City Dry Cleaners

By far the worst experience I’ve had with a dry cleaners. I had a few dress shirts damaged, had a chat with the manager and the situation got nowhere. His answer to the damaged shirts was that I caused the problem and there was nothing that he could do about it. I started using this dry cleaners out of convenience and I regret this decision. I hadn’t had any issues with the previous dry cleaner for six years, had various shirts damaged on one order by City Dry Cleaners and since my move to another dry cleaners after my incident at City Dry Cleaners, I haven’t had ONE issue for three months.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Avoid City Dry Cleaners on Colonial at all costs. My husband took a large load of shirts there to be dry cleaned and over a DOZEN of his shirts were destroyed: a retail value nearly $ 2,000.
The damage was identical on all shirts: the elbows were torn from bicep to forearm. When my husband brought it to the owner’s attention, the guy said my husband must have «worn through them,» even though seven of the twelve shirts were brand new. He offered to refund the cost of the dry cleaning service –an acknowledgment of the guilt– but refused to offer any concession toward the replacement of the shirts.
Please spread this message, as I know it’s a newer business and they’re attracting customers because they’re offering «green» dry cleaning, but they’re going to destroy your clothing, which isn’t exactly earth-​friendly, if you ask me.

How do these people stay in business? I stopped coming here a year ago because I would receive my laundry with stains that weren’t there in the first place! Bullshit. So I decided to give them another try recently — I had 30 pieces so I thought I’d get a good deal. It was not the case. These fools stapled tags into my shirt. Of course when you try to remove them they leave a hole.

New Owners! Very convenient and great prices, too! I took my husband’s suit pants here for repair and for cleaning and the people at the desk and at the alterations side were both friendly and helpful. Give City Cleaners a chance!

There are new owners, so if it’s been a while since you’ve been here, you should go check them out. Great prices, friendly service and run directly by the owners! Go see Harold and his wife, they moved here from Venezuela A few years ago and and are very genuine and kind to their customers. I try to support business people who work hard and are appreciative of my business!

I’ve been going here for years. When I recently encountered a problem, they were quick to resolve it. Excellent customer service.

Cheap, but they do a horrible job. They have burnt my clothes and left stains repeatedly. If you care about taking care of your clothes, do not come here!

Front Desk lady is SO rude!
She complains if you walk in and she was sitting down, then if you say your phone number too fast she yells at you. The dry cleaning service is OK but she makes your experience here so unpleasant!

I’ve been here a few times, mainly because it’s cheap. The old adage «you get what you pay for» is definitely true. Last fall I brought in a white coat, when I came in to pick it up the stains were still not removed and it had to go back to get cleaned again. At the end of last month I brought in a blouse that needed some stains removed, and they were stickered. I didn’t see at the time of pick up, but when I wore it soon after picking it up my boyfriend pointed out all the stains that were supposed to have been removed. They still were not removed even though a bright orange sticker was placed on them! Also, I brought a dress in that «maybe» could be cleaned how I wanted. I took the risk. Upon pick up it still was not clean. They said they would try again. Three weeks later I had to call in and ask if it was finished because no one had called me. She apologized and said I thought I had called. Today I went in for pick up and the woman lied and said she called me.
Between not getting it right the first time (ever) and crappy customer service, I will never, ever go here again. Ever. I can only encourage other people to do the same.

Never again! I’ve come here occasionally bc it’s usually easy quick and cheap– this time I came with a big load– 16 blouses and other things– wAs told it would be ready when I arrive it was not– so I had to come back again and a blouse was missing due to «stains that needed more work» I’ve now been back twice and they can’t find my shirt saying «the tag must have fallen off we don’t know where it is» that’s reassuring. I’ve now been here four times for one drop off. the money I saved not having them pick up/​drop off at the office (hangers) I have wasted more
Time/​gas trying to get my Clothes! No credit– refund nothing has been offered. NEVER AGAIN– don’t go there !!!

Manager/​Owner is rude and service bad. Would not take responsibility for damaged clothes. They might be cheap, but you do get what you pay for at this place. There are other in the area that excell at customer service and do the work on-​site — unlike City Dry Cleaning who sends everything out.

LOVELY WORK! I don’t know what those other guys are talking about. They cleaned up my coat very nicely for under $ 4, plus the clerk was helpful and hysterical. My stuff was ready when promised, even after labor day weekend.
Parking is annoying. State route 50 is annoying in general. I’d advise you to come in through the bank on Bumby. There are little driveways connecting the two businesses.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My clothes were late being done and they had horrible follow up on when they would be ready. Was told a time they would be delivered to me since they were not ready when promised and they had to push that time frame back 3x and one item was not even ready! What’s worse is that I had to keep calling to find out where my clothes were!

WORST EVER! Manager is a complete asshole and customer service is terrible! Cheap price but clothes look «faded and pill» after being cleaned. Would not recommend!
