Great selection food. Come on weekdays because it gets busy(duh!) or your favorite food item will be gone. Have someone work at the cotton candy station because there was a line with no one making them. Food was great and left with a big belly!

Good service is something that can make or break a dining experience. The manager on shift was a gentleman(I didn’t catch his name) but he checked us in and was very welcoming. Our waitress was Lizzie she was fantastic, very attentive, our drinks were never empty, she was super friendly and great with our children. When my ten year old went up to the buffet there was a cook Xavier that was incredibly helpful asking if there was anything he could help my son with or get for him. We also noticed the waiter in the next section, Fidel, was working his butt off. When he wasn’t tending to his customers he was cleaning his section then he went on to clean around the buffet. Now on to the food. They served the typical buffet style foods. Both my husband and I thought the food was cooked well. If you’re going to a golden corral you’re not going in there for a fine dining experience so if that’s what you are expecting your going to be sadly disappointed. That being said this particular golden corral location exceeded our expectations for what it is. We would definitely return.

Ok I get that it’s mass produced food, but I’m sure the creator of Golden Corral did not envision this. First time at Golden Corral … It was a little scary, not going to lie. The handles of some of the serving utensils were falling apart right into the food. Countertops *desperately* needed a wiping. Every other fork I picked up had dried something attached to it. I think there are buffets in the area of the same price and higher quality, or at least better sanitation. The staff members were so incredibly kind and thoughtful, though. I wad so glad for that. I got full, but queasy full.

Golden Corral is one of those places that I come to every once in awhile. It’s easy to get bored with it if you go too often. My wife and I look forward to the fried chicken which is usually very good. I particularly like the fried chicken liver. Not a lot of restaurants where you can find that. The salad bar is always fresh. The lettuce is often wet, but a good shake takes care of that. The menu doesn’t change much, so if you’ve been once and don’t like it, I wouldn’t expect your opinion to change much over time. When they do change it’s often for the worse. They used to have the best chocolate chip cookies, but they’ve changed the recipe, so I don’t even bother anymore. :( That said, I still like GC. It’s not to come back to every now and then.

Vegeterian friendly, rice is good, Mac and cheese also well cooked and the salad bar is normal…

I eat at GC nearly every day because of the low prices, the variety and the high quality of the food. On rare occasion have I found a location that doesn’t measure up, however I frequent the West Town location in Altamonte Springs because of the excellent Staff and Managers who cannot do enough to make sure you leave pleased!

For $ 8.39 for breakfast, it’s a deal. Keep in mind this is mostly mass-prepared food, not individually prepared, so the quality just isn’t going to be there, except maybe for the omelets. I do have some comments about specific items. COFFEE: it’s one-star. OMELETS: some ingredients are pre-cooked, and some are OVERcooked, such as onions, mushrooms, peppers, and spinach. Sure, you can make an omelet faster if you don’t have to let the fresh veggies sauté, but then it shows up in the quality. But for the money, it’s decent. BACON: VERY overcooked, so much so that not only is it dark, but when you use the tongs to remove a slice, it crumbles upon contact. Again, the bacon is cooked en masse in a tray in a very hot oven, so the cook needs to keep an eye on it and remember that meat keeps cooking after it’s removed from the heat. Those who prefer«crisp» bacon don’t mean killed! SAUSAGEGRAVY: Long on the gravy, and very, very, very short on the sausage. CREAMEDCHIPPEDBEEF:(I’m a connoisseur) the«cream»(not cream at all!) was too thick and bland, but the good news is that the beef is sufficient in quantity and not salty. SAUSAGEPATTIES: Excellent!

I usually visit the Colonial and Alafaya location but today we came here and we enjoyed the different atmosphere. Jazz playing and the set up is easy to move around in. Elizabeth took very good care of us and was very attentive with a great personality. Ask for her section next time you visit. I know we will.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. I went with my husband and toddler, and thank God my toddler and I barely ate. My husband had pretty much the same things we did except he had a piece of steak. We couldn’t get home fast enough. My husband had to run to the bathroom and spent the night doubled over with stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea. He had to call out of work because he was so weak from spending the entire night in the bathroom. So unless you want food poisoning, I wouldn’t recommend eating any meat here.

I have no idea why I am willing to give this chain a chance once per year. Maybe it’s their advertisements that make me believe that things have changed, or that perhaps I just came on an «off» day. But no. It’s the same cafeteria-grade food each and every time. Just about the only things going for this place are the salad bar and the chocolate fountain.

Woke up really early this past Saturday morning. And not really up for cooking breakfast, I decided to give this breakfast buffet at Golden Corral a try. For one adult meal, the price is $ 8.89. With tax, it comes to $ 9.47. I have only had dinner at this Golden Corral. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. It is a good place to go when you cannot decide where you want to go for dinner, or you cannot decide which type of cuisine you would like. It is also good if you have a family of nine, with a couple of the neighbor’s kids in the mix. Anyway, the breakfast buffet was really good. Just about anything for breakfast is available. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage(patty and link), hash browns, pancakes and french toast, biscuits and gravy, and even meats such as ham, grilled pork chops, chipped beef, corned beef hash, country fried pork chops, and country fried chicken breasts. Even the salad bar, with fresh fruit is available. There is a omelet station, where a chef prepares omelets and eggs cooked to order. I settled for the scrambled eggs on the buffet, but as I walked by the omelet station, the chef prepared what looked like some tasty omelets. There was Texas Toast available on the buffet, but I did not see regular toast available. Nor did I see any oatmeal. But for all I know, it may have been available. Juice is available. But you have to order it at the register. Coffee is served, but you have to have your server bring it out to you. As for toast, I was happy with the biscuits served. As for the service staff, I have never had any problems with waitresses being rude or forgetful. Matter of fact, all of the waitresses and employees here at this Golden Corral have been friendly and courteous. There are times that it may take longer to get a refill, but if the place is busy, there may be a wait. Especially if your waitress has that table with the nine kids. Like I mentioned before, I came in early(7:30 a.m.), so it really was not busy when I arrived. As I was leaving, I noticed that business really picked up. As for my meal, it was a nice, quiet breakfast. Not like dinner time, when it is really crowded and can be noisy. And I did not have to wait for someone who could not make up their mind as to what they want. Another thing I do not like about Golden Corral is not the staff, but some of its customers. They can act as if they have not ate for several days. And I have had people cut right in front of me as I approach the buffet. I did not have to deal with that during the breakfast buffet. But then again, the nine kids are probably just waking up. By the way, the breakfast buffet is available on the weekend. But I did notice a promotional poster advertising that a breakfast buffet will be available on Memorial Day. May want to keep that in mind if you are in town for the Memorial Day holiday. And hopefully, the family with the nine kids will be at the beach.

