Dillard’s

Don’t come here if you don’t have time. You will be drawn in unable to escape. That is, unless it’s close to closing. Then there’s at least one employee there who becomes a bit of a jerk. She uses the excuse of «being customer service» as an explanation of why she stops serving customers early. Weird. That aside, you’ll find some great deals here.

Let me preface my review with some caution. This is not your average Dillard’s. As others have said, It’s a clearance Dillard’s. You can get amazing deals for great prices. That being said, it does take some patience. This place isn’t really organized. They do sort things into men’s, women’s, home, shoes, kids, etc., but there’s not really a rack for each designer — unless you want a higher end designer dress.
You have to sift through lots of clothing you probably wouldn’t wear to find the gems. Once you find things you would like to try on, you can only take six items into the fitting room, but the lines are always long. The fitting rooms really do smell, but then again, they don’t maintain the store well.
Make sure you inspect your items well. There’s no returns, exchanges or refunds at this store, but you really can find a lot of good deals. I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the mood for new clothes but not necessarily with something specific in mind.

Stopped at the Small to show my son The strange mall. Found Dillards and found some amazing prices with amazing clothing. Saw some of the reviews and was kind of put off. They describe the place as dirty rundown more like garage sale.
My wife managed to replace almost her entire wardrobe. The cost was equal to approximately one outfit at any other of the department stores. I was pleased. She was pleased were both happy. Will more than likely come back next time we need clothing for both men and women.

Awful. Garage sale on steroids. Didn’t know Dillards could sink so low. My daughter and I decided to check it out, as she had just graduated from college and needed some items for her new job. As we walked through in disbelief, we agreed that it had a post-​apocalyptic air to it– so very depressing. We actually worked up the courage to thumb through a couple of racks but here’s the kicker — in that huge store, they had all but 2 of the dressing rooms closed off!!! I suppose this is so they can manage the herd with minimal staff — the line of people out the respective doors of these two fitting rooms was a sight to behold. In unison, we hung our selections back on the rack and walked out. We will never return.

The physical facility is filthy and the fitting rooms are smelly and disgusting. The people working there could care less if you need help or not. It took me a little over ONE HOUR of standing in line to check out because the first line I got in was attended by a woman who was unable to operate the register properly. She got frustrated and sent me to the back of the other line so she could go home. I started my waiting process behind about 10 people all over again. Check out was extremely slow– I’m not sure why but the workers seemed to have a terrible time determining the final price of everyone’s items having to poke everything into the register by hand and then look up additional discounts on a worksheet. Horrible customer service. BUT!!! The items I purchased and the deals I got made it worthwhile in my book. I got beautiful Dillard’s merchandise for a fraction of what you pay in the regular store. If you are willing to put in the effort searching the racks, which, I have to say, are pretty organized then you will leave with super bargains. Just be prepared to work for it a little bit and don’t expect the same type of service/​atmosphere you get at a normal Dillard’s.

Did not know this store became a clearance center until recently. It is still old and dirty looking. However, I LOVE the clearance prices. Got some work dresses for $ 35-​$ 45 bucks after an additional 30% sale. The customer service was average, which is more than what I anticipated for from a clearance center! Overall, a good experience.

This store is now a clearance center. Packed with clothes but not totally messy. Found lots of men’s clothes for my guys but didn’t have the patience and time to look for women’s clothing. Really great deals if you are willing to look. Each size has a rack and is clearly labeled so it wasn’t difficult to shop. Today everything was an additional 50% off. The very friendly salesman told us that there are different sales going on each week on top of the already low clearance prices and while we were shopping, BOGO sales were being announced for certain departments. It closes at 7pm and I didn’t have enough time so I’ll definitely be back. The men’s dept was great. Beautiful sports coats and ties.

Tragic. That’s all I can I say about this anchor store at Fashion Square Mall. If you haven’t been recently, this Dillard’s location is apparently now a clearance-​only store that will test your fortitude as a human being and make you ask yourself, «how badly do I want this $ 7 sweater?» Displays look like they were arranged by a 3 year old high on pixie sticks, merchandise looks like it was recovered behind a shelf in the stockroom after several years missing (surely that can’t be a cigarette burn in the knee of those jeans … right?), and the condition and design of the store itself can best be described as Reagan-​era DMV. Customer service is non-​existent, probably because they expect you to just walk out without paying anyway. Save yourself time and an infection and go to the nearest Goodwill store instead.

I used to love this location for the big New Years Day sale, as it was never too crowded and I could always find great deals. This location is now a clearance center, which means you don’t have to wait until New Years Day to score some deals.
The store is pretty organized, with round racks now replacing the former setup of merchandise separated by brand. It’s not like your typical Ross or TJ Maxx where items are overflowing all over the place, everything is neatly organized by size.
It still doesn’t seem that crowded, but that could be because Fashion Square Mall is in decline and will be facing renovations soon. A lot of the big retail brands have closed up. Hopefully this clearance center will stick around after the mall renovations are complete.

From reviews of fashion square it will become apparent that yes this mall needs work. There is a new management company that is hopefully taking care of things. One of the biggest complaints of mine is the lack of selection of brands of clothing, shoes, purses that I like in general. Dillards seems to be ahead of the curve on this one with its selection at the Fashion Square mall.
However, the store itself needs some comestic work. There is an old, dirty, moldy smell throughout the store and carpets are in dire need of replacement.
If Dillards fixes these things I think they will be on track to be awesome.

Ladies, LISTEN UP! I popped into the Intimates section of Dillard’s because, after a significant weight loss (and subsequent gain of that same weight — ugh), I had no freakin’ idea what size bra I needed. One thing was certain though, my drawer full of old VS bras wasn’t gonna cut it anymore. I was warmly greeted by the sales clerk and when I explained my situation she immediately asked, «When was the last time you were measured and fitted?» Ummmm, never? She escorted me to the fitting room, took a few measurements and asked a couple questions to decide what type of fit/​shape would suit me. She stepped out for a couple minutes and returned with 3 – 4 options for me to try. I hesitated for a brief second when I realized that she wasn’t going to leave and let me try them in private but I thought what the hell, it’s not like she hasn’t seen it all before!
Literally within 10 minutes I was at the register paying for my new unmentionables. I felt (and looked) amazing! Who knew that the right bra could give you an instant makeover?! Seriously, I looked at least 10 lbs lighter. The woman who helped me identified herself as the «Senior Fitter» and boy did she ever know her stuff! I’m kicking myself for not writing down her name so I could give her the recognition she deserves; I think it was «Chita» but I’m not 100%.
