The Currywurst Truck has swung by my office more than once and after a few trips to the parking lot, I feel confident saying that it’s a solid addition to Orlando’s growing food truck scene. I’ve been a little unadventurous with my visits and have only tried the currywurst platter, but it has hit the spot both times. For $ 11, you get a portion of currywurst covered in curry gravy, french fries with ketchup and mayo, and a decent sized roll. The sausage itself is of good quality, but the sauce does not taste like traditional curry ketchup; it’s more of a light BBQ sauce with different spices thrown in(curry included). I still enjoy it, but it’s not what I’m used to. The fries and roll are about what you’d expect — not that there’s anything wrong with that. I think the prices are a tad steep($ 11 is a little rough for lunch in my book) and it’s not the best currywurst in the area, but it’s a great quick fix for street food.

I remember being at a food truck rally were this truck made its debut. The line remained extremely long the entire time I was there. The popularity definitely made my friends and I curious and the menu looked good, but not enough to wait. Moving forward several months, I was at an event and Curry Wurst was there! I had to get something. I ordered the kielbasa dog with onions, mustard, and sauerkraut. I was amazed at how big the portion size was. The bread was really good and had a nice crunch. It held up to all the goodness inside. It was a very tasty sausage. Everything complimented each other nicely. There was just a little too much mustard on it for me, but that’s just because of preference. Pretty much everything on their menu looked and sounded good. Great value for the price as well. I look forward to trying something different in the future.

I heard all the hype about the CurryWurst truck and was at a local festival and figured I’d snag a taste of Germany. I went with The Original Curry Wurst which is chopped up bratwurst with sauce and a crusty roll on the side. The quality of the sausage seemed good and the roll was nice & crusty. The sauce was a miss for me. It reminded me of bottle bbq sauce with curry powder sprinkled on top. I actually had a bit of a belly ache about 30 minutes after most likely due to the uncooked curry powder — it was just not for me. My friend tried their kielbasa sandwich which she enjoyed which was topped with sauerkraut & mustard.
