We can treat many different types of injuries, from bug bites and burns, to lacerations and broken bones. We have on site x-​ray and lab services. Vaccinations are available as well as school and sports physicals. Whether you just have a cold or you are having a more complex issue, you can walk in and be seen quickly with confidence that Dr. Maki and her highly trained staff will know how to properly care for you and your family.

Business Owner

Dr. Maki served as an Emergency Medicine Attending Physican at Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida from 2008 – 2013. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Boston University School of Medicine. She graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004.

Dr. Maki did an internship in Internal Medicine through Boston University School of Medicine at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, R.I. She entered her Emergency Medicine residency at SUNY Buffalo, where she was Chief Resident and trained extensively in trauma and emergency care.

Good service but super slow at attending to patients. Says they open at 10am but the first patient didn’t get taken in until 10:30. I got here at 9:55am and waited over an hour for the doctor to see me and I was second in line. When people aren’t well they do not want to spend the day here.
Please work on seeing patients quickly and I will give you five stars. The doctors are great here.

The doctor may be great but I don’t know because I never got to see her. I was refused service unless I paid in full prior to receiving any service. This was despite my request to charge my insurance and send me a bill for any remaining amount that may be owed. This is AGAINST THE LAW. I left and was seen right away at another near by practice. After more than half an hour of waiting and filling out paperwork, I was frustrated to say the least.

I have been meaning to write this review for a while now. I recently moved to Orlando from Miami. Being new to the area and having a hectic travel schedule when I got sick I needed a place that was fast and efficient. Urgent care and Dr. Maki and her staff were outstanding. I have been here two different times for two separate issues. I have been in and out in record time and the quality of care has been exceptional. I highly recommend them. They also follow up to make sure that things are going well after your visit. I have never experienced this type of service. You will not be disappointed.

I was going to give it 1 star for the first portion of my visit. The place is nice inside, with modern décor and complimentary water bottles. But I waited over 10 minutes at the desk without a receptionist to greet me and then, after filling out my paperwork, I sat down for over an hour before getting called back. It was not at all crowded, so this seemed unacceptable to me.
However, Dr. Maki was one of the more thorough, compassionate, and detailed physicians I’ve come across and so I have to rate higher. I received good care for a sinus infection and Dr. Maki even wrote on a sticky note some over-​the-​counter meds to take, in addition to the script she electronically faxed over to my pharmacy.
While I’d be hesitant to go here for future needs due to the long wait, I’d probably give it another shot based on the quality of care in the end.

This urgent care is located above the Nona Blue restaurant on Narcoossee Road in Lake Nona. My wife became ill due to a stomach virus so being it was after 5pm, this was the only urgent care open on Saturday until 6pm. After filling out some paperwork, the doctor saw my wife and prescribed her some medications that helped her a great deal. The staff was highly professional, helpful and accommodating. We will make this our go-​to place for weekend illnesses, hopefully it will not be often.

Friendly, clean, caring and quick! What more can you ask for at an urgent care facility.
They even asked me to call the next day so that I could give them an update. I prefer them to my PCP!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maki and her staff. They are obviously well trained and skilled but their care, compassion and bedside manner are beyond exceptional! The community is blessed to have medical professionals of their caliber available. Dr. Maki discovered a lung carcinoid tumor and thanks to her, I should be able to live a full life. At 43 years old, healthy, never smoked, etc., my biggest fear was leaving behind my 7 year old daughter. I hope Dr. Maki is blessed beyond measure because she certainly deserves it and the world is a better place with her in it! Forever grateful to her! Kristi

What can I say? From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the staff and Dr. Maki herself. Our need was something fairly simple but did require attention. We were seen right away, exam was done, medication was administered right there to get the ball rolling, and then receiving a prescription to take to the pharmacy. But it goes WAY beyond that! We were chatting like they’ve known us forever. Not your typical visit to the doctors office. On a Saturday afternoon. At 2pm. I’d like to keep them to myself but honestly-I’ve been to other Urgent Care Centers and have not been treated this well. Dr. Maki’s knowledge base goes far beyond most. Add that to her easy-​going personality-​lets just say, I will NEVER go anywhere else. They have the state of the art equipment, x-​ray, lab, EKG just to name a few. If you need them, I would advise you to check them out!!! You won’t be sorry :-)

This place is great. I visited Absolute Urgent Care on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. They checked me in right away and quickly saw Dr. Maki. They were able draw blood for lab work, provide an EKG test, and an x-​ray screening on site. Dr. Maki is very knowledgeable and caring. She took plenty of time to explain everything. The staff is amazing and very friendly and welcoming. They even called to follow up and make sure I was feeling better. Hopefully I won’t need immediate care, but if I do I will definitely go back to Absolute Urgent Care. Great staff and facility in the Lake Nona area. Highly recommend!
