The food was fine(not outstanding), but the service was pretty bad. We were stuck in the hotel over a rainy conference and ate here 3 times. Dee was our server all three times and she was a little absent-minded on each occasion… forgetting our water, failing to offer bread on two of the occasions. When we asked which fish were on the sushi sampler, not only did she not know, she didn’t remember what the sushi chef told her when she went to ask him. Not impressed.

I guess this is going to be somewhat of an unpopular opinion, but I really wasn’t wow-ed by McCoy’s. Due to the fact that our flight was cancelled and we were stranded in Orlando, we ended up having to spend New Year’s Eve at the airport, so for dinner, we decided to do something more sit down, rather than just grabbing a bite to eat at the food court, so we headed over to McCoy’s. McCoy’s is located inside the Hyatt which is inside the airport on the third floor, so it was super convenient. They were able to seat us immediately, but let’s be honest now, how many people are wanting to spend New Year’s Eve at an airport? We ordered the MCO Traveler’s Trio of appetizers, which is $ 17.95 for 3 appetizers, which comes out to be just under $ 6 per appetizer. We thought, hey, maybe this will be a good deal. FALSE. It was NOT a good deal by any means. The presentation of the Traveler’s Trio is lovely. They bring out the appetizers on a three tiered display thing, but perhaps because they are limited by the size of the plates that fit on their display, the portions were rather small for the price. It is possible that we just did not order the right appetizers for the Trio, but for $ 6 per app, I just could not find a way to justify it. Appetizers: — Fresh avocado almond chicken salad: This was such a letdown. It sounded really appetizing on the menu, but what it turned out to be was just one avocado, sliced into halves, with a dollop of «chicken salad» placed in the center of each half. The taste was mediocre at best, and the portion was tiny. — Spring rolls: THIS. THISWASTHEWORST. I can’t believe that we paid $ 6 for this($ 7 if we had just ordered it by itself). The plates came out and we were presented with 2 of the tiniest«spring rolls» you have ever seen. I was so amused that they gave us a giant cup of dipping sauce for them, because how in the world did they expect us to use all of that sauce for two spring rolls that were barely the width of two of my fingers put together?(And no, I do not have fat fingers). I was not wow-ed by the taste either. You could probably buy an equivalent tasting spring roll in the frozen section of your local supermarket. — Calamari: Calamari is calamari. Here, it was calamari, just less of it and on a smaller plate. Because according to Chinese culture, you’re supposed to eat fish on New Year’s for good luck, we ordered some sushi(Crispy tuna roll and rainbow roll) to go with our appetizers. This was also a disappointment because the sushi was pretty average and overpriced for what we got. But really, why would we go to a place called«McCoy’s Bar and Grill» and expect good sushi? My sister and I ordered a mango smoothie to split. It was incredibly sour, but did taste like it was actually made with real mango. But as with all the other things at McCoy’s, it was so overpriced. tl;dr: Maybe we just didn’t order the right things, but I was not at all impressed with McCoy’s. It was very average and overpriced for what you got. I know airport/hotel prices are normally inflated, but I am still smarting over those $ 6-$ 7 spring rolls.

Great Food and Service!!! First time at the Hotel. Crawfish soup is delicious, very tasty. As per our server –Mark– we also tried the soup of the day, which result in a real tomato soup. Portions are very good, you must try the house made bread, so good. Service was excellent, is great when you find people that love what they do like Mark. Oops Dessert are awesome!

What a surprise. We had a delayed flight and decided to wander the pre-security area before going to the gate too early. We rolled up the escalator to The Hyatt and were thrilled to find a nice lounge area to sit for a moment. Checked the reviews for McCoy’s on Unilocal and went«let’s eat there». Glad we did. Far exceeded expectations for a hotel restaurant attached to an airport terminal. Sushi options were incredible and my wife loved the bento box. I had the grass fed burger and it too was delicious. Good beer selection, I had a local red ale, and great service. We’d gladly eat here again when at MCO.

Very pleasantly surprised at this hotel restaurant. The menu was huge and there were a lot of healthy and tasty options available. They have a separate kids menu as well. We went to the bar to put in an order for takeout and it was ready in 20 minutes. Bartenders were very friendly. The kids quesadilla was pretty delicious — I had to stop myself from eating all of my kid’s food. They also carried Horizon chocolate and 2% white milk(no whole). The salmon salad was very tasty, and even in the takeout box the salmon was cooked properly. The chicken salad was also good. Both came with dressing in little containers. The only complaint is that the portions were small for entrée salads. It had enough proteins, but lacked in the actual greens! Thanks for a fresh, healthy go to during our stay at the airport!

