Been here twice, OUTSTANDINGRIBS!!! Fell right off the bone. It’s not a fancy restaurant or anything, but it’s clean and I love everything I’ve ever had.

I stopped in right after they opened. Bought a hot dog that was not worth mentioning. I figured they just needed to get their act together. I drove by today, 11−19−15, and the place is up for rent. After reading the reviews, it’s no surprise!

Mediocre at best had the Texas burger it was pretty flavorless just drenched in BBQ sauce, also ordered the pulled pork fries and didn’t understand why there was cheese sauce under all the BBQ sauce and pulled pork. Prob won’t be back. But I had to give it a try

I had the large rib tips which comes with coleslaw, beans and fries. They were excellent! Great flavor and moist meat. Generous portion. Done in a small smoker in the kitchen. Hot and Spicy BBQ sauce and the mustard base BBQ sauce were crazy good. Fries were still great even after the were cold toward the end of my meal. Coleslaw and beans were very, very good. Wife had a burger which she loved. All the ingredients were very fresh Perfect. The owner said they grind the meat on premises and it tasted like it. Crunchy lettuce, ripe tomato and fresh onion The ambiance is dive BBQ joint and it is perfectly matched to their affordable, no nonsense BBQ. I’m so glad this place is right around the corner from my home. I can’t wait to hit them again!

***EDIT*** THISLOCATIONISNOLONGERINBUSINESS Good bbq and friendly staff. Reasonable prices. 4 stars based on bbq in this area. Would probably be 3 if there were better options in the area. I have no problem coming here when I’m craving bbq.

Just finished eating here. Unfortunately they missed the mark in my opinion. Friendly enough staff and neat ambiance, but the food fell short. I had the brisket which was bland. This should never be the case with brisket. Even the fries were tasteless. I didn’t finish my food, not because there was too much, just rather grab something else for lunch. Sorry guys, maybe read your reviews and make some changes.

THISPLACEISTERRABLE. We had the Beef Brisket Sandwich which was ALLFAT with BBQSAUCE. The inside looks like the lobby of a gas station. There is no heat ! There are far too many items on the menu. The owner hangs out with the customers so he can watch TV. DOYOURSELF A FAVOR and GOSOMEWHEREELSE.

Everything put there fails. But living in Brook Hill, it’s nice to have something so close. Food is good. My complaint is having only one person working there on a Saturday afternoon. That means he takes your order, goes in back, makes the food, gives you the food and addresses the next customer in line. Stick with Don’s down the street.

The decorations inside are cute and the staff was friendly. The food? Not so good. It wasn’t terrible but there was nothing memorable about it either. I can get better BBQ at Mariano’s, quite frankly.

Double cheese and fries is very good. Pricy for what it is. Other food is good too. Service is like a fast food place with a larger varied BBQ style menu.

Stop in Sunday for takeout lunch with my husband ordered beef brisket sandwich husband ordered One of the specialty burgers I agree with the other reviewers the brisket was dry thickly cut tasteless and absolutely drowning in barbecue sauce my husbands burger seemed like a frozen patty that had been pre-cooked it was horrible I always root for the small mom-and-pop stores to make it unfortunately this one will not

It’s fast food! Not gourmet! I’ve traveled to Georgia specifically for brisket I saw on the Food Network(diners & drive-ins). This is a heck of a lot closer & was good. The meal clearly states the sides of beans & slaw. Personally I didn’t love the slaw but it was fine. The beans I had that day had chunks of ham & peppers on it! Delicious for a fast food place. They don’t have an alcohol license… neither do most fast food places. Grab a can of pop, eat your brisket & beans & move on. Clean, fast, tasty, cheap.

I arrived with a taste for a good bbq pork chop sandwich, and wasn’t disappointed. The guy, possibly an owner, said what they have is a pork steak sandwich, and boasted about how tasty his fries are and told me the food is all cooked to order, unlike other places that pre-cook everything and heat it up on-demand. He assured me that it takes a little longer, but it’s worth the wait. Well the fries were delicious, the bbq sauce was tasty and the pork was cooked perfectly. It definitely was worth the wait and I will try them out for other selections in the future. There aren’t many bbq joints around, and they’re pretty passionate about their craft, give them a shot, I see others prefer potshots, to each their own.

