Ulta 3 the Cosmetic Savings Store Inc

I love ulta. I’m a make up artist, so I shop there a lot. Here is where I’m going to contradict myself… They take coupons& a few times a year, you receive 20′/. off your entire purchase, minus a few high end brands. I think they need to change that policy. If your going to send out a coupon for 20′/. off your entire purchase, it should include EVERYTHING! What annoys me the most, At the beginning of the month, I run to get all my stuff that is on sale or promotional and they are out. I hear, call us back next week, when we replenish? It was the 1^st day of the sale& they were out of several sale promotions, I needed. Please supply your stores better, so we all get a chance to get in a part of your sales. Or I’ll just have to order online thru another site.

This is my favorite Ulta. By far the most helpful customer service I’ve experienced with Ulta brands. Great stock on makeup and hair tools. I’ve also used the Benefits brow station (meh) and the salon (excellent). My favorite areas in this store are the makeup displays and the hair tool displays. Bravo.

I got my eyebrows done at the Benefit Beauty Bar and Sophia was amazing. I could tell she takes a lot of pride in her job and is a perfectionist. Though she was busy, her focus was completely on me. She made sure all of my questions/​concerns were answered and even gave me a makeover. I will definitely recommend this Ulta because of her.

I stopped in here the other day for the jumbo shampoo sale. I had great customer service during this visit. Unfortunately, I never got the gal’s name who helped me, but she was wonderful. I needed help finding some blackhead pore strips and she took me directly to them and proceeded to offer me advice on getting the best use out of them. I also had a question about which shampoo was best for my dry hair and she guided me to another associate who was equally courteous and knowledgeable. I’ve been in here many times and quite often I will be walking around looking for assistance and no one is around or they completely ignore me. The new associates they have are much better.

The customer service was great, actually I was pretty surprised at how dedicated they were to myself when I was getting my eyebrows done. However, there prices are almost the same if I would go to Nordstrom or Mario tricoci. The girl was pretty good at doing my eyebrows, but they weren’t as good as the job I would have received at a higher end salon. Bottom line: They are to expensive for the eyebrow service they give.

I’ve been debating for a little over a week to write this review as I have never have had a bad experience at this particular ULTA location. I went in to exchange an item and for help on learning how to use the kit itself. I was directed to a very nice girl by the name of Meghan. Now my review is actually on her. I’m new to makeup products and had some questions as to what shades she would recommend me to use for my skin tone. This is the part of my complaint, she proceeded to tell me what I could do was schedule an appointment that would last about an hour or so were she would do half of my face and go into more details about what’s good for the skin. Not bad right? Well the problem is its $ 50 for the appointment. I just wanted her help in matching my skin with a same color foundation! I was really put off by that itself. Yes I did say I was new to it all, but I didn’t realize to ask for help with a matching foundation would turn out to potentially cost $ 50! Needless to say, I will not be booking the visit… and I think I might go to a different ULTA from now on.

If I could give no stars, I would. I was trying to find a good face serum, two workers were just standing talking to one another. I walked around a few times trying to get a little attention. They completely ignored me. When I finally went up to ask for help, they acted like I was bothering them. This is not the first time this has happened either. I was rather disappointed with their customer service and will not shop here again. I am sticking with sephora where they actually help and are rather knowledgeable about products. Goodbye Ulta, I gave you a chance, not once, but a few times, and each time you blew it.

A little dirty and nothing special. I prefer the Ulta in Naperville which has much better service and product selection.

This review is about Ulta salon. I called & made an appointment with a very confident young man who reassured me that I would not be disappointed, however I was. I asked for a lot of layers which he did not give me. He cut just a few along the bottom & when I asked for more to give my hair some volume he said there’s already a lot, maybe in his opinion there was but I asked for more so why not just give me what I’m asking for, besides I was the one paying him. Then he takes the cape off of me and says ok you’re all done and I said «you forgot to trim my bangs (which was mentioned when I sat in the chair). I won’t be returning to the salon part of this store however I do love the make up part of the store !

This is a great Ulta location.
Not the biggest location around but they always have what I’m looking for. This location also has a great sale section! I’m always able to find something great for super cheap!

Awesome experience people make a difference I shop in the Ulta in Tinley Park quite often never have I ran into a spirit as beautiful as Lupe! I’m so happy I ran into Lupe because honestly Ulta almost lost me forever! As long as she’s there I’m there beautiful experience Thanks Lupe!

The Orland Park location is fabulous! I recently had a difficult return (involving several complicated transactions) and Jessica (Manager) completely impressed me with her professionalism and problem-​solving.
I highly recommend this store, very welcoming and helpful staff.

