I never knew how much I appreciated them being here until they closed.

what the hell??? this place is closed!

The customer service was great, the jeans very well organized but shoes disgusting! Mud still on them, dirty very dirty who would be shoes that are ripped and why did they feel good about putting mud infested, dingy dirty shoes out yuk!!! Also insulting a pair of Nike Shoes for a little boy one shoe perfect the other shoe looks like it had been eaten by an animal wow!!! Also Jewlry was overpriced they charged more than the Ann Taylor Store downtown in my building at work.

Ths is probably onr of the most organized thrift store I’ve been too. Slight problem is that is so far away from me. But it was worth the drive. It has great selection of clothes for both man and woman and they have great sales as well. Staff is nice and helpful and it does have fitting rooms (something the city thrift stores are missing).I was able to get Abercrombie and Fitch shorts for less than $ 3. And my wife bought few shirts (RL) for $ 3 or less Yeayyyyy. I am a fan and definitely will be back

I went today because they had a 50% off deal on everything in the store.
I got a large Coach bag that was tagged at $ 26 for $ 13.
I also got some tops for work and a vintage looking dress. I’m overall happy with my purchases.
This thrift store has a LARGE selection of anything one might be looking for.
They are well organized.
Warnings:
It can get tight to walk through/​get around because people have carts and the aisles are not all large.
There are only 3 fitting rooms so if you’re thinking of trying things on, be prepared to wait.

This really isn’t better than Unique thrift store and the customer service is not good. I just hate that I passed up Savers to come to Spree. It is a little pricey for what they have to offer.

I was really excited coming into this store thinking I could find some real steals, but although I found a couple pieces I liked, I could hardly call them «steals.» I don’t know if prices have just been increasing at thrift stores lately or if I’m just really cheap, but I don’t like having to spend any more than maybe $ 6-​$ 8 on any one piece from a resale shop. I walked out with a Mickey Mouse sleeveless button up for $ 5 (but really probably only worth $ 2), a sweater for $ 4, a dress for $ 4, and a purse for $ 4 with a total of $ 17 spent. I stayed within my $ 20 budget, but I’m used to $ 20 going a lot further than 4 items.
I don’t think this is a place I’d go out of my way to visit, but if I happen to be in the Orland Park area, I’d drop by.

Unfortunately, my thrift store expectations are pretty high. I want at least one holy grail find per visit. This store is not the store for holy grails. It is a spinoff of the Unique chain. Which is ok, except for the fact that they have prices that are what I would pay for holy grails.
So this leaves me in a weird pickle. The merchandise is completely mediocre. Lots of pilly sweaters and cheap shoes. I got a pretty good score on a 1970’s leather skirt that I thought was $ 4.99 but the small dash made it a $ 14.99. At least it was 25% off. Ok fine.
The only reason I would come back to this store is because it is on my way to work and I would use it to kill some time and not go to the stores across the street that would make me spend more money.

SO far, this is the only Spree store in the Chicagoland area, but more are coming soon.
This place is directly across the street, busy LaGrange Road, from Orland Square Mall, for those who want to know exactly without consulting the above map.
I found out about this place while browsing with my boyfriend and his teenage sister this past October, less than a month after the store opened. And when I walked in this place with them, I was like, oh my gosh, this is marvelous!
And marvelous it was. There was a greeter at the door who explained to us what this place has, and that being fitting rooms, drinking fountains, restrooms, and something else he told us but I’ve forgotten that unfortunately. What is just as marvelous is the merchandise, and the prices they have. I couldn’t believe, that so many clothing items were $ 1.99 a piece! While the three of us browsed the store, I saw a fur coat, genuine fur coat, on the rack for $ 7.99! My eyes exploded when I found this out, and there wasn’t anything wrong with it period! I’m dying to wear fur coats, and I should’ve got it, but because my boyfriend’s sister was constantly pulling me away from things I was interested in to see something she found interesting, and I willingly let her torture me, I decided to forget about it until some other time.
So much kitchenware, so many undergarments, so much jewelry, so many electronics, so much bedding, so many home furnishings, so many toys-​all of it priced so freakishly low, you would have to say that Spree is definitely a thrift store where you can go on a TRUE shopping spree!
I’m coming back next month, but only if my boyfriend’s willing.