Happened by this place while looking for a gas station, my wife had a job interview nearby. This place was next door to the station I found. He gave me a taste of the beef brisket, it was tender and tasty, the sauce was ok. I had high hopes for the pulled pork sandwich I ordered. I was diappointed, it was moist and tender, but didn’t have much flavor. It definetly wasn’t smoked long enough. and wasn’t well seasoned. Don’t think i’ll be nack

A part of the problem in my mind, I think, is that Meat House occupies the space Burger n Que did. Burger n Que in a lot of ways is the opposite of Meat House; BnQ had no real atmosphere(and a scary bathroom) but really good food. Really good food! Meat House, in contrast, is okay. They look really nice and do a lot of trendy things — good atmosphere, menu on a chalkboard — but the food isn’t anything special. They have some unique things on their menu but I’m not sure they’re composed of anything Meat House does with mediocrity. It’s not terrible — it’s just really 3-starish.

Hate to write a review like this as I really always hope fore places like this to be hidden gems, but unfortunately this is no gem. Stopped in as I was not sure if the former occupant Burger n Que had simply changed its name, or in fact it was a different restaurant altogether. Unfortunately it is clearly the latter. Tried the ribs. Extremely tough and bland. Sauce was nothing special. Fries were greasy, soggy and cold, and slaw and beans were not edible. They would do much better to buy all their offerings at Mariano’s and resell it. I’m sad to say I don’t think it will be around long.

Really sad, the place just opened. 3 greek guys and not 1 with any personality. Had their beef brisket and was asked what kind of sauce I wanted on it. I said none, only to find it sauced. Brisket was plentiful, but dry and really sub par. The baked beans were pathetic. Luke warm, bland, generic Campbell pork and beans. could have at least opened a can of Bush beans with maple flavoring. Fries were greasy. Looked menu over, very unimpressive. They offer 1 single ¼ burger, no double burgers. This place is the meat pit? It’s a huge disappointment. Go to 15300 s Pulaski and try Hog Wild. Well worth the drive. Great food, great prices, large freshly cooked portions.

Generous portions at a cheap price. Good tasting sandwiches(brisket and pulled pork), especially for«fast food». I’ll have to go back to carry out the pound of meat to go for dinner one night soon!

Are you looking for a nice, tender, flavorful, smoked meat? Hopefully not, if you’re heading here. This place just opened recently, and I’ve been interested in a decent barbeque spot that is closer than Smoke Ringz or Firewater. Alas, I must keep looking. For those of you from the area, this is what took over the old Burgers n’ Que. The owners/workers were nice, friendly, and seemed open to some advice. I am hoping they are able to change course in time. For this, the review is a legitimate 1 star(rather than 0). My order was a pound of brisket, half slab of ribs and«Chip Butty»(fries with melted cheese and beans). The order came with some slaw and baked beans as well. First thing’s first: the brisket. The meat was tough and tasteless. There was no observable rub and no smoke ring or coloration to the meat. My guess is that this was done in an oven or a boil bag rather than a smoker. Nothing tells us how the brisket is cooked, but when you put«pit» in the name of your business, I assume the meat is smoked. These guys would be better off corning the brisket and using the same preparation, in my opinion. Now, the ribs. Issues were pretty much the same as the brisket. No smoke ring, no real flavor, meat stuck to the bone, and the rack was slathered in enough BBQ sauce to overpower any flavor of meat. There’s only one problem. The BBQ sauce also has a significant lack of flavor… think over-vinegared ketchup with a hint of chili powder on the back end. Fries: Unseasoned entirely, and very bland. The«melted cheese» appeared to be shredded mozzarella and not melted by the time I was ready to eat it. The beans appeared to be pinto beans straight from the can. Baked Beans: Slightly more flavor than the can pinto beans on the fries, and probably the most seasoned food I received. However, that’s not saying much. Cole Slaw: I’m not sure cole slaw is a real food, so I’m not sure how to review it. There seems to be no creamy component to it. Just cabbage, vinegar, and no seasoning. I think the mere fact that I could stomach taking a bite implies that the stuff isn’t all that«cole slawy.» They have a bunch of grilled options, but the food issues seem to be the same across the board, so it isn’t really worth going back to try other things. Will upload pictures soon.