This is for the salon. I got my hair cut there. You know when you just decide you need your hair cut NOW and have no patience for waiting? That’s when I went there. It was fine but pricey. ($ 41 for the cut and $ 8 for the tip.) I didn’t think it was a $ 50 haircut. I would go back there again if I was in dire need. The cut was fine but nothing out of the ordinary that I couldn’t get elsewhere for a lot less.

Ultra is a little more expensive then Sally’s but not as expensive as sephora. The staff is very knowledgeable about what they sell. Sometimes they have free makeup applications by different high end companies (urban decay, philosophy, etc).

you know what this place really got on my nerves… the staff did NOT greet me when I came through the door… they didnt offer any type of help or asked if I needed help and its funny because they were not busy, they were all just standing around. I am a huge stickler for customer service and this location has none. I almost wanna say everyone in that store was a RACIST RRICK but I dont wanna really go down that road. But its had to see a white lady come in a few minutes behind me and they get a warm hello and if she needs any help… really ppl I thought those days was gone. and to boot I literally walked around for at least 10 minutes just to see if someone would even acknowledge me and nothing… but whatever my money spends well Sallys and Sephora… your lost not mines

They need a men’s section. I just stood in the doorway while my wife went and picked up the things she needed. I mean sure there were a lot of cute girls there, but it’s hard to pick up chick with your wife around. The least they could do is to move the store next to Best But so I can go in there while she’s in here. I mean that’s all this is, right? A Best Buy for girls.
But in all fairness, I bought a few xmas gifts here over the years and they always give out free bath robes. This would be a bonus, boom that’s one more gift I got you, but women know their given away free with purchase.
The prices aren’t bad and they have some kind of reward program that my lady loves. She actually was able to get $ 80 perfume for like $ 15 over the holiday season by using points. So that’s cool.
If they put in a TV section or a beer cart I would be more inclined to shop here and would definitely earn them another star.

I’m pretty sure I only shop here when I am in dire need of something specific that I know Ulta carries. It is just not a fun place to shop. The ladies in black (the sales attack force) does not allow browsing without supervision. So, I do not browse. Don’t need obtrusive sales women.
There are way too many clearance aisles in this Ulta, which are completely disorganized and messy at all times. Makes me feel like I am at a flea market or Wal Mart or something.
Points for the girl at the Benefit Brow bar. She does a good job.

About ten years ago a friend discovered that I had never been to Ulta and it was like she had discovered I had never worn shoes. She went on and on so much that I thought I had to check it out for myself.
I don’t wear make up mainly because I am lazy. The advantage of this is that I never have to worry about running into people before I have «put my face on» as they are pretty much used to this face. But my daughters do wear make up and this store was great during the Christmas Stocking years because I could get them little things to fill it up.
From the tips of her toes to the top of her head, the beauty industry has a product to improve every single aspect of a woman’s body and it is all here. Whether you are shopping for yourself or others you will find the product. I used to be intimidated by the women who work here but I found over the years they have been really helpful in tracking down the products others wanted so they don’t make me nervous anymore.
My «beauty» routine consists of keeping clean! Yay! I shop here consistently because they have the very shampoo that I prefer. I wish I could just pick something up at the drugstore but I really like this one brand. When I buy it, I get points on my frequent shopper card which means they send me coupons. You have to use the coupons, right? So I also come here to buy my face wash because if I use the coupons, it’s cheaper than at the drug stores.
The line can be a bit long and they have to always ask you if you want a magazine but overall, shopping here is pretty easy.
Plus, it’s next to a fabric store and across from a Starbucks. So once you have gotten your supplies to glam up or just clean up, there’s lots to do in the area.

What’s nice about ULTA is that they carry a vast array of products and styling tools that span the entire pocketbook range. You can get your tried-​and-​true «drugstore» favorites or splurge on designer brands all under one lipstick-​lovin’ roof.
I’ve found the Orland location employees to be very accommodating, sweet-​natured and helpful with suggestions, but they seem to lack the skincare knowledge that most Sephora employees have.
Heads up. They’ve completely discontinued giving away samples of anything in-​store aside from Lancome. I spend serious coin here and you can’t provide a single sample of your high end brands? I’m tired of returning items because I couldn’t do a sample trial at home. The gas alone is murder with my truck. You’re killin’ me, Smalls!

I love going here because they carry my favorite brand of nail polish, OPI.
Every time I come in here they always greet me with a hello and someone always ask me if I need any help. There prices for the other products they carry can get a little pricey but they often send me a $ 3.50 off coupon of $ 10 or more so that helps a bit. But other than that I only really come in here for my nail polish and during the holidays they usually have sails for OPI too.
