Salon Evangelos Hair and Nail Salon

Very nice place, you really get what you paid for. Not cheap but so worth every penny, very educated people. Great customer serice.

This salon is tucked away in a tiny strip mall behind Famous Dave’s off Harlem Avenue. When I went searching for a ‘no chip” manicure, I stumbled across this little gem of a salon. I was amazed by the number of stylists here and the variety of clientel. I immediately liked my nail tech Melissa… she’s a perfectionist, funny and friendly too! As I was having my nails done, I was able to scan the salon and check out the hair stylists working. They are all very good at what they do! From the young to quite a bit older (as myself, LOL) the stylists seemed skilled with all ages. The salon has a very contemporary feel, and I enjoy looking at the creative hair colors, cuts, and styles. Ashley blows dries my hair… and I just LOVE it. She doesn’t use a really hot setting on the dryer so I don’t worry about damage to my hair… it turns out great! I’ve started calling Melissa and Ashley the «dynamic duo» because I couldn’t ask for a better team! The salon also has a line of their own hair products. I’ve only tried the shampoo and conditioner, and like them very much. Next to and connected to Salon Evangelos is Alison Andrews Spa. You can walk right from one into the other! Very convenient if you need a facial, massage, brows, etc. I would recommend this salon for anyone (men too), in fact the owner is a man, and I’ve watched him work many times. He is friendly and unpretentious! LOVE Salon Evangelos!