I came to this restaurant 1 hr before closing time on sunday because my family and i were really hungry and decided to stop here. We walk in and there was no soda left which seemed fishy and the ice cream machine was completely broken which also seemed fishy. The employees all looked like they hated their jobs and there was a limited supply of mediocre food. The dessert line was a complete wreck and almost revolting. If i wasnt extremely hungry i probably would have just gone to mickey ds. It was a waste of money in my opinion. I will never go to this golden corral in particular ever again.

I normally don’t go to buffet restaurants, because you have a tendency to over eat. But I went this evening to the Golden Corral to meet up with a group of Knights of Columbus. I was pleasantly surprised as to the new look of the Golden Corral has. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything that they were offering that evening. Their pot roast is, «off the hook.» I also had some of their fried chicken which I always enjoy, and their meatloaf is really good. I went to the grill to get a small piece of steak, and the cook behind the grill offered me a stack of steaks, which I gracefully and kindly declined. All of the food that I tried there that evening was very tasty, and I noticed that it was not as salty as on previous visits. Their salad bar looked delicious. Also, I noticed that they have a larger selection of sugar free desserts. We were able to take home half a dozen of their yeast rolls which went very well the next day with an egg sandwich. Golden Corral is a very good destination, if you want to feed a large group of people. That way everybody can pick and choose what they want, and how much of that item that they want. See you next time.

Compared to many other Golden Corral’s I have visited in the past, this is one of the more nicer ones. Not too crowded, food is fresh and constantly replaced and the staff was fast at replenishing drinks and collecting dirty dishes. For the price, gotta love the amount of food available at this buffet. Don’t forget to try the bread and steak!

I ate here a few times within the last few months and the experience has been so-so. The food tastes good but replacing the food when it runs out takes forever! I always eat the mash potatoes which tastes ok but when they run out I find myself waiting for at least 5 to 8 minutes for them to replace it again. Being in line for steak is the most painful of all. The lines are always long so definitely prepare yourself for a very long wait! Cleanliness is a bit of a problem with the plates and silverware. A bit of advise is check your your plate before picking it up! I keep finding some dirty plates with bits of food still stuck on them. The dish washers are missing major attention to details.

I’m guessing they got the idea for GC from prison chow lines. I’ve never been to a GC until today when I was asked to take part in a dinner for a person who passed away recently. This was his favorite buffet(older man) and his kids wanted to remember him. I was game, and I’m not a snob, I promise, but AS Rener Gracie would say, DANGGGGGGGG. The people at this place are just trouble. A group of 4 thugs tatted up wearing wife beaters were loitering out front. I wasn’t too too concerned by this since I’m packing heat, totally legal out of state florida CCW. But still this is not a nice thing to see with your family. We didn’t know how to get in. This is how it works, you get on line and pay, then they let you in to feast on the abundance of crap food. Well my wife, mom, and kids just walked through and went in. No one said anything. I met with our group and asked how it all worked. They said to grab a plate, but I had to get my daughter’s pacifier. I went back out and came back in, again, no paying. Finally my wife figured it out and went to the cashier and paid for us and we started eating, honestly we could have just filled up for free if we were low lives. The dessert guy is an asshole and gave my wife some lip. This is just not a place for a person with a modicum of decency. Also, there is this tense feeling that you shouldn’t mess around on the lines. People seem to be ready for a fight.

My daughter loves this place, so on her advice we dined here last night. They have an extensive buffet for $ 11.49. The steak was OK, I got mine cooked medium. The sides were nice also. There were a few too many screaming kids for my liking, and people were making a big mess inside. It was a bit better than I expected it would be.

This type of buffet franchise can be good«depending on location». I say this because I have eaten at the one at Clermont area and it is wayyyy cleaner(plates and utensils) and the soft serve ice cream is creamier and milkier than here! It has been a year or so since ive eaten at this buffet and I wanted to try it out nearby my area — So I decided to stop by for an early dinner after my shift. Its about $ 12+ for dinner and that includes tax with no soda but water refills. I was expecting more seafood and meat varieties but they only happen to have tilapia as their main fish to serve, shrimp, meatloaf, potroast, chicken, filet steaks. My only comebacks were the seasoned corn and fried battered shrimp in which it was medicore. The soft serve which usually I do comebacks for was not creamy or milky in fact it was kind of artificial looking. They also had bad spots of uncleaned dried food spots on certain plates & utensils! Yuck! They did offer fresh cotton candy in which I have observed the employee behind the machine somewhat injured herself from using it for a waiting customer. Also they had a Chocolate Fountain in which Im not a fan of because its a «germ trap» using recycled chocolate for the public to use. Overall. I will not come back to this location due to the uncleanliness and limited selection of foods for dinner.
