Our conference is being held here for the weekend. Our company has roughly 150 rooms that were paid in full. This hotel did not think to stagger room availability for 150 guest coming from all over the USA. They have us waiting in the lobby for over 4 hours.

This hotel is beautiful, lobby and bar are warm and inviting, and the rooms are tastefully decorated. There are only 2 things which stand out as not so great-the lighting in the bathroom is awful and the walls are paper thin. I could hear every word coming from the room next door and I did not have a connecting room. The first night was quiet but I guess the room next door was empty or the guests were very quiet. Very annoying! The fitness center though is top notch with a beautiful view of the lake also!

Hotel itself is great. Clean comfortable rooms. Ample parking. Close to UCF. Only problem is that the fire alarm appears to go off not uncommonly. I’ve stayed here 6 – 7 times and it’s gone off in the middle of the night/early morning on twice of those stays. I’ve eaten at the Study a number of times and unfortunately the service is horrible– they’ll give you a menu but never come back to ask if you want to order. You have to get up and walk around to find your server. The food is inconsistent(even the same exact meal!). Sometimes it’s really good, other times really bad. They do have a great happy hour if you can tolerate the effort it takes to get served(note that if you’re sitting at the bar, this isn’t really a problem). Prices are expensive so if it hadn’t been raining the last few times I ate at the study, I would have taken my business elsewhere.

Great Hotel, awesome food and service! Attended a wedding over the weekend and can’t say enough about the staff, cleanliness of the rooms and delicious food. Seems like it was recently renovated the décor is amazing too!

Great experience each time – we have stayed at this location 3 times in the past 8 weeks. Shakira(from New York) was wonderful! David was great, even the bartender(from New York also), was great. From the time you walk in, the staff is pleasant, the hotel is clean; just an inviting atmosphere. Love the room design, but would like a fridge in room. Our hotel of choice for future visits.

An unexpected gem in the Orlando hotel scene. Interestingly decorated rooms that break out of the corporate chain institutional look, a really superb gorgeous restaurant(The Study) with an exceptional wine list, and a large pool good for laps open 6am-10pm. Bathrooms a bit small. Free parking.

Beautiful space, everything from the lobby to the rooms was impeccably decorated. My room had a gigantic king sized bed, a nice view, a sitting area AND a keurig. Absolutely love having the Keurig in the room. So convenient when you’re in a hurry to get on the road in the morning. Hotel was sold out for the night but I didn’t hear a peep from any neighbors. I guess having a room without a connecting door is key, when reading other reviews. I will certainly keep this hotel as my first choice when I have business meetings in Research Park.

The HOTEL staff has been amazing!!! I’ve been here for almost a week and have looked forward to walking in the front lobby every day. They’ve helped my mom find her way here and spent time chatting with me and recommending local dining spots. Great group of people!(No fridges though, I love to get groceries instead of eat out, this really limited me) The restaurant staff however is not so friendly. The waiter asked if I had any breakfast coupons, I said yes and he walked away and never returned. I waited for him to come back to tip him, but his loss. I’m not waiting around for 10+ minutes. The next day I went back to the restaurant(it’s free), and had awesome service, gave him a ten. I leave and look down, my white pants have a huge coffee stain on the butt. The velvet seat must have been holding it in from a previous spill. Went back upstairs with luggage in tow since it was before check out time, only to get yelled at by the cleaning crew that I should not have come back up to my room even though I checked with the front desk… Ugh. I’ll stay at a different hotel next time. Not a fan overall.

The location is super convenient — across from UCF but far from the usual Orlando tourist spots, it’s easy to get to. Newly remodeled, the rooms are chic and stylish. The lobby welcoming, with the dining room nearby. Breakfast is always fab(they have bacon every day. EVERYDAY!). Dinner is equally delish with new twists on soups and things. The shining star here, though, is the staff. They are seriously amazing. I always look forward to my next visit.

My husband and I had a wonderful visit here. We were impressed by the friendly staff, clean and contemporary room, and having the best price in this area. We were even given a warm cookie upon check in. My favorite part of this stay is how comfortable the bed is. Firm mattress with a fluffy pillowtop. Our main concern was that our room had a connecting door, but it also may have been noise from the hallway, but you can hear other conversations like they’re in your own room. We would stay at this or any other DoubleTree hotel in the future.

Might be shiny and new, but if you have a room that is connected to another room via a door, it is not soundproof! Insist on a room not connected! Our neighbors came«home» at 2:45AM and talked until 5. It was so loud! Like the door was opened! Made for a horrible night’s sleep!
