Amazing staff! I really enjoy doctor DeForrests’ practice. She is so knowledgable and easy to talk to. She was instrumental in getting my vision back on track after I’d gotten an incorrect contact fitting by another doctor which caused blurred vision and constant eye irritation.

The Dr and the staff are wonderful! They made my first experience at the eye doctor a success. I really appreciate the help finding the perfect glasses.

After going to the same eye doctor for 14 years I was very nervous to try a new location. After moving to Orlando I found Deforrest Eye Center and I completely love their staff! They remember me every time I visit and are very punctual and efficient with their visits. I am so glad I found this place.

Best experience ever… I enjoy everyone who works at the office including the doctor, they know me by my name and keep details about me straight. They are upfront and honest and they take their time to make sure I have no questions. Frames are great and service is awesome

I HATE this place! Not really — just my purse does because I love their frames and their customer service!
I went there three years ago after a bad experience w/​Lens Crafters. The doctor is great. You do not feel rushed, she answers all your questions and is very thorough.
There does not seem to be that many frames to pick from, but once you sit down with Essie — look out, SHE WILL find you a frame. Somehow she keeps pulling frames out of boxes, knowing «a shipment just came in and those new red frames will look fabulous on you!»
I bought two pair of glasses that day. It was very expensive.
Two years later I went to Sam’s to try and save some money. DISASTER. The prescription was never right. The glasses broke — they did replace with no problem — Kudos to them for that. But when I was picking out the new frames the lady told me I would stop by every time I was in the store for an adjustment. She wasn’t kidding. The wire on the nose pieces is so fragile that if I so much as bump the nose guard while cleaning my glasses the fit is all off. When you where tri-​focal there is a very small area of lens that you look through to see and if the fit is off — your vision is off. THEN to top it all off the price was pretty darn close to the price I paid at DeForrest. I wear tri-​focal so there is no getting around the expense. The expense is the lens.
So back to DeForrest Eye Center. Everyone there is great. Megan and Essie up front and then the doctor herself — all there to truly help you. I told the doctor what happened, that I tried to save pennies and was miserable. In less than a year I needed a new prescription (because the one that was written at Sam’s was never right to start!) Without bashing Sam’s, which she could have done because I was very unhappy with the product I had gotten from them, she likened what I did to your hairdresser. Every once in awhile you think you can switch to one of the chains and after two cuts and one bad color job you go back to your original stylist and say «Forgive me Hairdresser for I have sinned…» — and then she fixes it!
After the exam I went back out into the lobby to choose frames. And there sat the evil Essie ;-0. I planned on getting a pair of sunglasses and to update the lens in an old frame (the original ones I bought there 3 years ago). Somehow, I walked out of there with a whole new pair of glasses AND some Gabor-​esque Coach sunglasses on order AND my old frames to be updated with new lens. And again, I spent a fortune. But at least I know it is not because they are overpriced. The cost of the lens is the cost — there is no getting away from it. I spent more money than I wanted to on accessories that I put on EVERY morning and wear until I go to bed because of Essie! She has incredible fashion sense, (and so does Megan — she picked out the perfect pair for my 30 yr old son — he looks better with them than without) and she happily helped me with my selection. So I paid the price for something that I need and this time my glasses will be right. And, Essie was right, those red frames do look fabulous on me!

Do not go to this eye doctor unless you like high prices and rude service. I was charged $ 65 for a contact lense fitting fee that was not performed. I had decided to keep the same brand contact lenses as I already had from a previous doctor. There was nothing to fit and I wasn’t even given a free trial pair. All they did was order me more lenses. Half way through the year, I wanted to change brand of contact lenses, and they told me that I had to pay another $ 35 for a 6 month exam or I would have to keep the same brand. It hardly seems worth losing a customer over $ 35 after they already charge me $ 65 for a contact lense fitting fee that was never performed. I will never do business with this doctor again. And yes, I spoke directly with the doctor. I guess she really needs the business to not budge on a $ 35 fee

A great, positive staff! I was wearing contacts that did not suit my needs at all. I see a lot better now that I have my prescription updated with a much more comfortable fit. Very thorough and competent service.
