J&J Metro Moving and Storage

As I hope you will all see from the «owner’s» comment to my review, he is clearly defensive and now I see also dishonest! He 100% told me that he would not honor my contract, was extremely rude & dismissive in the conversation & before «offering» to come out to my home again to give me a new estimate had made it extremely clear that he would not honor the price his terminated associate entered into with me. He stated verbatim that he «had lost money because of other contracts this associate had entered into» and that he «was not in the business of losing money on payroll costs». I was shocked that a company would speak to a client in this manner. I have only ever left three reviews as I typically believe that everyone makes mistakes & should be given the benefit of the doubt but felt compelled to share this story as I was shocked by the unprofessionalism that was displayed (& now his lack of taking responsibility afterwords continues to display this company’s lack of professionalism & commitment to their contracts). The contract stated that all you have to do is send an email back that says «I Accept» (which I did). I will post a photo of this when I return home just for proof so that this company cannot continue to lie to the public. I was in constant contact (daily at that) with his Sales Manager throughout the process. If this «owner» as he writes that he is (although the «owner» I spoke with said his name was Gary) would be honest and operate with integrity, he would have told you that there were several voice messages left with his company indicating that I wanted to pay my deposit (no one would call me back to take it). This may have been due to the fact that he let his associate go; however as I stated in my review, I truly understand having to separate employees that might not be doing the right thing, but that should never be at the expense of the client. That was pretty much all I even said to this man when I had my conversation with him. For him to write that I was combative is absolutely untrue (anyone who knows me, knows that I am the exact opposite of combative). I was in complete shock during the phone conversation and think that I probably repeated that I could not believe he would not honor my contract. He was extremely condescending and rude throughout. I truly hope that anyone considering using this company thinks twice. I was going to let this go but after reading the blatant lies in his reply will now bring this back up with the Better Business Bureau (as I had initially only filed a informational claim with them)…Clients should not be treated in this manner and I truly hope that no one else has to deal with the actions of this company. Fortunately, I have learned that there are many reputable moving companies out there who will honor their contracts & treat their clients respectfully. As I shared the story of this company with them, I have learned unfortunately that these actions are not uncommon by this company. Be very very careful of this company.

We used this company last week and I cannot tell you it was horrible. They sent inexperienced people that banged up our walls — dented our furniture — broke an expensive glass table. Scratched our hardwood floors. They fixed the walls like a 7 year old it was a joke it was so bad. They never apologized for anything. I cannot imagine how they can stay in business very much longer ! Don’t even think about using this company

Used J&J to move from our condo to our house that was 10 miles apart. When the movers found out that we had a bit more stuff to move than maybe I told them for my phone quote, one of the movers SPRINTED up and down my 3 flights of stairs to try and keep the hourly rate down as much as possible to save me $. Extremely respectable people who were honest and helpful.

We moved my parents to assisted living. They were on time, quick, helpful and, respectful and mindful of the situation of the move. All of the staff, from booking moving appointment to the last box, were supportive, honest, hardworking and reliable. Was a little more pricey than other moving companies, but the care, understanding and helpfulness was more than worth it. Thank you for making this transition as stress free as possible!!!

Chose the company for our move within Orlando based on overwhelmingly positive Unilocal reviews in June 2015, so was a little surprised when they turned out to be less than fabulous. We moved from a 4 bedroom home… so, a somewhat bigger job. The office service was fine… the quote/​time was accurate. Team of 4 came. Not all 4 are moving the entire time. The guy who seemed to be in charge, I only saw periodically. The problems came to light near the end of the move. An office desk, a drawer set and a shelf had critical screws missing so they could not be fully reassembled (when it’s just one piece, you can call it an accident). After they left, I saw that a piece had come off of some exercise equipment and it was just laid on top of it (not mentioned to me that it had come off during the move) and this seemed dishonest (I was able to fix it).

I used J&J Metro again. This time, Kirby and Percy were on the team again along with Tyler and Noe. We had 5 stops in one day but they remained diligent and focused to get the job done.

