Delicious food in a great atmosphere. I go here for lunch a lot during the week and also after work for happy hour or late night drinks with friends. The atmosphere is fun and the people are great.

Had an excellent experience here for a Friday lunch. My wife had a small house margarita and the chicken flautas plate, both of which were very good. The margarita wasn’t heavy on the sour mix, so that’s a great way to kick off our first experience here. I had the Cali Chicken 3-tacos plate. Very delicious, my favorite part being the lightly marinated avocado chunks. Our server was very friendly, didn’t bother us to much, but had our order right and drinks full. Food came out very quick, so it’s easy for a short lunch break. I will be back for future lunches here, worth every penny.

Maybe it’s the $ 3 Margaritas talking, but this place is awesome! Got the grilled blackened cod tacos with jalapaneos and hot sauce with a huge basket of chips and salsa instead of rice for $ 8 and it was awesome! One of my buddies got the jalapeño mac for $ 7 and cheese and the other got the Carnita chimichangas for $ 8 and both loved their meals. They also have $ 4 tequila shots and $ 3 coronas with $ 1 Bacardi lime top off and there’s a wall of shot names. Décor is amazing. Tons of huge TV’s and a Long bar that wraps around with tron style led walls with lines of glow strips! They play cool old school rap and alt roc music. No live band. Service was amazing. We sat at the bar and the bartenders hooked us up! Some real broskies! Bartender says this place gets packed at nights as a club and recommends we come back tonight! There is parking onsite and Whiskey Dicks is next door and church street is only steps away. Downtown Orlando but not a touristy bar. This is where the locals hang out. No Mickey Mouse operation over here hoss! lol

Oh Chico’s… Sweet, sweet, Chico’s. You are a place where good decisions go to die. A stomping ground for debauchery and home of the Bleeding Bronco. What’s a Bleeding Bronco? Glad you asked. It’s a pint glass of frozen margarita with an upside down Coronita dunked inside. Not only is it delicious, but at $ 7 it’s a steal! Beware though, this tasty concoction will creep up on you, so be conscious of intake and always pace yourself. Trust me; I’ve learned the hard way! Besides the tasty libations, Chico’s is one of the few bars downtown that allows free play of beer pong and flip cup! I know, college was how many years ago? But on a nostalgic night out(or every Thursday after kickball) it’s a wonderful time. Don’t forget to visit the DJ booth because they’re always super friendly and willing to play your jams. I know Chico’s also serves food and is open for lunch, but I can’t judge on that since we only head there for drinks. Do feel free to ask for chips and salsa if you need a snack though, they’re on the house!

Food was good and all the dips were great. Food is really over priced for mexican food we got enchiladas a burrito and the trio dip with drinks for 33 dollars. Second time I went I ordered tacos which only came with two! There is an understood rule in the mexican world that all orders come with three. Also food was not flavorful at all.

Beautiful space and good drinks. The bar staff are not friendly and are as cold as the drinks.

I came here for an NBA finals game, and I was happy with my experience. I got the 3 tacos with rice for $ 11. I thought it would be cheaper, but the pork tacos I got were very good however the rice was a small mexican rice and was below average. Drinks were cheap as Corona was $ 2.50 that night. The bar manager Jay was telling me they have different promotions every night. With regards to the game, they have a huge drop down projected along with lots of large HD TVs. Staff was super friendly as were the people. It was a bit slow for a Sunday, but I just wanted to watch the game.

Love Chico’s! Their Dirty Tacos and Cali Cobb Tacos are great! When we went today we had the sweetest waitress with great customer service skills. I wanted a jalapeño margarita and the bartender was out of the jalapeño tequila so he muddled actual jalapeños to make me the drink and it was so yum! Thanks for trying to accommodate and make the customer happy!

I’m not sure why this place has such poor reviews as the service is great and they have awesome specials. On Friday nights they have half price appetizers and $ 2 Bud Lights until 9pm. Luckily since Bud Light is absolutely disgusting IMHO they also have $ 3 Dos Equis all day every day! The atmosphere is chill and their live music is great. There’s this bad ass tree covered in beautiful lights in the middle of the bar area. Nachos are pretty sick but be sure to ask for a side of queso blanco as they are a bit dry without it.

Crawling around downtown, my local friends brought me here. I didn’t actually order anything, but the people in my party did. Middle of the road beer prices. The bathroom was pretty disgusting though… I realize that it’s a bar, but there’s a point. The three star grade is more of an «incomplete» … but I don’t really see myself returning if I’m in the area.

The pork tacos and pork quesadilla are both very good. I love the spicy jalapeño slaw instead of lettuce. That really makes their dishes! I would give this place more stars… since I think their food is very tasty, but here goes: The menu with the price for adding meat/no meat on an entrée is confusing. They charge extra for cheese on tacos, that just seems weird to me. Not for extra cheese, just extra for adding any cheese at all. The chips an salsa are great, but it’s a little weird that you get chips and salsa when you sit down, then the side for the entrees is also chips and salsa. Why not a side salad, beans, rice, or anything else? No one really wants that much chips and salsa. Otherwise, this place is really good and the service is quick.

