Went in at 10 pm they close at 11pm, we sat down, everybody that worked there saw us, but ignored us, never came to table, didnt even acknowledge us… so we didn’t even get to try… well, anything… nothing. zip…we left… The End

I love oysters… This place by far has the best oysters around… The cocktail sauce is amazing. Benny our shucker/​server was awesome!!! Ask for a oyster shot!!! Very good Peel and eat shrimp too!!!

We stopped here last night on our way to the hotel from the airport. We’d found the excellent reviews on Unilocal and wanted to try Lee and Rick’s. Delicious, unique, and a fun experience!
We sat at the bar and ordered 1 dozen raw oysters, jalapeño poppers, fries, king crab legs, and the smoked fish dip.
We loved everything we ordered!!!
We’ll be back on our next visit.

The best oyster experience I have ever had! After my boyfriend has dreamed and dreamed about getting freshly shucked oysters we stumbled upon this place on help and were determined to go while on vacation in Orlando.
The place is in the middle of no where-​The Über driver said not to go five blocks back from here unless we were interested in prostitutes and drugs. The place is shaped like a little boat– It appear to be super small from the outside but its decently sized. .
We went in and got in line for a wait which was roughly 20 minutes. We sat at the bar and ordered a bucket of oysters, a ½ lb of clams, and 20 piece crispy shrimp.
The oysters were shucked one by one in front of us. Our server was funny and shucked very quickly. We devoured the oysters complete with saltine crackers, cocktail sauce, horse radish, and hot sauce. The calms were steamed, nothing special, but enjoyable. And the shrimp and fries were very tasty and filled us up.
This is a unique and delicious experience, Disclaimer: not for fancy people who require there oysters plated in gold– Would definitely come again ;)

Oyster heaven! The best oysters ever!
Lee and Ricks is definitely a dive bar… but it doesn’t matter because their seafood is awesome! I also enjoy the dive bar experience because living in Las Vegas, everything is new and trendy.
We came here for lunch on a Saturday about 11:30am. I hear it gets pretty busy, but since they just about opened, it wasn’t that busy.
Their special were a bucket of oysters (about 2 dozen) for $ 25, but it’s for the bar only. I got my oysters steamed. The guys will shuck your oysters for you. If they’re steamed, they’ll shuck a few as you go. Oysters come with a side of hot melted butter, lemon juice, hot sauce, and cocktail sauce. Put everything I just mentioned on that oyster (and/​or crackers) and it is simply amazing! Your taste buds will love you!
I also tried some crawfish as well. It’s no Hot N Juicy, but still good. Sprinkled with some old bay and comes with a side of hot melted butter.
Seriously if I lived in Florida, I would be here every Saturday!

Is this Orlando or Apalachicola? Fantastic oyster bar with authentic ambiance. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just super food and terrific, friendly service. Fresh shucked Oysters by the bucket and keep em coming. When you’ve had enough raw try the fried shrimp. Big and crunchy. Only complaint last visit was the ‘80s rock blasting at lethal decibels. Totally unnecessary but it was turned down as soon as we asked. Classic place.

I’ve lived in the Orlando area for over fifteen years and had never made it to Lee and Rick’s until this past Friday. Now I’m sad I didn’t come sooner — it’s a very unique experience.
We arrived around 5:30 and found the parking lot kind of empty; an anomaly, from what I understand. The outside of the the restaurant looks like a ship, taking the «dive bar» concept to a whole new level — the port holes inside the hallway are also a nice touch. Friends had told us about what to expect, so the smell and look of the bar did not bother us at all. The food is outstanding, but if you’re expecting five star accommodations, prepare yourselves.
We immediately strolled up the bar and ordered a bucket of oysters, one pound of shrimp, and fish dip. Our server T.J. was quick and personable, and got us all our food and drinks in under five minutes. He also shucked with incredible speed. I’m now convinced that it is an art form.
The fish dip, recommended by a friend, stood out to me because it was a combination of chunks and shredded fish. It was delicious, but I wish the portion was bigger. Our bucket contained somewhere between thirty and forty oysters, which felt like the deal of the century for $ 25. It came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, hot sauce, and a long package of crackers. The streamed shrimp basket, covered in old bay seasoning, were choice.
The really nifty thing with the bar is that you can just dump your trash over the side into a little moat that funnels down into a trashcan. No worrying about what to do with your empty shells and napkins. Also, you can apparently only order buckets of oysters at the bar, so do sit there over a table if that’s your thing.

