Great place to get all your herbs, spices, oils, etc. for an affordable price. I liked the fact that there are containers you can buy to make your own blends of all natural products such as deodorants and lip balms. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I will be coming back!

Great local herbal/​aromatherapy/​holistic shop! They just moved to a larger location a few shops down and it’s wonderful. I see they are branching out into foods as well which makes me excited and nervous all at the same time. I grab oils from them now and again and love their containers. Worth a drop in to see what they are all about.

If you like holistic medicine, you’ll love Leaves and Roots. If you are into organic products, you’ll love Leaves and Roots. If you have the slightest bit of hippie in you, you’ll love Leaves and Roots! The shop is a bit of a hike from downtown, but it is packed with essential oils, herbs, teas, crystals, rocks, salt lamps, holistic medicine, organic products, and containers for measuring and mixing your own blends and brews. To top it all off, their staff is very knowledgeable and can make recommendations for certain ailments or needs.
They are in a more spacious and open location and there is lots of room to browse. Check out their drawers of essential oils (ranging in quality) and larger bottles of hemp oil, macadamia nut oil, etc. They have different diffusers for your oils along with bundles of sage and other herbs for the home.
Scope out their drawers of dried herbs and check out their tea blends. They have so many different types promising to help with energy, fatigue, women’s issues, etc. Their staff is very helpful and will gladly walk you around the store to show you different options or make recommendations depending on what you need. It’s a hippie’s paradise!

Extremely knowledgable. A huge local resource and exactly the type of grassroots businesses we should be supporting — especially this day and age.
I started going here a few years ago when I was in college. The ClayBrite toothpaste blows synthetic whitening toothpaste out of the water and I love the hair & skin products.
The herb blends like brain mix, ultra male and liver mix are my favorites. Clearer thinking, more energy, better skin and overall a healthier feeling.
I wish more people would take charge of their health these days and this is a great, affordable first step. Go Leaves and Roots!

If you are into aromatherapy, making your own skincare, vitamins, herbal supplements, local honey, etc. then this is the place for you. Amazing selection and there’s always someone to answer questions or just chat with. I buy my essential oils here and also they have pre mixed supplements for whatever ails you.

Amazing store for all natural (read: witchy) finds of a wide variety! I go for the essential oils, which are kept at room temp in a drawer system on the right side of the store. I make candles at home using the oils, and I have found nearly every one I need at Leaves and Roots. (The ones they don’t carry you can find on Amazon for relatively cheap, but it’s so much more satisfying to shop local!) The oils are bottled in dark, glass jars to preserve their integrity and protect them from sunlight, which can prematurely break them down. The ladies recently added dropper tops to all the oils too, which is super convenient for my purposes.
In addition to the oils, they have a huge selection of herbs ranging anywhere from raw stevia and cajun seasoning to colon cleansing blends and bottled black cohosh (which helps women going through menopause.) I haven’t taken time to explore all the tea blends and spices but the selection is extensive. Also grab New Agey treasures of all kinds here like Himalayan salt lamps, healing rocks corresponding to zodiac signs and chakra balancing, and aroma and color therapy candles. (I bought ones for peace, creativity, and healing on my last visit. Fun!) Spend $ 100 and get 10% off of your whole purchase :)

Amazing store

I walked into the store and tripped because I could not take my eyes off the HUGE selection, of neatly displayed herbs in-​cased in jars. Each jar was labeled and a brief description was available.
They sell bulk herbs, and some premixed pills. I tried the energy mix, and the chill pill. The chill pill definitely works for me. The energy mix however didn’t do such a good job i assume this is because coffee, no doz, and red bull don’t work either. I have a feeling I’ve taxed that stimulation area to retirement.
They also have perfume oils, one of my fav scent that I usually have to trek to the flea market for was here!!! and the scent was spot on!
They also carry supplies for you to use the herbs. I bought some cloth like tea bags that are still holding up like new after many uses.
I really love this place and would recommend it to anyone.

