First off, love the atmosphere it was very modern and Americanized. I thought their background music was really enjoyable. Our server was really nice and checked up on us often. I specifically came for the Oc Len Xao Dua and it did not disappoint me. I do think that they should expand on their menu there was not a lot of entrées choices to choose from but they do have plenty of appetizer items.

Good music, good atmosphere! The people are great as well. A fun affordable date night! Thanks guys!

I had passed this restaurant a few times driving by but didn’t really notice it until I saw their sign at the Lunar New Year’s Festival a few weeks ago, thinking I would give them a try some time in the future. A friend was coming into town so what better time to try a new place and give them the experience of eating Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is tucked away in a building with other surrounding businesses. Walking in, the place is nicely decorated with a modern feel, kind of giving it that Asian fusion type of vibe. The friendly server greeted us promptly as soon as we walked in and let us select our own seating. We started with 2 spring roll appetizers. The flavors were okay, the spring roll consisted of thin rice noodles, shredded lettuce and the pork/pork sausage. They were accompanied by the peanut and fish sauce, which also tasted just okay and a bit diluted in flavor. For entrees, we ordered the rice noodle dishes with the grilled meat. This is one of my favorite dishes when eating out at Vietnamese restaurants because it’s usually very flavorful and has a good balance of sweet, salty and savory. Here, it looked like the standard dish, except the portion of meat to noodle was small. Normally the fish sauce will really pull the dish together, but this sauce couldn’t save this dish as it was lacking in flavor. There were a lot of raw bean sprouts, again in a disproportionate amount. Next we ordered dessert, getting the jackfruit smoothie with boba and the 3 colored dessert drink(che 3 mau). The jackfruit smoothie was pretty good, to my amazement after having 2 failed dishes. However, biting into the boba the center was still raw. It was such a letdown. This drink almost redeemed the underwhelming meal we just had until that moment. The che 3 mau was okay too and didn’t really stand out in comparison to other one’s we’ve had before. This place gets the 3 stars for service, décor, atmosphere and friendliness but really misses the mark on the dishes.

Oh my… where do I begin? Food: Flavor was totally off for everything we ordered. Their hoisin sauce definitely did not taste right, and directly affected two of the three dishes we ordered. Summer Rolls: They incorporate fried(dried) garlic inside the rolls. In my 30+ years of eating Vietnamese cuisine, I have never seen this ingredient in summer rolls. This«twist» simply doesn’t work as it overpowers the other fresh ingredients. And since the hoisin tasted bad, the peanut sauce made things worse. Phở Dac Biet: The noodles are too thin, almost like bún. The broth as it stands(before adding hoisin and sriracha) was quite good. But then everything got jacked up because I added their terrible hoisin. Also, instead of placing the cilantro along with the usual side dish of herbs and sprouts, they placed a single stem on top of the soup. So now I had to pull apart soggy cilantro stems. How fun. Grilled Pork & Egg plate: Whatever cut of pork they used was extremely fatty. I’m not expecting 100% lean meat here, but when 1⁄3 of the«meat» is pure gristle, it is extremely disappointing. Service: There was one server and one runner for the entire restaurant. Although they were very friendly, they simply couldn’t keep up. I had to wait pretty long for drinks and to get the check. Décor: Modern and trendy without being guady. It was actually the one thing I enjoyed about my dinner. Overall, a rather forgettable experience. With so many Vietnamese restaurants to choose from within a mile or two, there is absolutely no compelling reason to dine here.

Beautiful atmosphere and great selection on their menu. I had the vegan noodles with vegetables with a coconut hoisin sauce, it was amazing! My boyfriend has the brisket and eye round phở and he said it was delicious. They also have karaōke on the weekend too. We will definitely be back many times!

Usually go to Bikuri upstairs but noticed that a new Vietnamese place opened downstairs. I walked by it 4 times but stopped in the 5th to try something new. Very attentive and courteous staff. I usually have phở at Vietnamese restaurants but decided on the #26 bun Tom bo nuong cha gio. It was fresh and delicious. The shrimp were grilled and delicious the beef was grilled and tasty. Veggies were fresh and the peanut and fish sauce were on point. I will def be back

A contemporary designed interior. All of the food we ordered were flavorful. They offer only one size of the Phở, which is a generous large bowl with lots of meat. The shrimp papaya salad is a must try. Inform your server if you like it mild in the heat. The grilled pork was marinated so it made it very tender. We received excellent and friendly service.

Wow, food was great! Top quality, fresh, and nice flavor. I had a couple of the spring rolls and a chicken dish. The rolls are sooo good, wouldn’t mind taking home a half dozen to eat later. I can’t remember the name of the chicken dish but it had noodles, veggies, crushed peanuts on some nicely cooked chicken with a spicy sauce on the side. This was the real deal! You can tell when a restaurant is serious about food. Orlando has a lot of great food tucked away, don’t miss this delicious little spot!

Was super excited upon arrival but disappointed in the food. Super cool place inside but the food is a little bland. It’s lacking the authentic Vietnamese flavors that I was looking forward to. Overall good service and I got my food quickly but I wish the food was as good as the way the place looks.

Yummy!!! The place is extremely modern and gorgeous! Not your average Vietnamese Restaurant. Apparently the place just opened not too long ago, so far so good! The food is phenomenal and flavorful! The staff here are friendly and thoughtful which is rare at the usual Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to. They actually are concerned of the feedback and are willing to switch things around. The server came around a few times to check up on my food and asked how things were doing. The refills on drinks were fast which is also a plus. I ordered the chicken wings to start off with as an appetizer and was very pleased. Crispy and moist. The batter was different from your average fried chicken. The sauce that came with it was sweet and spicy. As an entrée, I ordered the grilled pork and egg roll. It came with rice noodles, pickled daikon and carrots, and some fresh vegetables on the side. I enjoyed the flavor on the pork as it was tender and flavorful. I’ll definitely be back!

