want to help you get what you need to go on your trip. I’m not sure why another reviewer said they charge too much, perhaps they are unfamiliar with pricing for ski and snowboard equipment. Every item in the store I saw is at or well below the MSRP. Furthermore, almost every time I go in they have good sales going on. Also, if you’re in the market for summer related sports goods they probably have it. They carry a broad range of kayak and kayaking accessories, water skis, wake boards, tubes, ropes, gloves, they even have snorkels. This is all on top of their products focused on running which feature well known brands of shoes and hydration solutions for the distance runner, and their entire wall of rollerblades. If you live in the Orlando are Peter Glenn is defiantly worth checking out. If you’re in there ask for the store manager Gary. He’s incredibly friendly and perhaps the most knowledgeable guy in Orlando when it comes to this stuff.

I enjoy the Peter Glenn store on I-Drive, full disclosure, I moonlight here as a Ski Tech. However, I doubt that has any bearing on my opinions. I’m a Colorado transplant, and when I first walked in, I was blown away by the selection I saw. I didn’t think a place like it existed in Florida. I’m not sure why the other reviews mentioned the price being so high, I found prices to be par for the industry and quality of products. Now, they do carry some high end brands, and they’ll carry high end prices. When taking my wife in to prep her for her first trip to Colorado in the winter, we were not wanting for selection. You do get what you pay for in winter clothes, and the real challenge was weighing out the use we expected to get out of things versus quality. We were able to stay on budget, and the Mrs. got what she wanted

Peter Glenn on I-drive is a difficult store to give a fair evaluation. The selection especially considering the climate in Florida is impressive, and the prices are ok(recommended retail prices). The reason for the lackluster review is visiting the store. It is not pleasant. The employees look at you like you’re trying to steal from them, and they would rather have you not coming into the store. Whenever you have looked at a jacket — 5 seconds after an employee happens to go by, and adjust/check the jacket to make sure you have not done something to it. We have been there a few times now, and we have bought items from them, but no more. I do not feel like being treated as an unwanted person — I prefer to take my dollars somewhere I feel appreciated. The reason for us going there in the first place has been to be able to try out fit and sizes before buying, but we will in the future choose alternatives.

Heely’s, Crocs, Skis, Snowboards, Hot Chilis, boots, parkas, hats, vests, rollerblades… basically if it involves the outdoors and most the chillier outdoors, this I-Drive store has it. I was blown away at all of the merchandise they had to offer. In a way it worked against the store as it felt a bit cramped. On the other hand though, the selection and variety was fantastic. I was previously looking for a nice bookbag and I had I known they carried well-known brands and for a decent price, I would have held off my purchase. I also was impressed with their children’s section. They carry almost all of the cold weather clothing for kids as they do for adults. As a sidenote, they were selling Crocs for only $ 19.99 which is about $ 10 cheaper than I’ve seen them in most other stores. As I said, the variety is pretty incredible. Take for instance their hats. You can purchase a standard cap that will certainly keep your ears warm at a normal price. Yet, they also offer Bogner knit hats with Swarovski Elements that will cost you a whopping $ 99.00. So you can either be warm or warm and fashionable when you hit the slopes this winter.