First, I can’t even remember how I ran upon this store but once I entered, it was difficult not to make it a regular stop while I’m in Orlando-​weekly, sometimes more. The amount and quality of product is outstanding & the staff have always been attentive and very helpful. Even via email and phone. I’ve been there when there are only a few people and when the store seems packed, in an «allof a sudden» way… they’ve never failed to make sure everyone is being helped and in as timely a manner as possible.
They offer a wide range of bulk herbs, bulk spices, herb & herb blends in capsules & powder, herbal extracts (tinctures mostly from Herb Pharm), herbal teas, Ginseng, essential oils. capsules, incense, resins, aromatherapy supplies, soaps, containers, body care & books. They also offer certified organics when available and are marked with a CO on the bags. I also think it’s fabulous that herbalist teach classes there on different days etc.

I am quite sure I will be here often. Think of it as a natural medicine shoppe. An herbalist has created medicinal blends of teas and herbs to help the body heal. I love that the blends are clearly marked for condition.
So, if you have issues with cholesterol, hypertension, or even if you just want bigger boobs (the bustin out mix), there is a blend for you! I was able to try the fresh royal jelly here as well. The staff member says it tastes like cum (this is what she says – true story) so I HAD to try some before I left the store.
In addition to medicinal blends, containers, educational books, other loose herbs and teas, incenses, and more can be found here. Some of the herbs are given in capsule form, and not in tea blends.
I was helped by a knowledgeable staff member who was able to give me guidance for my specific issues.

The lady working when we stopped in was so rude we left almost immediately. They may have a great stock, but I guess I will not know.

Love this place! Can’t remember how I found it first time, but they got everything I want, even the mugwort that I wanted due to some bizarre reason.
People there were also very helpful too, love love it! Definitely a gem in Orlando.

Alright kids, time to gather ’round and hear a tale of a wondrous place hidden in a tiny strip just past Ekon on Colonial.
You wouldn’t think much of the place looking at it from the outside, and your first reaction might be to think: «What the heck is this place anyway? Some kind of plant store?»
But upon walking in (Watch your step! No seriously, I’ve seen people trip on that steep bit of stair) You’re suddenly hit the pleasant aroma of burning incense and the sound of soft music playing in the background, and so the fun begins…
Like Dana H. Said; they’ve got a VERY extensive variety of natural herbs and teas. Teas for things you wouldn’t even think of like «blood pressure» and «Insomnia.» As well as your usual ‘earl grey’ and ‘oolong’ .
I am personally very pleased with the fact that Orlando has a shop that offers an aid to such ailments. It gives people a choice to go natural as opposed to having to think that their only option is to head straight for meds.
There are some interesting types of teas that I’d be willing to buy if I knew what they’d taste like. I really wish they’d do tea sampling on the weekends or something. I think that would get people excited about what they have to offer.
As far as prices are concerned; my 1oz blend runs at $ 1.90… No kidding. You simply can’t beat it.

So the next time you’re driving down Colonial and you see that hippie looking store with a poster of a model next to it who looks like she’s doing a commercial for Colgate white strips, but she’s holding a gyro in her hand and in big bold letters it says «EAT MORE GYROS» You’ll know that your in the right place… Which reminds me, I gotta bookmark that gyro place…

This place is awesome. I live right up the road and I never thought to hop in and check it out. A friend took me there today and I was highly impressed.
Leaves and Roots sells a variety of natural herbs, vitamins, and teas. They have everything — from more common things like spearmint, to rarer items like devil’s claw. The place is extremely organized, with all of the loose herbs put into little baggies and contained in labeled jars that are stacked on shelves. You can buy most herbs in 1 oz. or 2 oz. bags. If you don’t want the loose stuff, they also have caplets. If you want, you can even buy empty capsules and fill them with your own mix of herbs. The prices are also excellent… you will definitely get a deal if you buy herbs here instead of Whole Foods for example.
The other side of the shop has an array of incense, oils, and other «goodies.» I had fun just wandering around and seeing all the cool stuff. Plus, it smells heavenly in the store. Like incense and health. :)
I was super excited to find a 16 oz. bottle of local wildflower honey (from right off of SR-​520!) for $ 9.00. Great for allergies…
The best thing about this store is the knowledgeable and friendly staff. They know their stuff and they will help you in any way that they can. They have a table up front with various books and references that you can use to find out what certain plants and herbs do. They even have a free copier that you can use (drop a buck in the donation bucket if you have one!).
Basically, this place is a hidden local gem. If you’re into natural health or you’re just curious about being healthier… this is a great place to start!
FYI — they take debit cards. They also take credit if you’re spending over $ 10.00.