My family and I saw this restaurant when we were out one night. It was offering 20% off as this was its grand opening, so we thought«A new Vietnamese restaurant, what the heck, let’s try it.» The restaurant’s interior was contemporary and aesthetically pleasing. The music played provided me with a relaxing dining experience. They played some light American music, among it were some of my favorite songs, like«Angels» by Jack Johnson. Props the the playlist creator! The music created a very homely atmosphere. The attention to detail was exquisite, from the wooden wall panels, to the LED lights under the booth. I am obsessed with the interior design of this restaurant! 5⁄5 The service was 4⁄5. The waiter was very nice, and before and after our meals, the owner came over and asked us how we were doing and if we enjoyed our food. I liked how he interacted with the customers. I ordered the specialty Phở and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The Phở was enough for me, the serving was not too big but not too little like other restaurants. The flavor was just right, and they gave me plenty of meats. The coffee was very good. I recommend you all try Vietnamese Coffee sometime. My sister ordered a taro boba, and although the size was kind of small, as well as my coffee, it was delicious. It was smooth and flavorful, and the boba pearls was especially chewy! 3.5÷5 I also liked The complementary water they provided, as it did not taste like gross tap water. The water came in some sort of clear wine bottle with a contraption at the top to close it. I think that was creative and provided a new way to serving water to the guests instead of the same old waiters refill every 10 min. This way, the customers can refill the water whenever they would like as the bottle is kept at the table. Attention to detail: 4⁄5 I did not get dessert as I was already full from my Phở, but I would like to try it sometime when I get back. Overall, I enjoyed dining at Dai Vi and would most likely come back soon. I came in hungry and left satisfied and full. Now that’s a great restaurant!

Update: 11⁄26 After my initial review, I was messaged by a recently made Unilocal account. I’ve attached a screenshot of the message. Because the account was made in November 2015 and contacted me very shortly after my review, I am quite certain someone associated with this restaurant was not happy with my honest review and barraged me with unprovoked, unnecessary petty insults. I am deeply disappointed by this experience, and would strongly recommend against eating here not only because of the lackluster food but mostly because of the attempted censorship from an uncaring management. A restaurant that cannot take criticism is not a restaurant that cares about its customers, the very drivers of the restaurant business. In addition, I would like to point out that all of these newer 5 star reviews are all newly made Unilocal accounts from this November. What does this mean? I don’t know. You tell me. I do admit that my original post of my friend ordering the(Bun) Phở Da Vi with the noodles were incorrect. But I stand by everything I originally said about their broth and food. — — – My friend and I recently saw that this opened within the past week. It is probably the nicest Vietnamese restaurant in this area and has a modern touch to the entire restaurant. You won’t see greasy Sriracha bottles on the side and everything is presented nicely. When you’re seated they bring you a bottle of water and fill the stemless wineglasses with it to go with the ambiance of the entire restaurant. The only problem we have(which is probably the most important) is the food. Along with the modern touch, they seemed to have brought that with the food as well. My friend ordered Phở Da Vi, and the broth didn’t have much flavor and they use the cheap skinny noodles that aren’t supposed to be used for phở(we would know because he’s Vietnamese, and this place seems too Americanized). I ordered Grilled Pork Chop with Egg, and you can’t beat presentation anywhere else. However, it lacked the distinct flavor that Vietnamese pork chops have. Their Do Chua(Pickled Radish & Carrots) that are usually served with rice dishes wasn’t pickled long enough. As for drinks we ordered Thai Tea which was too sweet according to my friend. Overall I give them three stars for the service, presentation, and ambiance of the entire restaurant but would never return for their(mediocre at best) food.

I was on my way to my usual Vietnamese place when I saw the grand opening sign for Da Vi and decided to give it a try. Upon entering the restaurant I immediately noticed the modern décor and how clean it was. The friendly staff greeted us an sat us right away. The menu is not as big as other restaurants but it covers all of the major categories(appetizers, phở, vermicelli, rice platters, house specialties, etc). I started with the grilled pork spring rolls with peanut sauce. The spring rolls came cut diagonally from the center and arranged vertically with a side of fresh veggies. The presentation is a step up above the other restaurants in the area and it looked fantastic! The rice paper had the right amount of moisture and chewiness which gave it a nice fresh feeling. The grilled pork inside had beautiful grill marks and each bite had grilled flavor that was slightly sweet. The pork was tender with little to not fat on each piece. The peanut sauce was thick which made it difficult to dip the spring roll into. I ended up using a spoon to put the peanut sauce on the spring roll. For the main course I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli. It comes with fresh veggies, a fried egg roll and nuac mam with pickled veggies. I poured the nuac mam over the dish and mixed all up. The fresh veggies were nice and crisp, the grilled pork was on point with its grilled flavor, the noodles were perfectly tender. The nuac mam is light on the fish taste and a little spicier than normal which I thoroughly enjoyed. The fried egg roll was plain tasting and it was not crispy enough for my liking. The music playing in the restaurant was light American music such as Jack Johnson. Each table had a lit candle and a bottle of water. These are nice little touches that will give this restaurant more of a mass appeal. Don’t hesitate to come here for date night :) The prices are the same as other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Considering how the food was great and how nice it is inside, this place is a winner so far. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience here and look forward to coming back and trying other dishes! Food: 4.5÷5 Ambiance: 4.5÷5 Service: 5⁄5 Price: 5⁄5

Not only great prices but the most pleasant experience. On a street with so many Phở eatery choices a friend and I randomly decided to pop into this one with their grand opening 20% off special not expecting too much. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the friendliest staff! Very flavorful food, fast service, and clean establishment!