Completely unexpected to find this gem in a hotel/airport. Amazing sushi and crab cakes. Top-notch service from Rich. One of the best meals I’ve had in years.

What a pleasant surprise! «Hands down» the best place to get away from the hustle and noise of MCO while you are waiting for a flight is McCoys. There is a comfortable vibe here, and because the food and service is high quality and the food and drink are reasonably priced, I am very happy to give this establishment a 5 star rating. Wines by the glass are good choices and not too overpriced, especially with respect to the California choices for wines and beers. My Sierra Nevada was of course ice cold, and my chicken quesadilla was made fresh and hot. The pico de gallo and guacamole we both made today and were both full of flavor. My Sierra Nevada and the quesadilla cost 12 bucks without tip. A pleasant bargain for sure… Next time I am coming through Orlando, I’ll come back to enjoy this terrific oasis in the Hyatt Regency.

McCoy’s is a non-fast-food option for dining in the Orlando International Airport. It’s located inside the Hyatt within the airport, not too far from the lobby. We had plenty of time leading up to our flight the other day so we stopped here for some lunch. The restaurant was fairly quiet during our visit. I really enjoyed the décor, and liked the yellow/green/brown color scheme throughout the space. Our server was very friendly, efficient, and professional. The food was overall very good. I ordered the Cobb Salad. They didn’t put the dressing in the bottom of the bowl(where our server said it would be so we could toss the salad together) but he quickly brought me a side of dressing when I let him know it was missing. I enjoyed the salad once it was dressed :) My sister loves the Waldorf salad, and has ordered it here on a previous visit. Another dining companion tried the pick three appetizers option, which is a bit pricey but offers great variety. She enjoyed her choices overall. My nephew had the turkey burger without a bun. The patty looked like it had lots of stuff in it, as in it was not a straight turkey burger. I’m not sure what was mixed into the meat, maybe veggies, but he didn’t seem to like it because it wasn’t the standard burger patty he was expecting. I didn’t try it myself though so I can’t really comment. We had a nice lunch prior to our flight. The service was quick and efficient and we were in and out in about 45 minutes or so, which isn’t bad for a sit down meal.

I don’t say this lightly… this was hands down the best airport food experience, and one of the top 5 best lunch experiences of my life. The service was second to none(ask for Keith), he was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was perfectly prepared, with fresh flavors and excellent presentation. I had and recommend the MCO Traveler’s Trio, I had the Thai Chicken tenders, the spring rolls and the avocado chicken salad. Superb. The atmosphere was great, you feel like you are in the Admiral’s Club.

An absolute gem! A fantastic restaurant and the best airport hotel restaurant I have ever had the opportunity to enjoy. The service is great, the food was impeccably prepared. I know it’s at an airport but believe me the sushi is to die for! Spicy edamame app was great and the salmon was perfectly prepared. This is my new place in MCO to grab a bite before a flight.

Great stop at MCO if you have time before your flight. Request a booth and charge your devices while eating great food and enjoying well crafted cocktails in a sophisticated setting. Crawfish chowder is as good as they say. Try it! A little pricey, but worth it to get away from the masses and enjoy some calm. Great friendly service too!

If you ever have a long layover at this airport, do yourself a favor & eat here. It’ll cost a little bit more than the restaurants on the airport level, but it’s nice, quiet & you get real food with quality ingredients! I choose the 3 starters combo, which came on cute tiered display. My husband got the bento box. I was pretty jealous once I saw it. I tried everything of his & ate my starters, everything was great! His came with a miso soup, so we added one for me & it was a delicious miso! Their homemade bread was delicious too. Since we had a long layover, we had plenty of time for a few cocktails too. So glad we drank up there. I had some awesome cocktails with fresh fruits & a lot of booze in them, the hubby had a delicious Cabernet. Couldn’t have found anything that compared on the airport level! We didn’t get a burger, but the kitchen was sending them out like crazy & they looked delicious!

McCoy’s restaurant, located at Orlando International Airport inside a hotel is inviting, but the food and service leave a lot to be desired. I have rarely visited a restaurant where everything from the appetizer to dessert tasted old, made a few days ago, cold and unappetizing. The assistant manager came to the table and explained in detail why everything tastes bad or why it was not fresh or made so many hours ago. He agreed that he would not eat the items I ordered and that some are about to be taken off the menu, but need a push from complaining customers. Wow! Do you really need to wait that long when you know something tastes bad and noone raves about it??? Seriously, get a grip on your business. I am convinced one more time that a higher priced menu has nothing to do with taste or quality of the food. Never again. I advise you save yourself the trip.

