I’d give them 5 stars, but they were out of two items I requested, and it was only 3 o’clock. That being said, their Cubans are the best I’ve found in this town since ’97 o. O and that should be a good indication as to why they sell out fast. My husband’s mother is Cuban, and an excellent cook. Pleasing him is difficult, and now he’s hooked. They have a great lunch special, and not too far off the path(located near I-4 off Lee Rd). The rest of their food looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to get back and give the rest of the fare a try-early, lol.

Awful. A cuban place should at least have decent rice. The rice was dry like they made it yesterday. Beans had grit in them. Chicken tasted like it was reheated and it had no flavor. I asked for ice water and they made me buy bottled. The floors and tables were dirty. There are so many cuban restaurants here I can’t think of one reason to recommend this place.

This place is great — best Cuban sandwich ever(you could tell the pork on the sandwich was slow cooked and homemade). The atmosphere was simple and unfortunately it felt like the A/C didn’t work they day I was there, but the service was fast & friendly(call ahead is a good way to go).

I really wanted to give Don Cuban a better rating. I love small local restaurants, and this place looked like a great local establishment off Lee Road. My daughter and I had the lunch special for $ 5.99. She had the chicken and I had the pork ribs. The place smelled good, but our food seemed re-heated from a couple days ago. The ribs were like they had been boiled first and a seasoning had been added. The rice was just ok. For a cuban place, I expected better rice, but again it seemed like the food had been re-heated and was not made that day. As a side I had Yuca and my daughter had the plantains. Neither one was impressive. They did have a nice selection of sodas that were not Coke or Pepsi products. Overall, the people seemed nice, and the place was clean. The food just didn’t make it for me.

Don Cuban has a somewhat limited menu… but what prices! 2.99 breakfast and 4.99 specials for lunch! This place was simple and the portions were generous but well flavored. You see what you get, and special requests such as a side of salad instead of rice were produced with a smile. the beef and chicken were both good. Unfortunately, I did not get a photo of the menu. The place isn’t haute cuisine, more like cuban fast food, but if you need something quick, it’s much healthier than the options, and the staff was super friendly and amiable. oh, and free wifi. The place had a lot of foot traffic. check out their facebook page
