Jade Bistro

Normally I like their food. However today they left out my white rice. I picked up the food for carry out. I got home and realize I was missing the white rice. I called and within 15 minutes the white rice with cheesecake was delivered to me. My biggest problem was I started to eat the summer roll and bit into a staple. They then accused me of being drunk. Which I am not, I have suffered a stroke. I could personally care less about the price of their food I hope they choke on it. I did not want a refund. I will never dine here again. Be careful of stapes in your food if you dining here.

Very nice and relaxing environment; delicious food. I had the calamari which was amazing; the pad Thai and sushi were very tasty. Friendly staff! Will come back.

Don’t listen to the reviews that say the older reviews are not as accurate… I have been ordering from Jade’s for a few years now, and new owners or not, I have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent and super fast. You really can’t go wrong with anything that you order at Jade’s because it will be fantastic!

Just a quick note to anyone reading this, Jade is under new ownership than some of the older reviews so they aren’t really accurate. My boyfriend and I are serious sushi snobs and the first time we came to jades over a year ago, it wasn’t that great but boy have they improved! The sushi is very fresh, they have some cool roll ideas and the service is great too. I highly suggest giving Jades a try!

So. I thought this restaurant turned a corner after the change of ownership … I was wrong. I attempted to order take out. Soup and rice, yes JUST soup and rice for one person. 25 minutes she says. Forget it I say and she had zero care. Sad

Jade has something so incredible delicious that I will drive 45 minutes just to eat it. They have the best honey garlic chicken and Mongolian beef around. They use thin slices of white meat chicken that’s been lightly fried and wok toss with ALOT of garlic and honey. I usually ask for it extra spicy to get my perfect blend of sweet, spicy, crispy and down right delicious. In fact, I think I may just go get one later today after I write this review.
Mongolian beef is so damn tender, the beef literally melts in your mouth. Also tossed with onions and scallions that get to the point where it’s almost caramelized but still crunchy. There is also sushi which is also excellent. Quality, presentation and creativity is on point. There’s usually different fish they get so just ask!
Service is excellent ! Quick and friendly. I believe once the décor gets upgraded Jade will be a force to reckon with in college park. Go check them out !

I’ve dined there with my family a couple of times. And the food and service is quite amazing. Our kids were being loud and nobody said a thing. But considering the fact that the other diners weren’t there to hear our kids. So we moved outside where there wasn’t a person and most of the other customers came to say thank you. Back to the food, I like their fried rice it isn’t dry like the other or most places. The beef menu isn’t bad either so is the chicken menu. The only think is that they have limited desserts to offer. But overall their food and sushi is good. Also an Anchorwoman from WKMG-​Local 6 goes there for her Chinese food or sushi after I recommended it to her. They might need to change the interior design of the place it looks gloomy but other than that I really like it.

We get takeout from here at least once a week. Happy with everything. The Singapore me fun is the best in town as well as the wonton soup. Tofu with vegetables are great and so are their spring rolls.

Coming here for lunch with my girls from work, I really good food, closed to the office and good price! Very clean place and good service. I’m definitely come back here.

Jade Bistro is a decent place to go for lunch. The service is good and atmosphere is nice. The food is ok. I had the General Tso Chicken. It’s supposed to be a spicy dish, it wasn’t. I’m not sure about anyone else. But in the past including recently, by the time my entrée gets to the table it’s not hot at all. It’s very warm. Maybe it sits in the back before its brought out; don’t know.
The prices are very comparable to other places on Edgewater Dr. I’m giving 3 stars because of parking and the entrée not being hot. The parking lot is in the back and is shared by several businesses on that strip. The parking lot is soooo tight you have to be extra observant when parking. And the parking spaces are too small. Hopefully, something will be done in the future to enhance it.
Overall, it wasn’t a great experience and it wasn’t bad; just ok. Hopefully next time if I decide to go back the food will be served hot.

I have to say, Jade exceeded my expectations, and I usually don’t expect much from Asian restaurants of this category.
I try to stay away from ordering bento boxes but it was the highlight of their lunch special so Honey Garlic chicken bento box it was. You definitely get your money’s worth! The chicken was properly crispy and sauced. So many places do honey garlic chicken wrong by either smothering it in sauce or not having that crispy texture, but Jade did it right. The other items in the bento box were tasty too.
We had the pleasure of Danny being our server. He was friendly, attentive, and quick. We noticed that he greeted other customers by their name which is a great sign of a quality server. Lunch lasted no longer than 45 minutes.

Great place to stop by for classic asian dishes like chicken and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and definitely give their honey garlic chicken a try! Some unique favorite include double wonder which has eggplant if you’re into that kind of stuff! I love their spring rolls to start, really crispy and the dipping sauce complements it very nicely. They also serve excellent sashimi varieties! Ask for the tuna or salmon! The sushi was plated beautifully. Give this place a try if you’re in college park or love sushi!

I went here for a large birthday dinner and was quite happy with what I got. My server (Danny) was very attentive to our needs and always checking up on us. The dishes were excellent for American Chinese cuisine, also the sushi was great. I recommend getting Honey garlic chicken and the volcano roll. Highly recommend this small but tasty restaurant.

Because I am a lazy bastid, I order take out a LOT, and this is one of the restaurants in my rotation. The delivery is fast, they *always* get my order right, and the food is a solid 3 ½. It’s not fantastic, and depending on what you get, they can be stingy with the meat (especially shrimp), but it’s always very consistent in quality, and let’s face it – you don’t always need an OH MY GOD meal. I’ve had a little of everything over the years: Fried rice (both smoked salmon and pineapple), sweet and sour chicken, spring rolls, summer rolls, pad Thai, sushi rolls, won ton soup, tempura fried cheesecake, etc., and everything has always been good. In fact, in the four-​something years I’ve been ordering from them (sometimes 2 – 3 times a week at the height of «laziosity»), I’ve only had one poorly prepared meal, and for those of you who live on take-​out, you know that’s saying something!
If you’re in the area and want decent, relatively inexpensive food, check them out!

Stopped thru Jade’s on a last minute decision and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu items are moderately priced for lunch and the food tastes pretty flavorful. I had the honey chicken bento box last time I went. Not too bad. I’ve had better but this was enough to kick the craving. The outside seating is preferred. The inside décor isn’t very aesthetically pleasing and it’s super cold. The service is good, the staff is quick to seat you and get your order rolling. I would eat there again for a quick lunch. It’s very convenient.
