ITDOESNTEVENEXIST. Don’t waste your gas because the address doesn’t take you to anything and the phone number doesn’t work. I’m so pissed. I really wanted chicken & waffles. Hopefully chef Edy’s is good.

Very upset. Couldn’t rate the food because we couldn’t find the place. We went to the address on here and even called the number listed and got absolutely nothing. So eventually we went based on Instagram because no information was found on Facebook. Well that lead us to downtown Orlando and still nothing. We literally went on a wild goose chase for an hour. We luckily found a farmers market to heal our hunger pains because finding this place was a lost cause.

I’ve only had chicken and waffles a handful of times because I’ve been unlucky enough to order it at places where they make it with sage(gross!) and every single time I complain and say I just want a regular sweet waffle and crispy, salty chicken. Well I have finally met my match! I ordered the OG and it was amazingggg! The waffle was perfectly sweet, fluffy with a slight crisp on the outside and the chicken had the best crunch. I noticed that one of the sandwiches on the menu came with a sriracha honey sauce and I asked for a side of it with my OG. Best decision ever! I highly recommend this place and look forward to trying different items on their menu.

Spent my Fourth of July in Avalon Park tonight & it was actually my husband who was dying to try Melissa’s Chicken and Waffles. I was like, «another take on chicken and waffles» — pretty much thinking if I’ve tried it once, twice, etc. then it’s pretty much all the same. Still, my husband really wanted to try this food truck(he LOVES chicken and waffles) and wasn’t listening to my negativity, at all. The line was fairly long, but moved quickly. He ordered The OG, which is pretty much the basic chicken and waffles for $ 8. Let’s just say I said I’d try a bite and ended up taking a few more bites than planned. I absolutely loved the way the chicken was seasoned. So much flavor. The waffle itself was delicious as well and so thick(in a very good way). I would definitely stop at this food truck again in the future. Their other menu options also sound delicious!

Best chicken and waffles in town. Very creative with many of their offerings and ordering can be intimating and fun from their large RV like food truck.

I tried the chicken and waffles with syrup at the Food Truck Bazaar at Orlando Fashion Square. This seemed to be the most popular food truck. Overall, it was just fine, nothing outstanding. The chicken reminded me of chick-fil-a chicken nuggets. It just seemed like there was something missing to tie the components together and up the flavor profile. I can see other people might like it a lot more so it’s worth trying if it strikes your fancy.

Tried these one time at Tasty Tuesdays and it was good. We got the buffalo chicken with a buttermilk waffle. It was nice and crispy topped with chicken tossed in a cayenne hot sauce(a little too much cayenne would be better with less) topped with tomato & lettuce add a little maple syrup and it was good and gone quickly. Would like to try one of their dessert waffles next time especially with all the good reviews I see on here.

It was ok but nothing to write home about. Caught up with them earlier this month at the Casselberry food truck bazaar. They had a decent line and the wait wasn’t too bad so I got the chicken and waffle with syrup on the side. I would try the ultimate the next time but I wouldn’t break my neck to get here.

Finally caught up to the chicken and waffle truck and a whole food truck bazaar on the way! I tried the OG which was a chicken waffle combo with country gravy, butter, and syrup. And my husband had the ultimate combo with chicken, a fried egg, bacon, gravy and syrup on a waffle. The food altogether was okay… but nothing that I don’t think I could make at home myself. I am a huge lover of chicken and waffles, and I feel like the waffles were nothing to write home about and the chicken, though nicely seasoned and tender, could have been breaded more. I also wish they put more gravy on the waffle/chicken combo. Next time I think I’ll get what my husband ordered(looked more unique) or I’ll try the spicy combo(smelled really good when other people received that particular order). I love supporting small mom and pop places, so I don’t mind that it’s a little pricey($ 20 for two of us to have chicken and waffles), but I wish I found it a bit more impressive.

The waffle was excellent, however I have never had a bad waffle. The real money maker about the meal was the buttermilk chicken. It’s to die for(figuratively speaking of course haha). The gravy was a great addition as well. The only bad thing I can say about this food truck is that it is only near me twice a month :(

One of my favorite trucks! A must visit at any event I see them at. I think I’ve had everything they sell and it never disappoints! Top favorites and must try’s: the ultimate waffle and buffalo waffle. Favorite dessert: chocolate and peanut butter waffle.

Short and quick review: The chicken is good. Buffalo sauce is generic(not a bad thing). The waffles are ‘meh’. The staff is fun and friendly. Tax is NOT included. The chicken seems to be the best part of any meal I’ve had here. Which is good because they seem to throw a good amount of it on there. The waffles have an odd taste, something is just a little off. It seems like they use tap water instead of filtered and Orlando has terrible tap water.

Had been wanting to try this truck for going on a year since I saw it in Longwood driving by one day. Passed it on the turnpike in May and followed it to the exit it took(coincidentally, mine). Checked online and took the wife out to dinner that night where I saw they were headed. I got the buffalo chicken one and it was good. Not the best that I’ve had, but I want to track them down and try another one or two goodies. I think this can be a 5-star place, I just need to try more!

