Meet the Business Owner

Rita M.

Business Owner

From 1992 to 2005, Rita served as the Official Court Reporter for U.S. District Judge Anne C. Conway in Tampa, Orlando and Ft. Myers, reporting major civil and criminal cases in the Middle District of Florida and abroad. ‘NSync v. Lou Pearlman; U.S.A. v. Shalom Weiss; U.S.A. v. William McCorkle and U.S.A. v. Daniel Boyar, to name a few. Her work included sealed hearings about sensitive federal law enforcement matters, grand jury proceedings, pleas and sentencings. In obtaining a security clearance for the U.S.A. v. Noriega trial, she underwent a thorough background investigation and interview process by the F.B.I.

Since then, she has operated her own court reporting business and produced offline captioning for television production companies pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act. She is part of a team of CART providers for hard-​of-​hearing students at University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College. When requested, she provides realtime services for jury consulta