Heyyyyyy macarana! You stink… My waitress was macarana and boy… was she unpleasent. She was awful. This place is so pretty and nice inside you would think their servers are semi nice. At least one isnt. And it’s this devil of a lady you suck mam. So if you find time to eat and wanna spend it here and you see this lovely lady… just grab the next ticket and fly out of orlando. Save yourself. … Anywhoo! Besides the crap service the food was good! We ordered the Cuban sandwich which I believe came with turkey ham and roast beef… some sauce. Pickles on a yummy crunchy chibatta. mmmm it was delicious. A good send off back to California. 8.5÷10 We also ordered the spicy shrimp. Wanted to get something healthy ish. It was okay. It was tiny pieces of shrimp with one or two of them having a hint of spice. Just regular tiny cold shrimp nothing special. 5⁄10 The place did look great especially for being in an aiport. Impressed. Not impressed with my service. You suck lady. Go away.

I had three hours to chill out at the Orlando airport and rather than sit in the SkyClub, I headed over to McCoy’s and had a «full» bowl of their excellent crawfish chowder. After getting a lot of guilt from folks about the shortage of crab, I felt no guilt knowing that there are loads and loads of crawfish and this big bowl that was chock full did nothing to deplete the huge stock of these tasty shellfish treats. Maybe a little too much black pepper but otherwise very creamy and very tasty. The table where I sat had two very easily accessible power outlets, as did several other tables in the area. Free wifi — not sure if it was the hotel or the airport — worked well. And after the soup(and a tasty adult beverage) were gone, my waitress didn’t mind me sitting there for another hour. Got time on your hands? Hit McCoys. Take the escalator up one left, hang a right. There it is. You’ll thank me later. Tidbit: McCoy’s(and MCO) are named after the predecessor for Orlando airport, McCoy Air Force Base.

We are stuck in Orlando after a magical trip to Disney and I’m sick with a cold and our flight is mega delayed. We’re cranky. And then my husband finds this place… dinner is our only hope. Game changer! Chicken noodle soup better than a jewish grandmother could ever make. It had egg noodles AND matzo ball inside with this amazing broth that had the best flavor. I also ordered a Ceasar salad that had tons of flavor and the server offered to make me a half sized portion when i said I wasn’t feeling the whole entrée. Hubby got a burger and a beer with great flavor of a jam and carmelized onions. We even got a chocolate ganache cake for dessert because when you are sick and stuck at the airport… why wouldn’t you get dessert?! Great service… highly recommend the chicken soup. Huge portion too. It was absolutely delish :)

As McCoy’s was right inside the hotel I was staying, I thought I would check it out before going outside the hotel to the airport terminal to look for some food. I asked the staff at the entrance to show me the menu and when I saw it, the first thing came into my eyes was«SUSHI»! then I saw«Hiro’s Omakase Bento Box». I was thinking of Chick-fil-A or Panda Express dinner but I got attracted to the sushi bar inside this American restaurant. There was a true Japanese sushi chef at the sushi bar and we chatted a little bit in Japanese. He was a very nice man. I ordered a glass of California Pinot Noir and the Omakase Beto Box. The wine was very good. The bento box had appetizer salad, agedashi tofu, 3 pieces of tuna sashimi, veggie rolls and miso soup.($ 28) It was tasty and well balanced nutrition wise, but the value wise, I thought $ 28 was a little too high. But because this is inside a Hyatt Regency and not an individual restaurant, a lot of costs are added to the price, which I understand. The selection of the fish for sushi here is rather limited. They had tuna, salmon, yellow tail, octopus, and maybe one or two more only. You can order sushi and various kinds of rolls not only inside the restaurant but at the lobby lounge right outside the restaurant as well. Anyway, it is very conveniently located when you are in the mood for sushi at Orlando Airport. I will definite go back.

McCoy’s is located inside of the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. I stopped in at McCoy’s for lunch after checking in to my room at the Hyatt Regency. I sat at the bar — after looking the menu over, and the bartender gave me some info on his recommendations, I opted to try their Crawfish Chowder. It comes in two sizes — a cup and a bowl. I decided to try the cup first as some times I find that Chowders can be very filling. I’m glad I only opted for the cup. It was absolutely delicious! It had a nice bit of spiciness to it, and was filling! I asked the bartender for some hot sauce — he brought out Tabasco — which I am not a fan of. I asked about Sriracha sauce — they did have that and he brought some out in a small ramekin. The Chowder did not really need it — but I love adding hot sauce to creamy soups — and so it made it even better! There are a couple of large flat panel HD TVs behind the bar — I watched a bit of analysis of the 2014NFL Draft while eating. Good place for a meal or a drink! Service was good!