This food truck does chicken and waffles right. I have never had them done right, so that is a plus! I tried the honey mustard and spicy chicken and waffles. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly. It was a great way to spend a lunch on the street.

This pretty much explains why we have a health problem in America. The food is great with huge portions and yummeh. I never imagined that blueberries and cheesecake on a waffle would be that good. If you’re from the west coast and have had waffles. you haven’t. these pretty much dominate anything you’ll have West of the Rockies. Crispy tasty and soft on the inside yet they don’t get mushy with the sauce. Some sort of magical formula… hopefully not created by Monsanto.

I was hoping for more when I tried Melissa’s Chicken and Waffles at the food truck round up in Apopka. I ordered the basic chicken and waffle with country gravy. How can you go wrong? The chicken had a decent flavor but wasn’t as crispy as I would have hoped. As others have said the chicken breast is sliced and laid on the center of the waffle. The gravy was bland. You are given the flimsiest fork and knife to try and cut the thing. You saw and saw away at the waffle while the knife bends. This is very frustrating to do, especially when you don’t have a proper table! I do appreciate that they make the waffles on the spot but it would speed things up if they had someone dedicated to making the waffles. As it was there was a little girl taking order and Melissa(?) was making the waffles and assembling orders. I noticed Melissa was visibly pregnant, so I do feel for her. I couldn’t imagine working in a hot crowded food truck with a pregnant belly bumping into things! Prices seem a little steep too for what you get, and considering its coming out of a truck. I believe my basic chicken waffle was $ 8 but they go up from there. I might give them another try– maybe try one of their dessert items.

The concept is great — savory and sweet waffle sandwiches. So far I have tried the Chicken and Waffle, Peanut Butter Nutella Waffle, and Blueberry Cheesecake Waffle(my favorite). All of them were delicious! I agree with Megan H that the key to the Chicken and Waffle is the gravy. It makes the sandwich ten times better. The staff has always been friendly, but my last time at the truck is what earned them five stars. We were actually in search of another food truck that we hadn’t tried yet, but they were gone. Instead we found Melissa’s and suddenly had a major craving for chicken and waffles. When we got out of the car we noticed that the window was closed, so we started getting ready to leave. The guy working that day saw us, got out of his truck, and ran over to let us know that he was packing up, but he still had an order of chicken and blueberry cheesecake if we were interested. This made our day! He could have easily let us walk away empty-handed, but instead he went out of his way to help us. Now I’m a fan for life! I believe they are normally located at 50 and Ferncreek during the day, but you can also find them at The Tastes and Sounds of Downtown on Wednesday nights, located in the parking lot behind The Club at Firestone.

Ahhh, I wanted to adore this food truck cause lord knows, I adore me some chicken and waffles. They were at the MAYhem street festival this weekend and I could not resist. The staff, awesome, friendly and efficient. They have a wide variety of options you can get with your waffle but I had to go with the basic Chicken and Waffle. They offer it with gravy but I went with the very basic syrup, the way I love it. The waffle was huge and the way you are supposed to eat it is like a sandwich but when you apply mounds of syrup and have 3 pieces of chicken on it, it’s difficult and messy. However, I tried! Only really made it halfway through. The waffle was perfect and delicious however, the chicken was pretty bland to me. It did not knock me over with flavor and was somewhat tuff. I did like that I got to add my own syrup, it was Aunt Jemima too! If the chicken was more of a filet and had more flavor, it would be easier to eat and my taste buds would be happy. I definitely think they need to add some wet wipes to their condiments section on the truck shelf cause you will be sure to need them after shoveling this tasty treat in your mouth. I will be back to try the chocolate chip specialty but I don’t think I will be back for the chicken anytime soon.

I love chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, for the longest time, it seemed Orlando didn’t share my affection. It showed up as a an occasional special-of-the-day brunch item(I was once fortunate enough to catch it at Brian’s and they did it well), and on the menu at Bananas, where I ordered it only to receive raw chicken, to my chagrin. Imagine my glee when I spotted this bright orange chicken and waffle truck at the last food-truck meetup at Fashion Square. After standing in line for a half hour only to move no more than ten feet, I gave up because everyone else in my party had already scored sufficient food from other trucks, but I vowed to catch them at a better time, and did so tonight at the Mills Avenue meetup. My wait time was less than five minutes, and what I got was a delicious waffle of standard waffle-iron size, piled high with boneless fried chicken and(at my request) gravy on one side. The truck touts itself as the«home of the waffle sandwich,» and you could def have folded this in half and eaten it that way but I’m a knife and fork girl when it comes to my c&w.(Suggestion: cover the other half in syrup!) They offer the«Ultimate» — which tops the aforementioned chicken and waffles with egg and bacon, and has«hangover cure» written all over it — and a variety of dessert waffles, as well. The person in front of me had a blueberry waffle that looked scrumptious. This truck updates locations on Twitter and Facebook regularly but doesn’t appear to have a fixed location yet. I know it’s been at the Firestone food pod on Wednesdays and at Garland/Washington on weekend late nights(til 4am!) recently.
