EC Waters Air Conditioning & Heat

We have been a long time customer and even referred them to a friend. I assumed they offered ²⁴⁄₇ service, however I called on Friday, June 3^rd and was told that no one could come out until Monday afternoon. I said — I thought you offered 7 day service and she said they did but the repairman was booked all weekend. Within 4 hours I called another company and had someone come out because I wasn’t going to wait all weekend without air. I had to pay $ 325 which would have been covered under my maintenance agreement we had with E. C. Waters. Before I decided to rate them via Unilocal– I went on their website and sent my comments directly to them and gave them until last Friday to respond and told them that if I didn’t hear back from them I would do a review via Unilocal.I am very disappointed that they do not seem to back-​up their services and I would have to say that before you choose a company, make sure you get confirmation that they really do offer this service.

Installation went great! However within 3 years we had multiple issues and EC Waters sent an incompetent tech. Once we got a tech who knew what he was doing he found a leak. We were charged for the freon from the leak. We shouldn’t have had to paid a thing. The leak was not something we did. We paid $ 5000 for a Lennox unit and we have issues on a yearly basis. We have now been 4 NIGHTS with our a/​c not working correctly. We called EC Waters right away and they couldn’t get anyone out here for 3 days. This is UNACCEPTABLE! This will be the last time I used this company. And we’re only using them again because its probably another leak they didn’t find last time. I guarantee the owner of EC Waters is not having his family sleeping in a house of 84+ degrees for the last 4 nights! Buyer beware!!!

Love EC Waters! We’ve had a few different jobs done through them including the installation of a brand new a/​c. We got quotes from a couple of different companies, and EC Waters’ Alfredo was the only one to genuinely listen to us about the quirks we’d learned in our years of living here, and also the only one to crawl around in the attic (and take pictures, so we could see what he was talking about in his explanations!). More pricey than others, but you’re paying for thoroughness and expertise. I would not hesitate to recommend them. As the other reviewer said, you hire the right people to do it right the first time.

The way I see it, you either save a few bucks and end up paying down the road, or you hire the right people to do it right the first time. The guys at EC Waters are the right people. They’re upfront and honest and know their stuff. They’re admittedly not the cheapest in town, but you won’t have any complaints, and they’re there when you need them. I’m withholding one star because I love to haggle, but they just come with it like Carmax.
Side note: Did anyone notice how many times I used the words ‘they’re” «their» and «there» correctly in that review? Man, I’m good.
