Amy’s Walk-In Closet Consignment Shop

I normally will not spend a dollar if I don’t feel that the owner or business deserves it. First impressions are everything. I just happened to be down the street and have been eyeing this spot. I’m pregnant and just moved to Florida so I need some Florida dresses. The first second I walk in I was greeted by a beautiful blonde. It was Amy! And she was super helpful. Even though there were other people she still made me feel like I was the only person there. The first thing I picked up was hands down the most incredible green dress/​jumper thing with pockets. Before I knew it, I had a pile of dresses. A pile!!! I ended up spending $ 200 and getting so many dresses and tops. I am absolutely in love with this place. And Amy! I will continue to shop here!!! Customer for life!!!

Omg this store is amazing if I had the option of giving 100 stars I would. I am recently engaged and have been trying to find A cheap place to find a beautiful wedding dress. Unfortunately there’s not many places here in Orlando that had the price range and look that I was looking for. I was working and happened to find this amazing place by mistake. I walked in and was warmly greeted with a smiling face, I did a quick look around not seeing specifically what I was looking for that’s when the owner Amy asked me if I was looking for anything specific. I told her exactly what I was looking for and she said she had some really beautiful wedding dresses in the back. She showed me quickly if you think that she had, and they were definitely beautiful. I explained that I was still working and would call her is soon as I was on my way back. I ended up calling her about 4:30 to let her know that I was on my way back and she said she had already pulled out some dresses for me to look at. Once I got there she was amazing. I explained exactly what I was looking for and also my size and she immediately went to work. (I must also add I had recently been to David’s bridal and had an absolutely horrible experience, and that was my first time there, first impressions to me mean everything and after that I knew I wasn’t buying anything from David’s bridal.) I started to try dresses on and she help me to get into them she gave me her honest opinion and made me feel so special. I told her all of my ideas for my wedding she also had some excellent ideas as well. The first dress was beautiful however unfortunately it just didn’t fit right. The second dress that I tried on OMG !!! it was gorgeous. It was white and red and I instantly fell in love. (Another quick side note, since I was a young girl I had always wanted a white and red dress, I have previously been married twice and never had the opportunity to get the dress that I had always dreamed of.) I put the dress on and she help me to get into it and it fit perfectly. She complemented me on The way the dress accented my waistline, and she was right. I knew instantly that I had truly found not only The man of my dreams but also The dress of my dreams at Amy’s walk in closet. She took lots of pictures for me and I can’t stress enough how special she truly made me feel. She even extended her closing hours for me, and gave me a great deal on my dress and veil as well two pairs of boots that I just fell in love with. Definitely make sure that you make it a point you go here. Even though you may not be looking for your dream wedding dress like I was, she had a lot of great items at amazing prices. To you Amy I truly hope you read this and realize you have played a key part making my dreams come true, and I truly can’t thank you enough. Last night when I left your store I cried all the way home (happy tears of course) I will definitely be back to the store, thank you again.

Amy’s is a great little place!
The owner is usually running the shop on weekdays. When she’s not on the phone she will always help you find what you are looking for. Always ask if you can’t find something. Since it is such a small space things are sometimes hard to find or she’ll have something in the back that she hasn’t put out yet.
I stop in every couple weeks and pick something up. My friends who have sold here say they are happy with how much money they make from it, but I haven’t personally tried selling anything yet.

Amy’s is a recently opened consignment shop that just popped up in the new shopping center behind the BP on the corner of Chickasaw and Curry Ford. I would’ve never even know that it was there if it wasn’t for a flyer that I received in the mail advertising their grand opening.
I stopped by today after work to give it a go…
First impression: REALLY nice and friendly owner. She immediately approached me and asked if I needed any help. Wasn’t pushy… she pointed me in the right direction after I told her my size. The store is pretty tiny and quite cluttered. She apologized for the mess and told me that they had just received a large amount of clothes that she was still putting away.
I spent a while just sifting through the racks… and I didn’t find anything that really caught my eye. There was a pair of Roxy shorts that still had the tag on them (retail for $ 39.50) — she was asking $ 9.00. She tried to be very helpful and offered up a few suggestions, but nothing was really my style. A lot of the new stuff she had (tags still on) looked cheap to me.
I think I will give Amy’s another chance. Consignment shops are kinda weird like that… one day you found a lot of awesome stuff; other days you really don’t find anything. The owner says that they get new items in constantly, so I would suggest checking in and seeing what you find!