I LOVE cheese, and am so disappointed that you have to pay extra just to get cheese on your tacos here. And when you finally pay that extra money to get the cheese… they’re stingy on it! Not ok! Also… while I’m talking about cheese… their queso dip is not very good :( They do give you free chips and salsa which isn’t bad and always a plus. The chicken in their tacos was pretty good… more citrus-y than most chicken you would find in tex-mex, but still decent. I think I would only go here if I had to. I would not choose to on my own doing. And just an FYI… if you need to scoot your hightop chair closer to the table… do not and I repeat, DONOT put your fingers under the wooden seat to do so. The seat is not connected to the base of the chair and will lift up and smash your fingers under it… and it hurts… BAD!

So I figured this place is within walking distance of my office, they have drink specials, tons of tequila, and tacos so what could go wrong?! We sat outside with a group from my work. Weather was nice and they were not too busy at all. The only issues were; They were out of about 6 or 7 menu items, they charge for chips and salsa, the drinks took too long, and many of our dishes came out cold. All in all the food was pretty good and I might consider going back if they make a few changes. The server did not know the drink or food menu. Whenever we asked a question she stated that she didn’t know… That is frustrating. The menu was not super complex by any means so if someone asks a basic question, you should be able to respond. The margarita on the rocks was almost brown not green. Not sure what that was about. The up side: I ordered the pulled pork salad and it was delicious! Served in a crispy tortilla bowl it was very flavorful, tender, and juicy. Also, since the service was slow and they were out of many menu items, the owner came out and gave us a few servings of chips and salsa for the table. That was much appreciated! All in all the food is pretty good I would just give them a little more time to work out the kinks.

I thought I’d try this place because I was at the Plaza and too lazy to walk to Muchos. Dropped in on a late afternoon. One of the previous reviews indicates there is some kind of hot sauce extortion going on, so I grabbed a rogue bottle of Tabasco off an empty table the second I sat down, yielding a strange look from the server and my dining companion, but… whatevs, I love me some Tabasco and I wasn’t sure I’d see it again. We ordered beers, the stuffed relleno peppers and a chicken quesadilla. The food was just meh — I felt like the rellenos were overly breaded and also, filled with this sweet spaghetti sauce I didn’t care for. The quesadilla was okay. Portions were decent sized. Around the time we finished the quesadilla, we still had about half of the peppers and more than half of our beers left, and were asked if we’d like the check — in a nearly vacant restaurant. All in all, meh. I’ll walk to Muchos or Gringos Locos next time.

Ok, I hate to review with such low stars since it has only been open for a week or so but I was REALLY excited about this place. I adore me some tex-mex, mexican and just tequila in general. It is the old Crooked Bayou location and they did a phenom job redoing the inside, especially the breezeway and bathrooms, I adore the décor and ambiance. Love that they kept the tree inside, it’s a must for this location. I really loved the tequilas all on display too, hot. Ok, so our server wasn’t extremely knowledgeable, and yes, I get it… it’s only the second week but they didn’t have a drink menu… WHAT? I am sorry… you want to be known for your tequila selection but have no drink menu? I realllllly hope that is coming along because how can you not have a drink menu? So I asked about margarita’s and one was on special for $ 4. NO idea what the name was and not even sure if it was a «regular» margarita they served because it came out like a martini. Weird. Not a fan if this is how all their margaritas are served. I asked for no sour mix and was accommodated so that was nice, however, I would have really liked to know what I was drinking. What if I loved it and wanted it again? However, I was not a fan and hope not to get it again. When I drink a margarita, I want it to be on ice, huge and with tons of salt. This was a dinky margarita. We started with the trio dip, mango salsa, queso and guac. First, they don’t appear to make their chips in house. Sigh… it seemed to be from one of those huge party bags at BJs. I really like when locations make their chips fresh and they come out hot. So, that was a HUGE bummer. The mango salsa was the tastiest of the 3… actually, the only one I liked out of the three. The queso just tasted like melted velveta with some items chopped up in it, bleh. The guac was just flavorless and I swear it left a film on the roof of my mouth, like grime. sigh. So for the main entrée we split the platter Vatos Locos. It had two tacos with your choice of meat, we went with the pork. 1 chile relleno and 2 enchiladas. My favorite was the chile relleno, it has tons of flavor, mainly cheeses but it was great. It really did taste like Mexican Italian, like a pepper lasagna. Same with the enchiladas, they had the same cheese mix and it was very Italian-esque. The pork was unimpressive, just tasted like sliced pork, no huge bite of flavor. The jalapeño pickled cabbage was underwhelming as well. I REALLY want to love this place but I think they need to educate their servers better and really work on their food and flavor offerings. It has a great location, great idea and solid ambiance… just need to nail the other stuff down. I will be back to see your progress and wish them luck!