I used J&J for a move in December. The guys showed up on time, handled my furniture like I would handle it myself, and worked very quickly. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This will sound exaggerated but I assure you it is not. I called in today when I realized the quote and the final price was off by $ 500. The answer I was provided by the customer service rep was not satisfactory and I elected to discontinue my conversation. He tried to engage me but I’ve rarely found service reps are at fault for the situation and it’s best not to take it out on them. I hung up. I was then called back immediately by that rep. I made it clear that he is NOT to call me back on my personal phone, he persisted and attempted to talk over me. I asked if he understood me, do not call me back. To which he replied, «GO FU*K YOURSELF MOTHERF*CKER!»… When I called back to try to speak with a supervisor I was transferred back to that employee who told me I would not be allowed to speak with anyone and he hung up on me. Awful experience, awful company. Too many alternates to select from to put youu

We really had a great experience with J&J. We moved on June 20^th, and had two great movers assist. The movers arrived right on time and our one bedroom apartment only took them 3 hours to move, and both our old and new apartments were on the second floor. The movers were very polite and respectful. We also had kind of a trek from Kissimmee to North East Orlando, and the move was still record time. Everything was expected, no surprises. If we move again, we’ll definitely be calling J&J.

I have had the pleasure of using J&J now on two Florida coast to coast moves. My contact at the company has been Jason who has managed to impress me at every opportunity.
This is one of the firms that really works hard at becoming a «go to» group when you have need of the services they offer. Moving isn’t fun (ordinarily). You have concerns for your items, not to mention the overall stresses with relocation.
The true testimony to this is a minor billing issue I had from my last engagement with J&J. Only when an issue arises does a firm really have the opportunity to show you whether they are professional or not. Without question J&J and Jason worked at finding a fair resolution that we would both be satisfied with.
I’ve moved enough times to be very skeptical about most moving firms. In an ordinary circumstance I’d never make a recommendation to use one because I’ve never had any faith in those I’ve used … until now
My experience with J&J has made them my first choice in any area they serve bar none. I would encourage you to at least have a chat with Jason before you make a decision.

My moving team was extremely professional, courteous, reliable and did a great job moving my kids and I into our new home and again moving my remaining furniture items into a storage facility. I highly recommend J & J Metro, specifically Ryan and Mark. These guys did a fantastic job! They showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and packed everything with great care. I am very pleased with my experience with them!

Moving team was very professional, worked hard and were reasonably priced. Everything was carefully wrapped and we had no damages or lost items. Since they frequently move residents into the same assisted living facility my mother was going into, they even knew the best arrangement for the furniture.

I will definitely use J & J in the future if I ever have to move again. Everyone knows moving is a horrible process but the two men who assisted in my move were wonderful. They were polite, kind and careful with my things. I have used other companies in the past and there is no comparison.

We had J&J Metro move our 3 bedroom house about 2 months ago and I was very pleased with their service. They were professional and expedient from scheduling to the actual moving day. Additionally, they were very conscientious with my belongings — all of my fragile items and my piano made it to the new location without a scratch. I’d highly recommend them to anyone! :)

I was very pleased with my move. The movers were on time and the move went very smoothly. I’ve used several moving companies before but I have to say that their customer service was the best I’ve had so far. It’s very easy to get nervous about movers moving your stuff. Sometimes you just don’t know how they are going to treat your stuff. I’m glad I chose them b/​c now I’ve found a moving company that I can trust.

This was my first time using a moving company to move. Was somewhat weary due to horror stories (of other companies/​locals) from friends and acquaintances… Was recommended to them from a Business partner and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received! Ryan & Tony arrived on time, ready to work and were professional, courteous and careful. They picked up some stuff from one location for storage, then packed up an 1100sq/​ft apartment and delivered it all to the new location and got everything into storage all in a solid days work. The entire process from the initial interview until signing the final invoice was almost too easy!
I’ve moved many times, all on my own in the past, and after such a pleasant experience and lack of back pain I can definitely say this won’t be my last time using J.J.Metro, and I will definitely request Ryan & Tony if available.
I don’t know if it could have been done any quicker, but if anything I slowed them down simply by being there… I will certainly recommend them to you, as well as my family and friends, SAVE YOUR BACK, hire professionals that know how to be On Time, Professional, Courteous and Careful with your possessions!

This is how my J&J Metro experience started – by speaking with someone who understands the process of moving.
Moving is indeed a process, and it was definitely made easier with J&J Metro. I received friendly assistance by phone prior to the move, and all charges were clearly explained to me.
On moving day, the truck and the men arrived on time, worked until the job was done, and then I received an invoice. I purchased a Unilocal deal which made this move even better.
This company is licensed and insured, and all my items were handled with care. Well done!