Great fish dip and clam strips, didn’t get a chance to try the oysters but the couple to my right had them and they shucked them right in front of them. I would love to see this place at night…

So much fun… stepping back to the 1950s’ and sitting at the concrete bar that’s been painted 100 times over the years. It seems a different shade of blue every year when we make our annual pilgrimage. Top it off with the proverbial sassy blonde waitress and someone to shuck as many oysters as you can eat washed down with your favorite beer and you have a perfect place for lunch or dinner.

Definitely a little hole in the wall kind of restaurant. I am not an oyster eater but I saw they had corndogs so I went by to try them out. It was not that busy and they had a mixture of different people inside. The service was pretty slow, we waited about 30 minutes to get our food; which was only fries and corn dogs. I think they are more focused on seafood, so they push those orders out a bit faster. Overall it was not bad, The fryer grease could have been changed but it wasn’t horrible. The price was pretty cheap for what we got, so I can not complain too much. I will probably go back again if I’m looking for fried food at cheap prices. Also I must add I enjoy mustard on my corn dogs and they do not have mustard at all inside the restaurant which I found to be kind of odd.

We wanted something that was not a chain and would satisfy a Florida girl when it came to raw oysters and seafood. We were not disappointed in this place! We bellied up to the oyster bar with our three kids and ate until we couldn’t eat any more. Great service and we didn’t have to change clothes after a day at Disney!

Warning: This is a dive! They really could work on the presentation; I’m certain they would entertain many more patrons. It feels really sketchy walking up, entrance not lit very well, and not inviting at all. Inside, it’s smelly (which I assumed it would being that it’s an oyster bar); however, the stains on the walls made me cringe. I also received a cracked plastic beer mug; luckily I did not cut my lip!
Nonetheless, the server was super nice and attentive; especially, if you’re into handsome country men. The first dozen oysters ordered were small; however, the second round were plump and delicious!
If they cleaned up just a bit, it could be fantastic!

This is my boyfriend’s and my favorite place to get raw oysters. The service is friendly and the oysters are as fresh as they get in central Florida. It gets a little busy over the weekend so to make the most out of your experience, it’s best to come at off hours.

Visited here for their 65^th anniversary which is awesome considering they’ve been open since 1950 in Orlando. On their anniversary they occasionally (not every year) offer two-​for-​one buckets of their flagship menu item-​buckets of oysters. So as you can imagine that sort of bargain brought out *all* the bivalve lovers in Orlando. The wait was over an hour on a Wednesday night and this was to be expected. The entry way (which I had a lot of time to look at) is interesting, it’s like walking on board a ship. It’s a little dark and dank, and there are seafood smells wafting out of the «portholes» that let you view the oyster bar while waiting in line. A suggestion: let people waiting in line order drinks. So many people waiting wanted something while they waited, this is an opportunity that has been untapped here. Liked that there was some vintage/​historical photos of the founders, Leah and Rick. I should mention that the exterior of the building looks like a ship and the inside resembles a long bar with some booths and tables too. There is a lot of sea life related kitsch on the inside. So this is a 65 year old ship that borders on being divey, but that’s a good thing.
When we were seated at the oyster bar I was confounded at how basic and gritty the oyster process is… you order oysters and hunky guys with Popeye size forearms bring you the buckets and drop them off sort of in a trough area below the bar counter. I was panicked… how an I supposed to eat my oysters there? I can’t reach! These guys (and I saw one woman) will delicately and expertly stand there and shuck oysters for you, one by one, then place them on the angled oyster bar for you. Honestly, I felt like I was getting some special treatment or something, but this is just how the place works for everyone. They also have pitchers of beer that are pretty inexpensive, so we ordered one to share.
With the oysters you get a sleeve of Saltine crackers, lemon juice in a squeeze bottle, clarified butter, horseradish, ketchup, salt, pepper, and hot sauce (by the way, I think real lemon slices would taste better). There are no plates at the oyster bar, just you and your oysters and condiment cups. This is the part that blew my mind, when you’re done with the oyster shells you just push the shells over the back side of the bar into the trough. The process is so raw and fun. Know this, you will feel messy and splattered with oyster juice a little. I love that the napkin holders are mounted overhead. I wouldn’t wear anything too nice or bother with wearing any jewelry because it’s going to get juicy. I asked our shucker and the oyster sizes vary, so a bucket can be from 2 – 3 dozen depending on their size. One bucket is plenty for an average appetite. There are other seafood items on the menu, but the night we went it was steamed or raw oysters only that were being served. I would definitely come back again. The oysters are super fresh and the experience was very lively and fun. For those that didn’t enjoy this place, it’s not for everyone. If you don’t like seafood or if you sit at a table the experience is not the same. By the way, I suspect the joy stick on the Ms. Pac Man machine smells weird, so proceed with caution if you decide to play :)

Man oh man, the oysters are huge! And I mean huge! This is a little hole in the wall with a whole lot of history… service was great and the oysters were good. They have their own homemade cocktail sauce, and the best way to go is the bucket of oysters! We also got some calamari, and it was good as well. The only bad I have to say is really not even that bad, only that the oysters are so big, they are hard to eat. If you’re ever in Orlando, fl… this place is a must!

Very authentic seafood place. It’s a local favorite that people that are not from around here like myself come to. The atmosphere is not fantastic but that can at times be a sign of a very good restaurant.
The oysters are very good as was the crab. We also started with the shrimp that had great taste. The concrete bar was awesome to eat at. We finished with Key Lime pie that was also excellent.
All in all, I would come back to this place and bring friends here.

If you love Oysters this is the place to be. We drove from Tampa and I wasn’t disappointed to see the place and even what they have to offer. They have a bucket of Oyster at the bar only for 25 dollars and weighs about 3 lbs. Me and my friends split 2 buckets of Oyster and to tell you honestly we nailed it!
One thing like is that they shuck the oyster in front of you. Very interesting and the guys are awesome or I would say amazing!
Definitely will come back and refer it to friends. Actually I already did!

When you talk about hole in the wall GEMS, this place by far is the definition!
came here after constantly hearing the misses wanting to go back to Orlando to come here to satisfy her oyster cravings and this place certainly lived up to the bill. Our server/​shucker Xavier was the best. As the restaurant traffic was surprisingly light on a Sunday, we basically were treated to our own personal shucker for our entire meal. As there were two in our party who were newbies (including myself) our personal shucker thoroughly explained to us the menu and the history of the place. I’ve never been to a true oyster bar and holy cow I saw THE biggest oyster in my life which was as big as my fiancée’s hand!
We ordered a bucket of oysters for $ 25 and between 4 of us killed the bucket in no joke 5 mins! They provided us with cocktail sauce, lemon juice & a full packet of saltine crackers. Xavier was attentive to our party the whole time and the best!
If you’ve always wanted to experience a true hole in the wall oyster bar you have got to check this place out! An Orlando staple since the 1950s! What an awesome experience and we will def be coming back again!!!

I have to say, I stopped going to Lee and Ricks for 3 – 4 years because I felt like they were going downhill. Cleanliness was definitely not the emphasis, oysters were just bad, and roaches crawling on the floor,
Fast forward 4 years later and I can honestly say they have improved. The staff are friendly and fast, oysters are of better quality, and the place is much cleaner than before (could be cleaner). The oysters are sourced anywhere from the Gulf. I enjoyed 2 buckets of Louisiana raw oysters for about$ 55. No joke, the oysters were size of my palm!

Don’t be fooled by it’s looks. Lee and Ricks is a – practically historical – staple! Made for those who are no-​nonsense about their oysters and beer, this place gives you quality without all the fluff. Oyster lovers go to the bar and buy ‘em by the bucket with a $ 7.00 pitcher to boot! (They offer a half pitcher as well but if you’re with friends why not just split the whole thing?) Shuckers are knowledgeable of their oysters and are fast at what they do.
Just be warned that they can be so busy at times that there will be a wait for the bar, and while their is a «to go» option it will sometimes be unavailable as the priority is to have enough to maintain the bar. They get shipments of oysters practically every or every other day if I do recall though.
Another thing to note is on their anniversary they have specials for reduced rates on buckets! So if you really like your oysters but have to maintain a budget and know you’ll eat buckets to no end, wait for their upcoming 65^th anniversary and splurge! In the past it’s been 2−4−1 deals on buckets ;)
Sadly I cannot comment on table-​seated service as I’ve always been true to the bar for buckets, but if it’s anything like the oyster bar it’s fast and dependable.
